made a thread for the SSFIV thing since fucking everyone on my friend list owns the game so there's a shit ton of potential keys

Just woke up to some exciting mails.

Dirty Bomb beta, Rise of Incarnates alpha and another test thing I can't even mention by name.

Two 50% off coupons on Onlive, which wouldn't be all that exciting except that they are selling Steam keys these days, so just have to wait until something worthwhile releases, I suppose. Doesn't seem to have any expiration date so got plenty of time.

I actually have bought the Warhammer Dawn of War II Collection from GMG and just noticed that each game in my library comes with a Steam key. I guess it will work the same way as Street Fighter.

Well, I finally did it -- finished Half-Life, that is. It took me almost 3 months playing off and on (sometimes just once a week).

I really enjoyed the second half of the game (everything after On a Rail). Considering the reverence with which the series is treated here on GAF, I feel a little bad for admitting how tough it was to play through the boredom I felt in the first half. I recognize there’s a certain historical significance to Half-Life, but I feel like the experience hasn’t aged as well as maybe a lot of other classics have. It’s not about the primitive graphics or voice acting, either -- it’s more what I see as lackluster level design and failure to generate and maintain momentum from early-to-mid game.

That said, it was an important experience for an FPS novice such as myself, and a good springboard into another FPS that I plan to jump on soon (BioShock 2). I’d have to say my favorite chapters were Surface Tension, Lambda Core, and Interloper, in no particular order. For someone who always considered first-person shooters to be outside the realm of his interest, those three stages did a good job of showing me differently. While it’s by no means become a favorite genre or anything, I have a deeper appreciation for it now. I’ll probably even play Half-Life 2 someday.

Well, since I bought an extra copy of SFIV for a friend, I have another spare key. First PM gets it

Edit: Gone!

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
They are slightly different, if you are just going to mess around trying to come up with the RPG of your dreams, just get VX and that will be enough. At least try it on steam, it'a free until sunday and the bundle is on until next thursday. You have plenty of time to make up your mind.

All the ambient writing in WD is so fucking immature. Those videos, ambient dialogue/phone calls, are all about sex and violence. Really weird.

Most of the surveillance stuff atleast. Another one I saw is the straight-out-of-a-porno lonely house wife who flirts with the plumber etc etc.

Though I've also seen some funny ones, like one where a dude professes his love for this girl and the girl says oh I love you too, you're like a brother to me and the guy is like oh...yeah...me too...

Watch_Dogs is looking like it will be the first Ubisoft openworld game I truly dig. Although it doesn't look like Steam is properly tracking my playtime, I had the same problem with Far Cry 3.

You should try the No One Lives Forever series. Probably getting rereleases soon.
