The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
It means Player versus Enemy as opposed to Player versus Player.

actually he had it right, I always heard it as environment myself. players are also enemies technically

then again Ive seen Tanks being called Tankers so /shrug

OH INDEED

I guess programmers can't be bothered with what happens outside our monitors. :D

And you should totally see my office desk! Cleaning lady once had like a panic attack.

Oh well, anyway my desk is a perfect example for why in 6 years I live here, I allowed my mother to stop by only twice, and just because I was away and my cat needed food.

Don't worry, I have the "constantly move laptop and speakers setup" so that most of the time everything is in the wrong place

Love your desk chair. Is that IKEA too? :D

Don't know if it's steam or just Capcom's implementation of SSF4:AE on steam, I always DL my games on my laptop then move it to my main PC, move AE to my main PC , steam verify the existing files and then proceeds to re-download it all again, WTF...

traditional spoken terms rarely makes literal sense, but in this case is kinda does, players can be friends, not necessary enemies, and humans in general are all siblings, while AI IS ENEMY OF HUMANITY
never forget that kids

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Oh man, my work desk isn't quite as bad, but it's still pretty messy. I'd post pictures except that I'd have to redact most of it with big black boxes.
It's top secret

Cool.

There's no Stomping Land thread?

I know JaseC shared a link earlier but it was for the Microsoft Rise IP thread.

For some reason there was a lot of people on that thread believing or hoping that Rise of Nations would make it to the Xbone. Seems like they don't know what Rise of Nations is about.

Early impressions of Motte Island:

I won this here from the awesomely named corrosivefrost.

From what I've played, the graphical style is really nice in motion - almost like a creepy painting - and the little I've experienced of the combat so far feels nice. I like the story too.

Unfortunately, Motte Island has no built in controller support. Here is the developer's idiotic explanation for why this is:

Hi currently the game have no gamepad support, mainly because we use mouse a lot in this game.

Happy gaming!

Really?! Hotline Miami has full controller support and works in much the same way this game does.

I was able to jerry-rig my own controller config via JoyToKey. It still feels somewhat clunky that way, but it works well enough.

Regardless, Motte Island seems like a really cool experience. I think it's worth seeking out, especially if it's still in a bundle.

Doesn't your desk generate any sort of vibration like that? Really nice, I knew I've seen a picture of it before.

I have it drilled into the wall with some really heavy duty dry wall anchors that are rated for 100 pounds each in traditional dry wall.

My dry wall is also older than most constructions and is a lot stronger, the anchors probably lean closer to where they are valued when drilled into concrete.

This thread always gets kinda weird before the new one goes up. Like there's a full moon or something.

This fucking Dante is a Megatonidiot.

Can't believe he let his brother live. Now the next Devil May Cry will be about killing his own brother and in the end saying some cliche shit like "I should have killed you".

Proudly finished it without a controller.

My good people, does the desk/space you use for PC Gaming is for leisure only or do you also use it for work/studying/productivity purposes?

I'm a big fan of a clean minimalist setup and I find it harder to combine that if you also use the same space for working/studying/etc since you need to have other objects near you. I'm just curious.

my home desk is basically just for gaming. Just the usual monitor, keyboard, printer, speakers, and some other stuff. Going to picking up a new one when I move, I'll probably need suggestions when the time comes.

im tempted to get back to Revelations and start III

same here, just too much bar filling and not enough time.

I guess we mostly use IKEA desks. Mine is a GALANT. I try to keep stuff as minimal as possible too.

...I don't see any porn on that desktop. Disappointed

My office area started nice....now it's a tire fire. Meh.

Hehe, was just coding on my laptop the other second and that wireless keyboard and mouse belong to the laptop. The G510s Keyboard and the G500 mouse is hooked up to my gaming desktop PC though, as well as my 24" 1080p screen. But when I'm coding I also hook up my laptop to the big screen and use the wireless k+m.

Basically my laptop is my development station while my desktop is my gaming station.

EDIT: Didn't realize that you can't see my desktop PC on that pic, so it must indeed look like I use two mice, two keyboards and two screens for my laptop, lol.

That's really interesting, hope you don't plan to move anytime soon as I can't imagine to work you've put into this project.

I didn't know Xenonauts was in EA, nice.

I read this as EA = Electronic Arts. I still think about an early access being on the "Top Sellers" making an interesting thread title like: Top selling game on Steam is a EA Title.

It's actually easier than it looks. I just unscrew it from the anchors and I can head out.

The desk disassembles into a tray for the parts, glass, and the frame.

Thanks, denx, for Hotel.

I've got a 75% off coupon for Orbitalis (early access, indie, simulation, retro puzzle, gravity), if anyone wants it.

You're welcome. :)

A lot of people got a 75% coupon for Orbitalis, me included. First time I hear about this game, but it got me curious.

Here's 0RBITALIS (not sure spelling it like that is the best idea since it makes it somewhat hard to find it on the store).

It actually looks very nice. I might bite.
