i mean, would you promise that if you ever get hacked, you get what you deserve and they should do nothing to help recover your account? and then double promise that you will keep your last promise when you get hacked and not ask for a one time emergency special consideration? because the problem is that the users who most insist they don't need protection have a remarkable way of growing up a bit the second they get hacked and then expecting to be helped. like, they have the numbers in front of them, they can see how many accounts get hacked. they can see how much money they save being able to automate account security through 2fa, how many fewer hours they need to devote to helping people recover their accounts.

I'd promise to never request a refund or request a trade reversal if they'd just give me the same market options I've always had back.

And I personally don't think the market lock is about compromised accounts. It's about compromised credit cards, and making it difficult for people to make use of those credit cards in the windows they have access to them. Compromised accounts dumping your tradeables is largely covered by the per-IP/browser lockouts they've had for years. And an effective authenticator should remove any chance of an account getting compromised, at which case any additional "protections" should be superfluous.

One single form requiring a separate device that not everyone even has. I think I've been pretty clearly arguing against the lack of options here, not authentication itself.

Congratulaions on the big win! What are you gonna do now?

Not play games on it.

E: lmao, Ozi isn't wrong. Been waiting for MKX since the November vault and contacted them again a couple months ago. Still nothing even though Lenard said "within the next week."

So I'm loving overwatch, but I game on a 60hz TV. I'm on a evga gtx980, so I average around 100 frames on ultra which feels great, but leads to some pretty bad tearing. I tried enabling vsync in nvidia control panel and triple buffering, this eliminates tearing but aiming doesn't feel quite as nice. Is there anyway to get rid of tearing but keep a nice smooth aim? Or is this just a compromise I have to make for gaming on a TV? Sorry for my ignorance, I've only been playing on PC for a couple of months, usually vsync is no problem, but in this game I can feel it.

I think the answer to this is usually playing the game borderless fullscreen windowed mode.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do -- probably put it in my gaming PC. If the VR boost is as good as it's supposed to be, I might switch it to my lower-end work VR PC.

I've got a 980 right now, so it'll be a pretty decent boost for me. (Or a 970 in the work VR machine, which would be even better)

k now im just tilted

Set a 60FPS framelimit using RivaTuner. It eliminates input lag like magic.
Also disable in-game VSync and triple buffering, and in Nvidia Control Panel, enable VSync (no triple buffering) and set pre-rendered frames to 1.

Edit: They updated the MSI Afterburner download page, scroll down and download version 4.2.0.

heh it took 3 months for their x-com 2 code situation to be handled

replaced it with overwatch so not a bad trade at least

Hold your horses, I suggested that trade but until I don't have the code in my inbox you won't see me smiling. Gotta remain vigilant and relentless or shit ain't happening.

What's wrong with in-game vsync?

All the alienware stuff always just seems like a lot of work.
Is it?
Follow the channel, watch the stream, maybe chat a bit, win. That's how it worked for me with Hotline Miami 2. I think the little bank heist game they have just messes with the likelihood you'll win, but it isn't necessary.

oh was that you

here i was thinking they thought it up on their own. now im kinda expecting lenard to forget

UnEpic is slowly getting towards its end. Just earlier lit 75% of the castle. It's easy but the side quests and golden spirit quests get repetitive. I do find it interesting how new Stats get introduced throughout the game though. Makes for interesting planning when leveling. Also nice to have an item similar to Soul Vessel/Tongue from Souls to respec stats.
But I would like to finish the game quickly now after 20 hours. Nice to get a lot of bank for your buck but this could have been easily half the length and still have all the exact same bang.
Holy cow, I can't believe I won!

Thanks for the congrats, people!
Congrats.

Was hoping for something i didn't have. blah

This seems to do the trick too. I usually hover between 85 and 95 fps, but when I enable vsync, limit frames rendered to 1 and set limiter in RivaTuner, it locks to 60 with drops as low as 45. Borderless Windowed keeps the fps up and eliminates the tearing. Anyone know the explanation behind this. (both are fine as the frame drops with vsync and frame limiter are rare and not too noticeable)
