star wars force unleashed 2 is pretty alright so far, i remember disliking the demo back then probably because it's sorta like a more linear action game with qtes and stuff than the first game, but it's enjoyable

2006 was nothing special to me by the time it finally released. Solid but not really a revelation.

Na, it was awesome at the time. The first time you go through the portal and end up on the tiny mini planet with the gian alien looking down at you was awesome. Not to mention all the unique gravity paths and what not.

That'd break games that expect to install to same directory as others. Mostly mods & expansion packs, before DLC was implemented.
Why wouldn't developers have access to thier own install paths?

It's like internet account but a user get to have multiple accounts on the same website, and every one of them unique.

I don't care much about DOTA, but Valve created a multiplayer campaign for this year's International.

mmm that terrain.

going to see how far I can get with only buying the level 1 compendium and just buy whatever I need at the end of it all.

I'm a sucker for terrains. Started with the level 75 but I'm sure I'll buy my way up to the 150 for the terrain when I play this weekend. I've just accepted at this point that Dota is enough of a hobby that there will be a time a year I drop too much money on it.

That is very interesting.

What if in the future Valve made a massive singleplayer campaign for Dota in the vein of PoE/Diablo? Would be amazing.

Decided to sell all my Comp stuff from DOTA for the first few, ended up with something like 70 bucks. They pay for themselves

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
From Prey OT:
I don't know how Steam let this slip through.

That's not actually true. While both are configured to install to "Prey" and use Prey.exe, the executables are in different locations and they otherwise don't share filenames, and have no common folder structure whatsoever, so nothing will go awry by having the two installed alongside one another. It's just an awkward situation... and one I doubt Bethesda will bother rectifying as it likes to pretend that Prey 2006 doesn't exist.

Sausages now clicking with me after sleeping and coming back to it.

Finished the first area. Taking a break before the upcoming difficulty spike.

and with completing Serious Sam 3 as part of 'oh hey let's play these games' brain fart, I literally never want to play another one of these ever again. Or at least not without cheating, otherwise I'd stopped at SS2 already. SS3 was doing quite well until the final level, where it pulls out the worst habit these games have and that's just dump too many enemies on you. No amount of pay-off on Dune sandworm was worth that.

Also, someone at Croteam really liked Unreal, which is at least nice to see. And that these games mimic the trends of their day, meaning the third almost gets actually serious in being brown & gritty. But these games are basically only endearing in co-op, soloing them is really not recommendable.
Also, these games have a really disturbing habit of adding a new mechanism on boss fights, without bothering to tell you. And putting some borderline game-breaking enemy in there for good measure, but that's kind of what it is.

what exactly does that mean? Some story based mode?
Diablo-lite it seems like. You have to buy the battle pass to get it though.

ACT I: THE SANDS OF FATE
ARRIVING LATER THIS MONTH

ACT II: A VAULT IN THE DEEP
COMING IN JULY

This summer, all Battle Pass owners are invited to undertake a cooperative adventure into the blackest depths of Dark Reef.

Available to play later this month—and with Act II arriving in July—this all-new campaign calls upon you to party up with three friends or queue-met allies to battle through a diverse landscape of loathsome monsters, cunning traps, and other lethal terrors.

With the fate of Dark Reef and the safety of the free seas hanging by a fish-gut thread, you'll need to work together if you're to find any hope for survival.

Thanks Capcom for nothing...I really hoped for a PC version of code Veronica (and a 1:1 port should be very easy and quick to do honestly), instead they decided to go with a PS2 Classic on Ps4...for no reason at all, since that should be an inferior version right now the HD release exists.

I finished Darksiders a few hours ago and started second game, only played two hours for now and this two hours was much more enjoyable than my 18 hours of first game experience. No cool puzzles like first game is sad for now but especially OST (Jesper Kyd!) and battle mechanics are fucking fantastic! Also wish game had much better optimization.

Wait for third game will be so hard. :( Will play this gem slowly.

Will Steam version of Black Desert be region locked too?

Yes, it will have the same IP region block.

"There is no change to the current IP restrictions for the Steam service, our licensed service area at this time remains the same as it has been. Should there be any change to this we'll be sure to let folks know. Players who are unfamiliar with this can read our FAQ" - CM_Aethon (Community Manager)

Nah I'm not overreacting, but after two ports one would expect them to release the game on PC too, I'm just bummed if this turns out to be a PS4 exclusive port.

I had the exact opposite reaction to both games. The first one took a couple of hours to 'click' with me but once it did I had a wonderful time. The second one is an excessively long open world slog with none of the charm or character that the first one had. It still baffles me that they dumped the meaty combat and the world's inter connectivity for a spammy loot fest filled with fetch quests...

Theyll telease it in due time
As the saying goes "these things, they take time"
Tho o be fair we could e gotten the pc release by now and who knows maybe with re2make getting a 2018 release date they may want to fill that period with code veronica later this year
