Is that Avatar thing pretty popular in the US then? I think I know that Korra is a character from that from seeing it mentioned on here, but I wouldn't know otherwise. I don't think it's big in the UK. Unless I'm just not in the right age bracket for it, I'm 30. I don't think anyone I know is familiar with it but I'm sure it's probably shown on TV here somewhere. Would people know that Korra is an Avatar thing if they'd only heard of Avatar? Then again, I don't think I know anyone who'd be picking up Bayonetta 2 so I'm not sure whose side I'm supporting. I think most of the people I know would be a little embarrassed picking up Bayonetta if they saw it.
I think Avatar and Korra has it largest fan base here in the US. Maybe some in Canada and Japan. But yeah I wouldn't expect that many people to know about it outside of the US. The two shows appear on Nickelodeon which is a kids-teens channel. So I would put most of the demographic between 8-25. But its not unheard of to hear about older fans since the two shows deal with a lot of real world problems, political and all that, mixed in a fantasy setting.
Though I have to say Avatar was geared more toward 10-15 years old, while Korra presents more mature themes and conflicts, more for 16+.
I'm guessing its the creators way of letting the franchise grow with it audience.
I highly recommend it to everyone, if you aren't one of those people who hates anime/cartoon. I think you would love Avatar/Korra. Just make sure you watch it in order.
but do those people play games? That's the question we should ask.
Its the 21st century, unless you live in a very poor developing country, living in poverty or Amish. There are a lot of people that play video games. And yes Angry Birds included.
