Just ordered another 8GB stick of RAM. I need my PC at peak performance for Fallout. The only thing I'm below on for recommended specs is my CPU, it's a 3.4ghz instead of 3.6 recommened, but I have a feeling it won't be too much of an issue.

I'm so scared about Fallout 4. I try to never get hyped because of video games, because I always end up dissapointed, but this time it's being really hard

Will they get removed from our libraries as well?
Can't help but wonder how Valve will treat licenses for games that break copyright.

They can, yes. But the only time I remember they took out a license for everyone was for the online portion of some Squeenix game. Those will just be delisted from the store, like many others.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
yup. as someone who LOVES Mother 2 (earthbound) I don't want to play a fake mother game. It's like if someone made a fake metroid game and called it Super Metroid 2. I'm just going to write it off and not care because I can't take your game seriously. Yet you can make an awesome fake metroid and call it QWERTY and i'm down to check it out.

I think they're also pushing the "legitimacy" angle by saying that Shigesato Itoi is aware of and spoke highly(?) of their work. They're trying to pass this off as a legitimate sequel which also really bothers me. Like - what happens to this game if/when an actual Mother sequel is announced? It sounds crazy, but a lot of companies are riding that sweet sweet nostalgia gaming gravy train lately and we've even seen Mother (Earthbound Beginnings) released in the US - which many people thought would never happen.

So from one angle I can appreciate their attention to detail and the fact that they're releasing this game free. But on the other hand they're also putting together a "fan guide" (physical strategy guide) and I thought at one point they were discussing merchandising which makes me think that this will not end well for them.

Battlefront is pretty darn amazing.

Keep in mind I'm extremely biased since I love star wars, battlefront, battlefield, and Dice.

But yeah its pretty awesome, extremely excited to play the final product.

I'm pretty sure those that have them will get to keep them. Valve doesn't really have any system in place to handle refunding purchases outside of Steam and I don't think they're quite ready to open that can of worms.

Yo ladies & gents. I need a birthday present for the new missus. She doesn't have Portal nor Portal 2, and I'm sure she'd sodding love 'em both. If anyone has a copy of either lying around, or some sort of Valve-pack or portal pack, please do shout! I'm a bit skint, but I can probably pay something reasonable (and I also have 1484 trading cards in my inventory at the moment, so... You can have some of those too. :p)

And yes, I realise this isn't B/S/T, but I kind of like you people, and BST scares me and also noone is selling it in there.

Cheers ladies n' gents. You're good folk.

You should be able to get a cheap copy because of the Steam controller promo. If I had one, I'd hook you up, but I can't bring myself to order a Steam controller without trying it first.

I'm on Steam but hadn't noticed if you saw it yet or not. Not really paying attention since I'm not on my normal Steam box.

And I agree, you're right -- but Guile could be zoning too with anti-air flash kicks and the sonic boom projectile game -- especially if they pulled in some of the Remy tools (if they're not going to give us Remy straight up, maybe they can at least pull some of his shenanigans in...). Besides, we don't have Sagat yet, so there's nobody throwing high/low projecticles... I don't know, Dhalsim as an answer seems reaaaaaallly underwhelming.

And I'm surprised Capcom just didn't release everything for Laura once it was leaked, unless it wasn't ready...

Laura was always intended to be revealed during BGS, just because she leaked early doesn't mean they have to change heir plans.

And I accepted it! I was a little surprised I didn't have you as a friend already.

I'd much rather see Boxer in than Dhalsim, but Dhalsim's got the most unique look and style out of any of the remaining SSF2T characters, and I feel we are lacking a zoning character in SFV, which points towards him being included. It's a shame, but if we're getting 8 SSF2T characters in the game, then I guess we'll just have to put up with some disappointing choices.

Also, Capcom finally officially announced Laura. She has a last name apparently, Matsuda. Which means she's related to Sean from SFIII.

Well shit, I assumed they were related just not brother and sister lol.

Man if Sean is in the game it'll be hilarious.

Yo damn! Battlefront looks unreal! I was just marveling at the ground, the rocks, my gun and the sweet, sweet particle effects :O

Such a damn shame there is no single-player campaign. I prefer those to MP any day.

Treyarch Explains How It Incorporated Player Feedback From The Black Ops III Beta

When a beta test occurs, many players like to use it as an early sneak peek of a game that will be releasing in the coming months. For developers, however, alpha and beta tests serve a very real purpose in helping them to fine-tune the experience and gather feedback from some of the most passionate fans. With the Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta now several weeks in the rear-view mirror, Treyarch game design director David Vonderhaar took to the PlayStation Blog to share some of the changes that have been made in the time since the test.

According to Vonderhaar, several players voiced concerns regarding how powerful the game's Black Hat equipment, which allows you to hack scorestreaks and enemy equipment, was. To address this, Treyarch has implemented a new hacking mechanic that scales the length of time it takes to hack enemy equipment and scorestreaks to how close you are to that enemy and how precise you are with aiming the equipment. The time it takes to hack has also been adjusted to take longer, and the hacker is now pointed out on the minimap during the hack, making it easier for the targeted player to counter the attack.

Similar concerns were voiced about Rejack, one of the Specialists' abilities, which allows Nomad to revive himself when killed. Some players were upset that Rejack stole a kill away from them, and that it allowed for stacking of scorestreaks. To fix these complaints, Treyarch is making it so that Rejack does not prevent a kill going in the "kill" column of the one who guns down Nomad, meaning that players receive credit for the kill immediately. Also, when players use Rejack to revive themselves, their scorestreak resets.

There are several other changes being implemented into the final game thanks to feedback collected from the beta test. If you'd like to learn more about what those changes are, you can head to the PlayStation Blog and read David Vonderhaar's full post. Call of Duty: Black Ops III releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 6. Those who are wanting to see more footage of the game are in luck, as Activision and Treyarch are showing off new footage every Friday starting this week at 3 p.m. Eastern / 12 p.m. Pacific on the official Call of Duty YouTube channel.

She could always be Sean's mum.

Ken's bastard son? Eliza who?

Laura was always intended to be revealed during BGS, just because she leaked early doesn't mean they have to change heir plans.

Just because you plan to "reveal" stuff at a certain time doesn't mean you can't adapt your strategy and embrace the leak rather than ignore it. Eager fans want to know more about the character they saw the leak about... making them wait for it just because you planned to release the video later isn't always a winning strategy.

There is no 'adaption'; it is simply as I wrote- Laura's reveal was intended to be during BGS, if they wanted to reveal everything about her after the leak went out, that's their decision to make, and they chose not to.
I don't recall if that's what they did when UMVC3's new characters were revealed but I do believe they didn't showcase all the characters' trailers upon their leak-age, and instead revealed 2 characters' trailers each month.

Furthermore calling it a 'winning strategy' is a funny thing to say seeing as even those that followed the leaks were still impressed by the character and liked her, and really, who exactly 'suffered' about this in the past few days? We had the images, we got the trailer, now we're getting gameplay details.
Fans aren't 'eager', they're impatient :V

So I bought Darkest Dungeon on Oct 3rd and now it is on significant sale. I requested a refund through steam for the difference even though I've played over 6 hours. Do they generally tend to accept requests like this?

I had a lot fun playing Battlefront today. Looks like I will be purchasing it day one. I normally wouldn't bother with a multi only title but my inner Star Wars nerd demands that I do. That euphoric feeling of winning on Hoth as the rebels is something else. Looking forward to the final release.

In Steam related news I have Pillars of Eternity to try but I just want to play more Witcher 3. Good thing the next bit of content is just around the corner.

well i got a "no" back from them on this, just because of my play time. I think that's pretty crappy when it seems like in the past they used to accomodate these types of issues. Anyone have success in the past with this kind of request?
