hold on a second people, why do you think Odin Sphere is Atlus game again?
I must be missing something here. IP may belong to them, IDK, but I thought it's Vanillaware game, and it's nothing like any other Atlus game.

ATLUS has always been the publisher.
SMT3 would be nice.
Persona 3 & especially 4 are several times more popular though.

I didn't mention Persona because I don't think it has any chance of happening at the moment, especially not as their first PC release.

yeah, but it's still not Atlus game, as not developed by them and nothing like Atlus games in general. Or do you mean IP?

edited: I mean I wouldn't call it Atlus game

Correct but if they publish it then it would be their decision to put it onto Steam, not Vanillaware.

yeah, I understand that but Yian said of all Atlus games you choose Odin Sphere? I just can't see it as Atlus game, in that sense, that is all

It's an Atlus game because it's published by Atlus. I know who developed it, but Vanillaware has no influence over a PC port so Atlus is the relevant party here. Please don't make this more difficult than it is.

I don't know what "an Atlus game in general" is.

It's just like Dragon Quest 9 is a Square Enix game even though it's developed by Level 5.

You guys are out of your mind, catherine is the ATLUS game which they should test the waters on PC with.

If they would ever do such a thing as release something on PC.

As you mentioned DQ, I'm for square enix actually porting over some DQ games, like I want DQ a lot more than another FF on steam.

Only game I want on PC right now is Zelda Dungeon Maker. But seeing as that is a figment of my imagination let alone a real WiiU title I'm good (I think).

I know, I was just confused why you'd complain about the lack of a PC version for Odin Sphere when there are about 100 better ATLUS games that arent on PC

There are 100 better RPGs than Nep Nep and yet we're getting the whole shebang of it :V
Odin Sphere's re-release, being a new upcoming release would be a good title to bring onto Steam for Vanillaware to make their mark there.

Odin Sphere is getting an upcoming HD port and is getting frequent attention. Whether you think the game is good or not is irrelevant, the game is relevant due to its media presence and discussion.

It's about as relevant to PC gaming as Persona 5

That being not at all

Discussing Odin Sphere doesn't preclude Persona 5 port discussion. They both would be very successful on the platform.

Why wouldn't they be relevant to PC, because they have never been on the platform? Seems short sighted. Especially with the collapse of the console market in Japan and the potential stagnation worldwide going forward.

I am a huge preservationist, so would prefer if all games were available on PC. It's unfortunate when platforms receive exclusive games, especially arbitrary exclusives, that will be stuck on a dead, outdated platform indefinitely. The PS4 has a few years left before a refresh, but it's already becoming immensely outdated in 2015, let alone going forward.

Atlus even has problem to release games in EU/NA at the same time on consoles (yes im very salty about that as european). There is literally zero chance that there will be a atlus pc release in the next 2+ years.

The biggest problem was that you'd play the same game 5 times. Not sure how they can fix that.

I think they should port SMT3 as a test. I bet it'd do great numbers. But Dragon's Crown would be cool too.

The ULTIMATE money on the table story. Im guessing the ownership turmoil was the start of that, but were years into pc-friendly sega time by now.

Wow at this gem from the DOAX3 thread
This is the kind of shit that really grinds my gears. You have a cast of characters that are super-human ninjas during battle yet they can't even balance or stand properly on a platform while getting nudged.

Why the hell do you bother with making this game and ruining the image of the combatants in the Dead or Alive series? What ever happened to the whole "I'm a Fighter" campaign and then suddenly turning all of them into "Do-Nothing-Sex-Objects"? Why not make a new IP so you can retain the shroud of respect left to the characters of the Dead or Alive franchise?
As if DOAX1&2 didnt exist and they weren't sexualized already in the main series.

As someone who is a huge Dead or Alive fan as a fighting game, that's really damn funny to act like the characters in those games, both male and female, weren't sexualized until the announcement of DoAX3.
