Yeah I was really interested in JC3 a few months ago but thinking about it. JC2 was fun but it was I don't know too big. I am already not the biggest fan of Open World games, JC2 was already an outlier (if it isn't GTA anyway). There was also too many tiny objectives I am only at 40% even to this day.

Magic beats everything just for the benefit of having decent novels. Loved the Kamigawa Trilogy.
Have played magic? One token multiplicator deck and you need like a whole motorcycle gang to hold all your tokens.

I'm really interested in Paradox's Grand Strategy Collection. I recently got EU3: Complete and have been enjoying that a lot. I know what to expect from EU4, but how are Crusader Kings 2, Victoria 2, and Hearts of Iron 3?

EU4, CK2 and HoI are significant different from each other. Especially HoI is completely different then the others. To this day I didn't manage to get into HoI, but I played a bit of EU4 and CK2, both very fun. Give it a shot.

I have played Magic since probably 2000. Seven was making a joke about Yugioh 5Ds. We are assuming that stuff like tokens would be auto generated by computers.
You wouldn't have to hold tokens.
What about green decks that just throw critters over critters at you? Duelmasters couldn't even handle the amount of cards out in the field in a usual Magic game.

CK2, Vicky 2, and HoI are all very different beasts.
If you like murder, intrigue, backstabbing, bloodline disputes, and tons of family politics, get CK2.
If you like super detailed country management, even MORE politics, and jockeying for world power status, get Vicky 2.
If you want a highly complex wargame set in WW2 with incredible attention to detail and a mountainous learning curve, get HoI.

i quite like mercenary kings
it's not like a groundbreaking game or anything but it's gorgeous and has enough twitch gameplay that it doesn't feel like just a grind like boredlands or something
i'm not a fan of metal slug so to me its monster huntery rpg style is much more enjoyable

I'd advise against that please; look up the game's OT, this is one of the deepest fighting games out there, so if you're willing to put the investment into the game, enter the giveaway, otherwise leave it so others who are interested in it can have a chance at winning it.
No joke, this game is so deep, I didn't buy it for myself.
