Maybe its better if you don't call it the anniversary of the worst day of your life.
You should just try to not think about it and do something else man. Seriously. I have had really bad days in the past too and now I try not to think about it when those days come back around and it help.
Go out, play games, whatever take your mind off of it.
But cheer up. At least you didn't get a big D.

Not saying this is what you should do, but therapy worked for me when I was at a bad place in my life a few months back. I went for three months, and while it hasn't completely set me right, I'm a lot more grounded and focused than I was before.

If I remember correctly, the Steam versions of the Cossack 2 games pretty eff for Win 7/8.1 since they're older versions.
Honestly that's one of my biggest issues in Endless Legend. The battles are just blergh. You don't even seem to have much control, either. You get to choose who they go for, but half the time the game seems to ignore that anyway....
You should work for Brazzers brah. Cause that was B-E-A-U-tiful!

GOG is the only place to shop for older games. Steam has too many older titles with incompatibilities or problems based on your system.

Just got through Alien Isolation. Certainly my favourite game of the year, albeit I haven't really played too many games from this year. Oozes atmosphere and tension for the most part. It really is worth while to have time set aside for this one to really just explore and not feel like you are in a rush. I had some days where I just wanted to see what was next but that really took me out of the fun and tension of the game so I reverted back to just taking it slow and taking everything in.
Also I really was surprised by the performance of whoever is playing Ripley. She does a really exceptional job throughout. Playing on the hardest difficulty is a must in my opinion. The Alien's behaviour seems really wonky on normal, often you can get away with way too much. Similarly health is plentiful as are supplies which is kind of boring in this kind of game.
The only downsides for me are the weird lip-sync issues during the game and sometimes iffy cutscenes. I also found that the very late game was probably taking things a bit far in terms of pacing. It really messed with the tension a fair bit, and I don't think it had the effect that would have been best for the late game.
Finally, I have read around and heard a fair few complains about the length of the game being too long. Frankly, I found it highly preferable as I wasn't expecting it and I was enjoying the experience, however I feel a fair few chunks were lengthened in a very poor way. There would certainly have been better ways of doing it, particularly towards the end.
Anyway, really enjoyed it, highly recommend it, just make sure you set time aside and can really sit down and take it in. A last word of warning - performance is key for this game so preferably, playing at as high a framerate as possible!

Awesome. I just parked it as it was getting a bit stale, but I had a really fun ~10ish hour of fun with RoR a month or two ago. Fantastic game, GoTY contender for me easily.

Anyone here use a PS3 controller? Mines been having issues lately, it doesn't turn on automatically when I turn on my pc and unplugging and plugging back in doesn't do anything. It just has the 4 lights blink when it charges then it goes black again. I use that SCP server thing but one day it became automatic without having me to open up the file every time I wanted to use the controller. It only works if I open up SCP server again, any ideas?

That's why you're a good person. Well, not the dinosaur part, that's just terrible.
Even if you did get rid of one of the best avatars you had during the summer sale.
Now I sort of want to get that achievement again. I always forget about getting around to trying to get it just because I'm not interested in that game.
I should try to get that Cowboy Bebop achievement in Gemini Rue, too.
