I dont need a new GPU this year but thinking of upgrading for AC Origins do ye think its worth waiting till next year to get an 1180 and stick with my 980 for now or upgrade to a 1080 now
yep they added when DLCs released for last Anno and Heroes of MM games .... it spawned some wierd errors for people (aka the classic denuvo errors but masked as Uplay errors) ... was hilarious to watchAdd to older games? Seems like the complete opposite of what they should be doing. Do they hope it will result in more sales or what? I can't really see anyone overthrere who knows anything thinking it was a good idea.
No you're right, we should forget pendragon backstabbed icefrog. We should also forget that he was admin of largest dota community, was working at riot and when riot wanted to publicize their game he took down dota forums, held the db hostage, pulled up lol. We should also forget that he then proceeded to troll/trash-talk dota at every point, even releasing blog-posts stating how lol was the new thing.
We should also forget that he then came under intense criticism, returned the db, but playdota had already been started. He then grovelled at dota community when he saw dota being vastly more popular than lol. We should also forget that he was then at the front of trying to get blizzard to sue/take-down dota.

Basically what you're saying is, if someone shot you, and you survived - you'd never bring it up again. Because it's old history. Right?
like i said on my first post, the problem with any talk about pendragon is that a) bringing up pendragon is always irrelevant to what's being discussed at the time and b) being outraged 8 years ago doesn't grant you the right to talk out of your ass because you're completely out of touch with current riot/league (like saying riot doesn't listen to criticism, for instance). What Pendragon did was so despicable that even League fans can't defend it and instead go with "but it was so long ago". The passage of time doesn't make it better. As another example, it's been about five years since Randy Pitchford tried to pull the Aliens Colonial Marines con job and people still remember it today. Sometimes these things stick.
ye that legit sucksI liked Rising Thunder...

Isn't Uplay a more inconvenient DRM than Denuvo anyhow?
Yeah, it's just if you're playing a Uplay game it makes me wonder why Denuvo would matter as it's effectively invisible. Whereas Uplay requires another account, as well as having the client running to play games and being independently updated.Uplay isn't inconvenient, just superfluous. It's completely unobtrusive but doesn't add anything of value.
i'm gonna speed things up now, probably gonna want to play divinity instead

I don't think you're gonna like this game, i was literally just a minute ago tricked into french kissing a spider
I sincerely hope nothing in that picture is photoshopped
besides the text
Haha I've seen spiders doing worse things than that on Animal Planet etc. Like holy shit some of these things are right out of a lovecraftian nightmare.

This is a good post.I really didn't enjoy MGS4 at all. The ending was also hilariously never ending, and I needed to leave the house.
For me MGS3 and Peace Walker were good fun. Really enjoyed MGS V too. As games, with the exception of MGS4 I had good fun with all of them. As stories, they are all abysmal. As far as direction goes, there are good moments and then complete shit, eg the forever Kojima inspired leering camera man and pathetic female characters and designs, but that is part of the comedy for me. All of it just becomes one big joke while the games are good fun in-spite of that
Cdkeys are quite open with refunds just try no to abuseit much ;pSo hey, remember that post earlier saying MvC Infinite was at 25 dollars on CDKeys? I just got refunded for that because of a region mixup.

Ubi hasn't said anything about AC Origins pc version yet, right? Probably another Ubi Kiev joint?

No? CDKeys likely is suspicious of certain regions. I was never asked to provide any form of ID whenever I bought or signed up to their site.
Are these not also things that Uplay is guilty of by design? Being against DRM outright is one thing, but the idea that someone would be okay with Uplay but Denuvo giving them pause is one that seems contradictory to me.Well, I'd say there are two legitimate reasons for being anti-Denuvo in particular: being philosophically opposed to DRM that is quite literally designed to prohibit game preservation, although the extent to which Denuvo is being undone by crackers is rendering this a non-issue, and being in a situation where what is essentially periodical reactivation can be a nuisance. There are other reasons, too, but nothing else comes to mind as particularly valid (e.g. the myth that Denuvo was responsible for Rime PC's higher-than-expected hardware requirements).
well its additional layer of DRM ... and more layers givse more chances for something to go wrong , especially when in Uplay, Denuvo masks itself as Uplay errorsAre these not also things that Uplay is guilty of by design? I had to show them my ID and I'm from Germany.
That CA is certainly cranked to 11. I hope there's a toggle.
You could make the argument that UPlay has actual features that are useful for us. They are superfluous when used in conjunction with Steam, but they are something. Are these not also things that Uplay is guilty of by design? D:OS2 still has the same issue with leveling as the first one, where getting one level makes too huge a difference in combat

You mean the issue where leveling up is a milestone in the game and not just a slight increase in power? :V
