And I still can't even get SoM to play...

Failed to start game (unknown error).

I deleted appcache, turned off my AV, even re-downloaded the whole game and nothing :(

But I already have it on my PS3.

since when does it matter?

The Ultimate Edition is not avaiable in my region because EA -_-

Maybe he enjoys writing about adventure games he didn't like? xD

About knives in CS:GO
what the point of it ?
i see some super expansive knives in the market , i have no idea what its do ?
how to earn them without paying ?
you use the keys to open some box for example to fine what hidden ?
Well consider the fact that you will spend 50% of the time running with your knife out. You get a good amount of chance to show it off. But every knife does the same damage at the same speed. The only different is the animation and skin.

And the only way to get them outside of trading someone else for it or buy it if you get super lucky when opening a case. Like JaseC :p one guy on Twitch said that he opened 1000 cases before he got one. But then he got two in row. So yeah:p

A bit late, I was out, but yes definitely. I'm also on 2GB VRAM.
I was able to run it on High texture with almost no dip in frame rate so I'm pretty surprise. I'll test it out some more today. Is there any good software that measure your frame rate while you play live?

Quick SteamGAF, should I buy Dragon Age: Origins?
Dragon Age: Origins is GOAT. One of the best RPG ever.

I feel like over the past days SteamGAF is about ready to boil over into a Tales of vs Final Fantasy knife fight between supporters of each series.

Oh I don't know, it's not like it should be a prerequisite to have a liking for a game to be able to review it. Plus we could do with a cat amongst the pigeons in the professional review space. Though I will say this, from my time of following Mr Walker's career I get the feeling he's pretty horrible at most games. Some of the RPS community used to dub him 'The non-player'.

And I still can't even get SoM to play...

There's a couple of reports of the game failing to start with no dialog box popping up or crashing either straight away or after a brief time on the Community section. One person had success from rolling back their graphics drivers. They were using a Nvidia GPU and rolling back the drivers from 344.11 to the earlier 340.52 did the trick for them. Some though are still having issues even getting it to start. If it's crashing I'd have a look in Event Viewer and see if you can find the faulting module, if it's the game executable or a specific driver that might be causing it. Hope this in some way helps and you can sort it.

Kicking a man while he's down :(

And yes, I still only have 1GB VRAM, but was expecting to at least be able to turn it on...

Hopefully it ends with all of them dead and the Shin Megami Tensei supporters as the deserved winner.

Actually I take that back it's going to more play out like Game of Thrones. There will back stabbing, subterfuge, unexpected death from key players and probably get a bit raunchy/creepy too if the waifu brigade join in.

Mordor on my GTX 660 at 1080p is just a mix of low and medium.
Still it basically holds a constant 30FPS with rare dips to 25 and no lower so there that at least.

Damn, doesn't look good for my 680M then (which is somewhere around a 660ti). I was hoping to at least be able to play 30 FPS high on 1080p.

So I bought a cheap witcher 3 from putin for a friend. Got it in my inventory and gifted it to my friend. He accepted the gift and added it to his library but now its not showing up in his games list. Its gone from my inventory but it doesnt show up anywhere on his account.

What did go wrong?

I still regret watching the first episode of that show with my mother. Not knowing what I was getting myself into. "Hey mother! Let watch this! I heard its like Lord of the Rings, tons of fantasy stuff!"

And bam,
incest
. Luckily, she has taken a liking to the Walking Dead.

Thought my 660 would struggle with mordor but just tried the benchmark at it was 40-60 fps @ 1200p everything set to high with 1.5gb of vram. Now to see if the game perorms similarly

Such a huge discrepancy between two 660s, how?

no knives will be needed, I'll just use true rune of punishment on all that don't know better
than to admit superiority of Suikoden over any games ever created

Define "my family"?
me, my two PCs and a laptop?
ya, I watch with my family around me too, read the same way

I think that's largely true with adventure game reviews in general. It gets to the point where metacritic scores for adventure games are largely unhelpful. I decided to go through my library and pick out a handful of adventure games that I felt were truly good, if not excellent.

The Samaritan Paradox: 75
The Night of the Rabbit: 75
Blackwell Deception (the fourth one in the series): 73
Cognition: didn't even get a ranking

The highest adventure game rated in my library: Machinarium with an 85. To be fair, that's also pretty good.

How do you push an adventure game beyond 85? Nostalgia (Monkey Island Special Edition got an 86) or strip game elements out of it completely (Gone Home got an 86.)
I'd be very interested to see if an adventure game ever cracked 90.

Is this to imply that we should only get adventure game fans to review adventure games? Well, no. But nor should the opposite occur.

Did he accidentally accept it as a gift instead of adding it to his library?

lol, i was going to sign up on WBplay, but they wouldnt let me input more than one digit, so i ended up saying my age was 2. Now it doesnt let me register. Does anyone knows where the savefiles are located?

That's strange. I was able to put in 22 when I signed in.
Did you accidentally put a space in?

I'm pretty sure Heavy Rain (if we consider it a game and an adventure one) had over 90 at some point. Metacritic in general is as useless as it is possible.
Gone Home at 86?! (><)

Grim Fandango will. I find it hard to believe it will get anything lower than 90.

Speaking of computer specs. Why is it that so many 2d games on steam require so much ram/ processing power? Some of these games look like something out of the SNES era yet require so much computer power? What am I missing?

While I have played this game long time ago I didn't post some proper impressions for you all my good people. I left these impressions bellow on a Steam review so you can rate up or down if you wish.

Enter the realm of Mousewood where a world filled with magic and warm feelings wait for you and your journey to begin. As soon you start the game, the first thing you will notice is how unique the art style is. With warm and vibrant colours, The Night of the Rabbit is the perfect (summer) adventure to play any time of the year, it's easy to fall in this world, it's charming and will win your heart, if you allow it. Without giving too much information, it's wise to understand that not everything is what's appear to be. There is plenty of mystery and magic surrounding Mousewood with plenty to see in a selection of different locations.

Filled by imagination and creativity you will encounter puzzles through your journey. Depending on your perception, these can be easy to medium difficulty while others may take some time to understand. You will have to meet new people, do some favours, help others, gather materials and much more in order to advance the Story. While advancing through the game you will listen the amazing soundtrack that makes a nice companion. It's already easy for you to fall in the story due the charm of the art style but music always played an important role in these types of games and it's great to see that such role was not ignored during the creation of the game.

While playing the game, enjoying the scenery, listening to the music, narration and other character's stories it took me about 14 hours -give or take- to finish the game. Not once I felt the rush or need to end the story in a quick session or two. It's a pleasant game to play in a very calm and relaxed environment that will leave you stuck to your monitor until the very end. If you are like me, I do enjoy to play certain games during certain seasons of the year. With Autumn coming soon and then Winter, The Night of the Rabbit is the perfect fit to play after a long tiresome day or during that rainy, cold afternoon while having some warm coffee or tea by your side to keep you warm. I know it may seem odd, but having a nice surrounding while playing some games can make the immersion even bigger (and better) and this is something important while playing any type of game.

If you are a fan of point and click games, intriguing stories and astonishing visuals thanks to a well drawn art style, then this may be the game for you. It's a game telling a story, a game that asks the player not to see a journey but to go with it and tag along as you play Jerry, the main character.

As always apologies for the lack of a better English. I do try to improve my vocabulary when possible.

SNES didn't had to run MS Windows underneath all the games.

That's because console games are coded to the metal and far more efficient and advanced than clunky $2000 PC boxes.

The engines they're running on are less optimized and not made exactly for 2D or sprite games. The sprites themselves can also have more frames of animation or be at higher resolutions, which explains the large RAM usage.
