Thanks for the thoughts. I figure at its current price it's probably worth a shot either way!

i mean really the fallout games are kind of timeless since point and click movement isn't like tank controls that just doesn't work now. same with turn based combat, it's not like playing a super old action game that doesn't have strafing or something

and it's all hi-res renders so it doesn't look like a n64 thing or whatever

fallout aged beautifully

the one thing annoying about it is the inventory and that was pretty annoying back then too

Save deleted --> start over.

aka poor judgement

So blacklist is okay so far.
Full stealth playthroughs are impossible tho, if you're
having to run around with whiny bitches under your arm like at the end of the first mission. No, shooting a dude in the head without anyone noticing it doesn't really consist of stealth for me
=p

Playing Castle Crashers on local co-op was a fun experience, except for the silly story and the character progression, it was bringing back memories of when me and my brother could play Golden Axe on our Mega Drive. Is there any way to turn on "friendly fire"?

i feel like my most played list is pretty decent

gamemaker - 853 hours
new vegas - 238
dark souls 2 - 174
dark souls 1 - 150
warband - 147
deus ex hr - 102

tf2 doesn't count cos it was mostly my brother playing on my account

edit: also over 180 hours of the king's bounty series <3

Is Dead State still on target for a full release this year?

i don't think so. says "fall 2014" on the steam page but i dunno when fall is in usa

That first mission is atypical of the rest. Full stealth or ghost is definitely doable for the rest.

Bad start to the game, in my opinion. The rest gets much better. I was a pretty big Chaos Theory fan and I thought this was a good entry to the series. My complaint was that the MP was jacked to hell on PS3 and would cause frequent drops, with no saved gains.

Heh. I've gotten through 3 Grim missions on Ghost Perfectionist so far, but it's Uplay so the achievements are meaningless. Also, the coop is a barren landscape.

My most played game TF2 is tainted by so much idling back when that was a thing. The top game I can be sure about is Europa Universalis 4 at 185 hours.

Oh. Good.
Tried one of Charlie's missions and it smelled a lot like horde mode.
Noped the hell out of there.

Picked up Risk of Rain because it was on sale through Humble Bundle for a cool $4.99.

Gotta say its pretty fun. Haven't tried out anything but the single player stuff by I'm getting there. And man does it feel like I'm the last one of my friends to get this game as well. I swear the rest of them have it.

I'm so so glad they got rid of that grey filter, as it ruined the aesthetic of Conviction. So far, so good with this entry but I'm already missing that gruff Michael Ironside voice and his excellent quips.

I suggest that people get Cho Dengeki Stryker whenever they can. It's probably the best Visual Novel on Steam right now. Fully voiced, great art, long yet not boring, decent writing, decent pacing. This would be a great first visual novel for people. Especially for those not looking for a dating sim type deal.

On Steam my game with the most hours is Binding of Isaac at 187 hours, but probably half of that is my girlfriend using my account before she got her own. My number two most played is an MMO sad to say, City of Steam, right at 100 hours. I'm sure a lot of that is idle time though. The two Borderlands games are next, at 84 and 80 hours (and yet I'm not particularly excited for the new one), followed by Pinball FX2 at 72 hours. I have 34 games on my account with roughly 20 hours or more and 63 games with 10 hours or more.

My by far most played game was WoW, I have multiple characters with over 100 days played (there was one summer where I averaged over 12 hours played per day). But I'm three years clean now!

Hitman: Absolution is my 6th most played game, and I fucking hate that piece of shit.

I had to stop as some other things came up, but I am in the process of beating your scores in Absolution. So eventually your suffering will come to naught.

I forgot about my other complaint.

Don't get me wrong... the voice acting is executed decently. But it's just such a bad casting. Sam's older, but he sounds younger? And he looks greyer, but his face and body look more spry? And his sense of humor went where in this transition?

The deadly serious "24" take is a bit of a miss, but not as bad of a miss as the voice mismatch.

It's really not worth the effort or stress.

Tell me about it :p

I only did the tutorial one and even that was a chore thanks to the shit platforming physics.

Sanctum was super easy and kind of cool though. But I couldn't get "(See?) I've got this" to pop up. Gotta get as much $$$ as possible for Shadow of Mordor.

I'm in total agreement there. The game itself is really good, and they've made positive changes to the formula after Conviction, but it's also lost a lot of charm.

Edit: Eric Johnson(looked up his name) is too bland, sorry to say.

I keep eyeing up Final Fantasy XIII since I'm kiiinda intrigued to buy it. It's been a while since my last FF game. But something tells me it's gonna be a terrible port so I'm gonna wait. It doesn't even have proper controller support :/

wishes it were bannable to say mean things about Marvel
so, what's y'alls most played game?

mine's ultra sfiv at 140 hours

On Steam, my most played game is Civ 5 at 197 hours. Skyrim is a far second at 150 hours.

NOW, off Steam, I have many games with much more time than even Civ 5:

WoW
PSO (Dreamcast)
MS Flight Simulator X
Diablo 2 & 3
Minecraft
Starcraft 1
Falcon 4.0
Master of Magic

Wut? That can't be right. Going to google...

Additional Notes: A game controller using Xinput is recommended for this game. (If using a DirectInput based controller, please use the driver side key configuration to adjust settings as required.)

The game has no reason not to have support, it's probably not fully updated on the store page.

Besides it's just over $12 at GMG right now, and just over $11 with their loyalty coupon if you got one emailed.
so, what's y'alls most played game?

mine's ultra sfiv at 140 hours

Mine's CS:GO at 983 hours.

It doesn't list controller support in the Steam store not even partial controller support which all the other FF games on Steam have (full or partial controller support). Instead this is written in the requirements:

Additional Notes: A game controller using Xinput is reccomended for this game. (If using a DirectInput based controller, please use the driver side key configuration to adjust settings as required )

So I guess it kinda supports it but you have to set it up yourself.

It took me 54 hours to get through the five stages of grief.

I also think I played a lot of it in offline mode, so it's probably closer to 70 hours.

It's okay, I've still got my beloved Blood Money.

Let's hope IO are correct when they said they are looking to Blood Money as inspiration for the new game. :p

This is providing some really great replies.

Fallout New Vegas (133)
Team Fortress 2 (130)
Civilization V (95)
XCOM Enemy Unknown (92)
Left 4 Dead 2 (74)
Dark Souls (48)

I spent the majority of last gen on consoles so it's definitely skewed toward activity in the past three years.

I still haven't beat Dark Souls, not even once. Game's hard yo :/

Xinput is standard(360 pad, XBOXONE pad, DS3/DS4 via emulation) so it'll be like every other game where it's setup from the start. DirectInput requires player tinkering, but that's par for the course.
