Well, I had a long weekend, but start my summer job again tomorrow. So I'll have too little time.
Strictly speaking, it'll happen eventually simply due to the fact that Summer Sale cards will no longer drop after the Summer Sale is over, but due to the sheer quantity, you'll be waiting a very long time for any notable increases to occur.

When going to download it there are tickboxes for the main game a 'beta', whats the deal? Download both?

Nah, just the main game. The beta is a beta for updates and stuff.
They already have one. It's called Steam.

I need a way to spoof game activity on Steam 'cause I'm not liking the prospect of 50+ GBs of downloads to grab a couple bucks worth of cards.
BL2 Season Pass is really the only Season Pass I can think of that did it right.

That's what I've been doing, I'm just saying that it's more work than just opening a launcher and going back to GAF (e.g. turning down the sound is an extra step in idling).

I don't think it's available anywhere anymore. Even GOG had it removed.

It isn't. I think it was on GOG til New Year's Day, though.
That game has been removed from all DD services a few months back.
Man that game was so good, I loved the comic pane zoom-in when you threw a knife at someone, along with the text effects and everything.

First one is completely unnecessary to the experience, they even give you a brief summary of the important bits of the first in the opening cutscene of 2.

But, it isn't that hard to catch up. Just playing SS2 is fine, you will work it all out near the start.
