So the games that got cards can be unlocked even after the sale is over, right???

The only cards that cant be unlocked are the summer sale ones?

Worst Steam sale ever?

Pretty much my first Steam sale ever, so considering I have nothing prior to judge it against - I'm certainly walking away pretty satisfied.

Here is my 1st Steam sale haul.

Metro: Last Light - $.01 (BB pricing error)
Hotline Miami - won in this thread
System Shock 2 - $2.49
Zombie Pirates - won in this thread
Deus Ex: HR - won in this thread
Infestation: SS - $3.64 (GF bought)
Chivalry: MW - $4.70 (part of 4 pack)
Penumbra Overture - $3.39
Thief II: TMA - $2.37

So I spent around $16.xx and came away with a pretty decent list of games IMO.

So is this the first sale since Steam introduced the community vote where games that didn't win the vote DIDN'T come back as a flash sale eventually? I feel like in past sales the community vote wasn't as big of a deal because it was just an additional chance for a game to get an extra discount, not the ONLY chance for a game to get an extra discount.

So far it looks like Recettear and Kentucky Route Zero at least will meet that fate, unless something crazy/beautiful happens in the next two flash sales.

Edit: Beaten.

To buy, or not to buy Knife of Dunwall for Dishonored; I've yet to play but I doubt the DLC will be cheaper.

I got it this sale and it reminded me of how amazing the game was.

I feel like such a fucking badass. The movement is so smooth and the game is so fun. Don't forget the amazing atmosphere.

I like how FM2013 is the only of the featured games not currently on sale. Obviously, it had to be the one I'd have second thoughts about not getting.

Looks like I'm sold... good thing I had $4 spare in my Steam Wallet from Card sales.

Bought.

How is just vanilla Borderlands 2? Maybe it's silly, but I'd probably buy it that price if I wasn't missing out on all the other DLC that I'm not willing to spend 20+ dollars on, but seeing all that extra content leaves me not even interested in just the base game.

Nice, you actually got one of those Metro codes. They let me hang on the edge for almost four days before they finally canceled my order.

Also, very nice System Shock 2 and most of all, Thief 2. Have fun with Thief 2, I hope it is your first time playing it, I wish I could go back and play it for the first time again too.

Really kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on XCOM. I really thought it would make the encore sale. You live and you learn I suppose, may just have to wait on it until the Winter sale.

Ok, my final haul:

Tomb Raider collection
Chivalry 4-pack
Sonic transformed 4-pack (bought in free weekend before sale) + DLC
FEZ
Bioshock infinite
Dark Souls (bought from Gamergate week before sale)
Civ V gold edition
Just Cause 1 (price error)
Fallout collection (price error)
Surgeon Simulator 2013
Fallout NV ultimate edition
Sleeping Dogs story DLCs

and some games I gave away as gifts.

I cant believe the fighting games or sports games didnt get cards during the sale. NBA 2k13 seemed like an obvious choice, same with Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Maybe if cards continue to be popular they will add them.
