The goal here is to find games that are available on the Steam Sale that are either the cheapest or just as cheap as they've ever been, not daily deals or flash sales or whatever, just games hidden in the corners of Steam sales that may have been overlooked.

To qualify, three things:
1.) Cheapest ever been or cheaper.
2.) Steam Summer Sale 2014 sales that are not daily deals/flash sales/community votes.
3.) Not been in more than two bundles at most, or bundled going on during the sale (few exceptions may get by if they're literally dirt cheap)

The list in the OP updates, so make sure to check back~

I'll be posting USD prices, but should be discounted in all regions for most games. Also do not take this list as a 'best of' list, if you're curious about the quality of a game (no matter how affordable it is), feel free to ask here.

SOME OF THESE MAY END UP BEING FURTHER DISCOUNTED DEALS, so be wise. The best option is to always spurge on the final day of the sale (which will be the 29th for regular discounted games).

Keep in mind that some of these games could end up being flash or daily deals, so if you go ahead and buy them now, you will possibly miss out on better prices as early as later today.

well, thanks for taking the load off my back but I really think this thread works better as a last day thread.

people could get caught up spending money on cheap games just cause they're cheap and then a daily they really want comes around and they're a few bucks short

a lot of these can end up being dailies, too.

Hammerfight is a lot of fun, and it's currently -75% off, or USD$1.24. It's an arena-based fighting game where you pilot a flying machine and control everything with your mouse. It has a surprisingly lengthy campaign and lots of unlockables. It's cool.

Tales of Maj'Eyal is -50% off, or USD$3.49 (potential for a better price later in the sale), and although it is actually a freeware game, I would definitely say it's worth buying. Very cool roguelike; it makes me think of, say, Diablo, if it were translated into that genre.

Expeditions: Conquistador is -66% off, or USD$6.79 (potential for a better price later in the sale). It's a turn-based RPG with neat roguelike elements like permadeath, highly recommended.

It's good you have One Way Heroics in the list already, I love that game!

Edit: One more: Toki Tori 2+ is -80% off, or USD$2.99. It is a clever, open-world, 2D platforming game with a surprisingly mindbending difficulty.

I highly recommend buying the PC version of The Last Remnant. It is significantly better than the 360 version.

However, keep these things in mind:

- The game picks 360 controller icons by default. I believe the [ and ] buttons are used to change the page in the options menu. You can change the icons in one of the pages, I think either the 2nd or 3rd one.

- This PC Teaking page exists and should be read if you find anything that annoys you. The very low default FOV probably annoys me the most and thankfully there is a partial fix available on that page. Unfortunately, the fix makes menus and cutscenes look weird so they recommend a keyboard shortcut to switch between the custom and default FOV.

- Multiple language options are available. I highly recommend playing the game with Japanese voices and English subtitles since the English dub is awful.

A suggestion: Remove Insecticide from that list.

It's only half the game, and the other half was never released on PC. It's literally cut in half.
And even if had been complete, it really really isn't a good game.
And it's not bad in a funny way, like Bad Rats. It's just bad.
