Welp Gabe finally got me with Alan Wake. I thought I was smart just buying American Nightmare when it was a flash sale but now I really want to play the original game again.
I should have just bought the complete collection but more money for Remedy now I suppose. I kinda wish the collector's stuff wasn't a separate thing though since I didn't seem to get it.

Sorry it's just that he asked a non-question, I mean I can't recall any harsh criticisms of it that you can't fix with a yellow filter removal mod.
My only gripe is that I can't shoot coffee mugs and things off desks, everything is super glued down.
Great game man, and yea just get Missing Link.
My recommendation too. Those EA games are all designed to appeal to casual racing fans. And yet Shift 2 is more hardcore in design (despite failing miserably as a hardcore racing game). So if you want something approachable, go with Driver. Shift 2 is a game without direction.

Pretend you're playing Gothic 4 but it's not called Arcania and it doesn't stink.
Pretend you're playing Two Worlds 1 version 2.0 where thematically it isn't absurd and the mechanics are a little better.

I personally like Shift 2 better though. Shift one has a horribly aggressive AI in my opinion.

The only good game by Piranha Bytes is still Gothic 2.
2 had wonky handling on all cars unless you tweaked the shit out of controls and cars. But that was a long time ago and on ps3. Not sure if patched or if the PC version is different. Shift 1 was solid though.
Shift 1 is very good, Just bought the 2nd one, so gonna give it a spin.
Try the first one and see how it goes, it's in the same category as GT/Forza
IMO 1 is better than 2.
GAF convinced me to just get farcry 1.

It was a good game, but not good enough to kick yourself with regret. It'll probably get a recap or flash, though.
It's not really that great. Similar enemies, shit story, boring minigames, shitty texture design that's great at a distance, but then it shoves you in corridors all the time showcasing why megatextures are garbage, so-so guns, pretends a little to be open world when it's not at all, horrible godawful ending.
Already did. ha. So the RACE games are not a good offline racer? The one that includes all of the the DLC, etc, is 50% off.

Double cheeseburgers are $1 in America. Alan Wake costs 7 1/2 double cheeseburgers. I've already spent too many double cheeseburgers on this sale, so 7 1/2 is too much.

If you are hardcore for simulation racers stick with those. The Shift games are a bit too arcady imo, you slide in every corner with every car.
