Gonna mix things up a little this time, I will be giving away two of the games depicted in the banner, one per category.

Rules/Gist of things *please read it is important

- There will be several ways to enter, you can either draw a picture (one catagory), do a dramatic reading or write a fanfiction (the ladder two being grouped together).

- The theme for the artwork will be pin-ups of your favorite video game characters. Hint: Mine is Mistral from Metal Gear. ;) That or you can be creative and draw propaganda for the various teams of the Steam Sale.

- Yes, I am trying to get you to draw porn for me!

- But seriously if you do go for pin-ups, try to keep it appropriate for this site.

- As for the second category the only requirement is that the fan fictions need to be at least 500 words long, aside from that be creative as you want.

- Like last time please PM me when you post you submission, so I don't miss any. Apologizes for any that I missed last time.

- The deadline is until when ever the timer at the bottom of this post runs out.

- My sister will judge the artwork, while some other guy I know on Steam will judge the fanfics/dramatic readings.

- Sister might live stream the selection for the drawings here, though she's not sure yet.

- Will post who won sometime after the deadline and will gift you your prize through Steam.

EDIT: Also Vulcano's Assistant is banned from this giveaway cause he won last time, though you can still draw a pin up for me if you want. ;P

Also thanks to Chariot with some of the ideas!

Decided to do the fanfiction one.

Batman leaned against the door, hoping to pick up any noises from the other side. The white lacquer door was shined to a glossy, almost reflective level, reminding Batman of a hospital quality he wasn't particularly fond of. Hospitals are generally never good and he's made a habit of avoiding them - how did you get that wound, Mr. Wayne, why do you have six broken ribs, why does this look like a field medic patched it, too many questions. He was not used to being under the microscope and, perhaps ironically, definitely did not like being in the spotlight.

Batman sighed. He wasn't used to the idea of peering eyes, but knew this was for the best. His gloved hand pressed down on the door handle and he pushed the white door open, walking through quickly and keeping his head down as he walked forward to the counter, his cape flowing behind his brisk, willful stride. His boots made the floor creak and squeak with every step, unsurprising given his build and weight, but embarrassing all the same. "Hello," he began to the woman at the counter.

"Oh, hi, we've been waiting for you," the woman said with a decidedly Jersey Shore-accent, but with an air about her that would not put her out of place in a World War II period piece. She cleared her throat, clearly a little intimidated by rubber-armored knight in front of her, but he was not the first superhero she had seen come through her check-in line. "Is this your first time here?" she asked the caped crusader.

"Yes, well, no," Batman found himself oddly unnerved by the question. "Technically no, but mine is a prequel, and technically I'm not the same Batman voice, and critically I--" Batman stopped himself before he said the word technically again.

"Sweetie, I understand." The woman leaned in a bit, calling Batman closer to her whisper. "Lara Croft was in here yesterday and that poor girl was so confused. And lord, the time I had with those Final Fantasy people today." She quickly flips through some papers and hands Batman one with a small icon on it. "You're 75% off today, that's impressive! Now, you stay here in this room for 24 hours, then tomorrow you move in to the room next door for another 24."

Batman peeked at the room the woman mentioned through the window. Sam Fisher and a ghost stood together smoking in a corner while two children played with the giant electronic device on an older man's arm, poking the radiation-green display with simultaneous curiosity and amusement. It did not seem entirely unpleasant, though Batman was not always big on socializing. He took his identification page from the counter and sat down in a corner chair, leaning against the wall as he observed the room.

Directly in front of him, a young girl darted from person to person, asking whose dream she was in and then introducing herself as Aurora. The man clad in armor befitting a demon paid her no mind and seemed to be on the edge of his annoyance as she rhymed questions in front of him. Sensing an inevitable incident, a young woman approached Aurora and put a hand on her shoulder.

“Hey, did you know I’m a princess, too?” she said to the young girl, her right hand resting on Aurora’s shoulder with a thimble capping the end of her missing pinky. Aurora’s eyes widened in response to this princess revelation, shocked to find a kindred soul in this room of ruffians and silent-types. The young woman noticed Aurora’s fascination and continued. “I was locked in a tower by this mean bird and a mean old man, then a knight came and rescued me.”

Aurora interjected, “Why didn’t you rescue yourself?”

The young woman paused. “You know, why didn’t I?” She sat back down in her chair with a quizzical look on her face. Aurora, for her part, was bored by this conversational turn and spun around to face tiny astronauts, whom she quickly fell in love with and swore her everlasting loyalty to as long as they become her pets.

Two men on either side of the room stared each other down from their chairs, their eyes flitting between eye contact with each other and the conspicuous package on the counter at the front of the room. One of the men, wearing sunglasses and a red-checkered bandana, tapped his fingers impatiently on his knee, while the other, clearly a SWAT enforcer, seemed ready to bolt out of his chair at an instant toward the counter.

Batman leaned over to the Russian soldier seated next to him and tapped his arm to get his attention. “What’s with the jumpy ones?” Batman asked, hoping to pass the time with a little conversation. Gossip was never a common practice for the Waynes, being the victims of it more often than the purveyors, but Batman considered it a useful tool for intelligence-gathering.

The Russian soldier struggled to pull English words out of his mouth, trying to recall childhood lessons from the American boarder that stayed in his house. “They were…how do you say, in trouble from woman.”

Batman nodded to confirm the translation was fine.

“They want…what is English word for boom-time explosion thing?” the Russian soldier asked.

Batman’s eyes widened. “They were allowed to bring a bomb in here?”

“Da, da, bomb. Boom!” the soldier said. “Bandana come in, put down the bomb, and 20 second later, armor come in and defuse it! Then woman at counter took it away after argument.” The soldier seemed pleased with his explanation, then returned to reading the comic book that had been preoccupying him before Batman interrupted.

Batman sighed and slumped down in his chair. Bombs, princesses, astronauts…this is going to be a long 24 hours.

I neeeeeed to play it though. Thief 2 is my favorite game, and I need to witness this trainwreck for myself.

Our taste's in video games are similar, The Dark Project is one of mine, I guess it's pretty close.

Anyway, the problem with Thief is that it's a soulless carcass of a game, unfinished and neglected in every single way. It's just terrible. The only reason I'm not having Valve delete my entire account so I can start clean is for the +1 next to the other 3.

We've updated the Steam Community Market with some more changes:
All Steam Trading Cards, Emoticons, Booster Packs, and Profile Backgrounds now appear as commodities, with it's easier method of purchasing and improved data display.
There is now a 'recent activity' display for these items, which shows buy & sell activity that has occurred in the last few seconds. Only a sample of the activity it shown, and only users who have their community profile set to public are shown.
There is a Buy & Sell Order graph (added yesterday) at the bottom of the page for commodity items, that expands on the data shown under the 'buy' and 'sell' buttons higher on the page.

Vazra

irresponsible vagina leak
Anyone here play PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures? Thoughts?

The little bit I managed to play was decent. I had a glitch when I started it on 1080p but switching resolution closing game opening and switching back to 1080p fixed the issue. Its nothing groundbreaking but it is entertaining for the price.

Holy fuck. There's £112.01 worth of Sims 3 DLC on Steam, and that's AFTER a 66% discount. I mean, I knew it was bad, but holy fuck.

Hey guys. Just bought Fallout 3. Already played and got all the achievements on PS3 and liked it, but now that I have it on PC I want to mod it.

What's a mod that would furthest change the gameplay/game from what I had on PS3?

Yeah, that's what everyone says about it.

I remember being really excited the day they announced that monstrosity...

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
What's the trick to avoiding getting poisoned by the high levels sticking together in a clan? That's what pushed me away. Gets them millions of points, meanwhile I have to do back-flips off towers to get that much. Bah.

I think without keeping clans in the same team it might have worked, but no thanks the way it is now.

Stay out of the middle. Stay near a wall/corner. Outsmart their thinking. They're either using the line of sight indicator to find you (possible) or using sound (a little trickier) to find you. Generally though, they'll go for the middle of the crowd since Ubisoft hasn't fixed the "going toward the center of a crowd walking" issue with moving crowds and so you're better with stationaries.

But again: Most of these dudes have put in various amounts of time. Poison isn't really the issue: The issue is you're going against higher time-players. It's similar to going into Battlefield/Call of Duty and expecting to do well against level 50/Prestige 10 max levels that have put in 800+ hours on the maps. That's simply not possible to go toe-to-toe with, but it's possible to out-smart them in certain ways.

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Yes. Publishers have put a RU-specific game on pre-order with no restrictions and before the game coming out flipped on the region locking.

I think people raged and eventually the region lock flag was turned back off. JaseC was affected by it, I think.

Yeah, Ubi added onlyallowrunincountries to Black Flag's RU pre-order subs about a week after the game went up, but the situation was resolved in time for the pre-load.

Top file for a reason.

Literally changes the genre.

So matchmaking was the real issue?
I can see why it died as quick as it did now. And apparently it's so dead that even if I wanted to try again, I couldn't. Not great.

Ok Battleblock Theatre is pretty awesome, cheers nbnt. Is the MP dead though? I try to quick join and it says no games found despite 6500 concurrent users.

I hate you guys for recommending Splinter Cell Blacklist. Seriously, i hate you.

I just spent 45 minutes doing a mission at this dockside place in England where you have to hack 3 targets and not get seen. In my best Sam Fisher impression, i sailed through it, knocking guys out, hiding bodies, climbing up pipes and hacking routers.

As i'm approaching the last hack target i got caught by a CCTV camera and had to restart. I had taken out every guard and guard dog and brazenly thought i was finished. NOPE.

This game is going to be my love-hate relationship for the next week.
