Opinions of Hoard please? I was intrigued when I first saw it pop up on Steam but not enough to buy it.


Also, tempted to double-dip on Bioshock 1. I bought it from D2D a couple years ago for $5 but it's not on Steam. And my Bioshock 2 in Steam would look better with a companion. Why Gabe do you tempt me, why?

I've heard good things about Magicka, but I have to pass, it just doesn't appeal to me right now.

Steam can be a real pain in the ass at times, servers too busy for a 20mb download but I can update Killing Floor fine...

It didn't work on my laptop but worked fine on my desktop. I think it has problems with ATI graphics cards

Try the demo. I thought it was pretty fun and it has a ton of maps so I guess it's good to have around when bored. The demo tutorials more or less show you how everything works.

I had trouble running it at first, but after making some changes (I remember specifically keeping movies on though, because I didn't want to lose out on story elements) I was able to run the game with only the occasional hiccup. I can't remember exactly what I did, but I used that thread.

Bought Magicka DLC (Marshlands, Final Frontier, Survival Kit, Vietnam) and BFBC2. I'll barely be able to run BC2 on my MacBook, but I really wanted to try it out before I get BF3 on my 360.

Just started playing Magicka. Buggy and weird, but absolutely amazing.

If anyone needs help with the achievement, add me on Steam and we'll make a Versus game.

I ran into some FPS dips (mid 40s), but nothing game-crippling. Probably could have turned off MLAA and been rock steady. The game is a breath of fresh air compared to how Zelda has stagnated for basically a decade now. For $5 I really don't think you can go wrong.

If you have a gamepad (for the 2nd player), load up a local versus mode from the main menu, the achievements still works in it.

I've put about 40 into it. Sure it's no RE4 but the game is a blast, co-op or not. Though I get why people wouldn't want to drop $15 on it in the middle of a sale.

Any HOARD masters here? Got any tips to unlock the Fireth of July achievement? The HOARD mode is very difficult. I'm unable to survive more than 5 minutes.

I played and I had it before(long story), the problem is that I was unexpectedly out of money for an automatic payment to my debit card (paypal) and I can not put money until Monday which is when the banks opened here in Mexico

EDIT: No problem, a friend from here(NeoGaf is great) lend me money to put in the wallet of Steam and I will return it on Monday

Scored BFBC2, complete for $10.. sort of had buyer's remorse that I bought Vietnam and the SPECACT.. but been meaning to pick this up for a long time.

Hoping Metro2033 for $5 (played 360, want to replay on PC) and Frozen Synapse for less than $10.. I didn't need the 2 copies.. wish my friends played PC, but alas all console gamers.

Also a Divinity II deal has to be coming.. I can wait... I feel a $15 price point.

..btw had to do the Jolly Rover achievement twice before it actually unlocked.. strange.

Complete Hell (that's world four) Both Light and Dark with a combine time of under 495 seconds.

You have to beat all light and dark world levels in Ch. 4 (Hell) with a total time under 495 seconds. So, faster than getting A+ on all levels.

This is probably the time to buy SMB, but it looks hard as FUCK in the video. That shit is supposed to sell me on the game, and it looks hardcore as hell. Not sure I have the thumbs for that kind of platforming anymore. But I will grab Plants and Zombies and the Magicka complete pack, those games looks awesome.

I'll do this one during the sales, I can't take getting A+ on dark world in one day. My right thumb hurts like a bitch.
