It's not so much lag as it is shit coding/scripting. It's why the PC version doesn't get higher marks from me, which is saying a lot because I do enjoy the game design. I really hope they sort it out for their next game, as they clearly have no intention of repairing SMB on the PC.
That might explain why the game looks smoother in my neighbor's xbox. The random exploding is mighty annoying.

Wow, that SMB achievement is completely messed up. I don't condone or appreciate people messing with game files to cheat the system (and break the leaderboards in the process), but I certainly understand the temptation in this case. Fucking sadists, I tells ya.

My head exploded when i saw that Sanctuary stuff, what where they thinking!!!

Just so you know, the reviewer is either actually retarded or using massive hyperbole.

The sanctuary is different, but doesn't do much to the game at all. The melee is not useless, you just have to charge for .2 seconds to break an enemy's block. It also doesn't help that he's fighting the ninja enemies that constantly block (id est, meant to be ranged or maged).

I'm only on reason #7, but he basically just seems to be butthurt. He also doesn't mention it, but he sure as hell seems to have 100%ed the game.

Ok, this is insane, I can't keep playing 5 different single-player campaigns at once, I'm starting to not know where that character comes from.

I'll finish Beyond Good and Evil HD (bought on the PSN before the sale), then move to Oblivion, then, 10 years later I believe, after I finish Oblivion, on to Might and Magic 5, then Darksiders, then Bioshock 2, then in whatever order I buy them.

This is madness.

You need to learn how to play games.

No simultaneous-turn mode in Heroes V = kinda regret buying :(

bought it mainly for the MP, and waiting for the other player to do everything while you cant do absolutely nothing at the same time is terrible. Too bad.

Is there any Magicka DLC that I should skip?

If you're having trouble shaving off seconds, try the Boris level and use a character that can double jump so you don't even need to use the moving platform. It can shave off 10 seconds rather easily.

It is probably fruitless since here says entries like that will be disqualified.

Its easy if you played the game enough to get good at it.

As i said i got 475 seconds without realizing, when the achievement asks for 495 seconds or less.

Made a .txt file so i don't forget what i bought, though i've also set a category on steam titled "2011 Summer Sale Purchases"

Steam Summer 2011 Purchases:
Lead & Gold - £1.05
Magicka - £2.71
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - £5.00
Plants vs Zombies - £2.37
Bioshock 2 - £3.49
Why not just use Steam?

You can look at your transactions.

I've been good so far, bought very little. CS:S, Garry's Mod, Dreamfall, Longest Journey, the Path and Eversion, £11.03. I can't see me breaking £25 over the whole thing.

Do as I do, brothers, don't give a damn about the tickets. I'm actually glad Valve has burned me out by the way they handled the previous "raffles." If you really want X amount of trinkets, go for it. But don't waste your time just so you can win your wishlist. Odds are huge you won't win no matter what you do. Tell the Super Meat Boy ticket to go suck a dick. I can't even be bothered to load up TF2 and get the fire achievement.

So I just bought Bioshock 1 and 2 for $4.99 each.

I've never played either.

I loved System Shock 2.

Would you say I'm going to be in quote "Rapture" unquote?

Maybe. Lots of people certainly love the series. But honestly, if you're looking for something that comes closer to System Shock, buy the Dead Space games if they go on sale. Much closer in spirit and just phenomenal games (or at least the first. Waiting for the second to go on sale before I buy).

I haven't really dug into Bioshock 2 myself (I bought it during one of the last two Steam sales and it has pretty much rotted in my library since), but Bioshock is a really cool game. It definitely has similarities with SS2 but the character building element is simplified. I do think they did a better job with the setpieces and especially the soundtrack, though. The soundtrack is amazing.

So torn. I want Magicka, I don't want to deal with DLC garbage, but I also want to have people to play with. I wish there was a 4-pack for the complete magicka version :S I'll probably buy it by the end of the night but i'm not sure if i'll get the base 4pack or complete for just myself

Damn you get to play both fresh, thats pretty sweet. They are awesome, especially if you liked system shock. Surprised you havent played them already.

Same, if it included at least the Vietnam DLC I'd bite but on it's own, fuck that.

EDIT: Wait, the complete pack is on sale for a great price too. Hmmm... dunno if I'd have anyone to play with though.

I didn't have a quality PC for a long time.

I've played the first half hour or so of Bioshock on the 360.

Glad I got the game on sale, steam time says I beat Medal of Honor in 3 and a half hours, holy crap thats a record for short FPS campaigns I think. Well guess I will see if the MP will give me a couple more hours out of my 10 bucks

At least it's a game. All the other prizes are worthless DLC to me. I won't be busting my ass getting more tickets, that's for sure.

Only 1 person needs the magicka dlc for everyone in your game to play it IIRC.

It's not even just the cheap price of 4packs that are attractive. Unless something has changed it's a royal pain in the ass to purchase 4 individual copies and checkout for each one individually. I'll probably just wait until the Christmas sale for Magicka. I won't really have family members to play with me until our usual Christmas LAN. I've already hooked some family members into TF2 so that'll do for now.

Steam is also saying I've only played SpaceChem for 8 hours when in reality it is nearly twice that.

So im tempted by the TellTale complete pack for 50$. I dont own any of their games and i love adventure games.

Im also looking into the Pendulo Adventure Pack for 34$. It has the runaway games and The Next Big Thing. They kinda look like animated movies but im not sure how much gameplay they actually have.

Either way i am big on indie games and adventure games for this sale.

Personally I felt like Dead Space 2 lost some of the subtlety and nuance of the first that made it so comparable to SS2. DS2 is still a good game but it's not the same for me. Similar to the difference between Terminator 1 and 2 where the sequel is more invested in explosions and action sequences than setting a generally creepy atmosphere.

Hell Yeah. Bioshock 1 and 2 are my favorite singleplayer FPS of all time. They are both just so good. Really fun gameplay that can really vary via the plasmids you use. Good story and unparalleled atmosphere/setting.

The only problem I had was that I could use a controller for Bio 1 but I had to switch to KB/M for Bio 2. Not sure why they took out controller support for the sequel. You are in for a ride though.

I've only gotten to play HL2 on Xbox1. I just bought HL2, Ep1 and 2 for $6 total lol. I had $3 in my wallet, so it was an additional $3 out of my bank account. Seems like an ok deal.
