Great sales for me today, I picked up:

Darksiders
Magicka (just all DLC
Hoard (bought a four-pack to hook some buddies)

The only other things I'd like to get are Jamestown, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, VtM: Bloodlines, and the Beat Hazard DLC/expansion.

I cannot believe how much money is being wasted here on these games when I'm sure most of these users have cheap, $2.50 titles on their wishlist.

Tempted to get Darksiders again since I never finished the console version. But I just hate the voice actor for the lead character so goddamn much. I hate him in every game he does a voice for.

Well, I'm pretty happy with the stuff I bought so far.

I tried the Recettear demo before buying it, and the dungeon stuff is really addictive. Then there's Borderlands (thanks, azentium!) which is unexpectedly awesome. I love the visual style and the gameplay is really solid and fun. KOTOR seems good so far, but I "only" played it for two hours, which is not much for an RPG. I expect it to be great, though. And it doesn't look as bad as I expected it to! I'm sure Darksiders is pretty good too; I'll try it tomorrow.

Hoping for Amnesia and Mass Effect Pack daily deals now. But, at the same time, I kinda wish the daily deals don't interest me, so I don't end up spending more money... Damn you Steam.

times like this i wished they were some horse riding game on steam, that isn't petz 2

something like that amazing mary kate and ashley horse riding game for ps2, that was the SHIT

How do i play the Magicka Vietnam dlc? I see a flashing dlc button but i cant press it. I cant seem to find a menu option anywhere.

Ouch, caved in and got BC2 even though I had spent 500+ hours on the PS3 version already. Was too good of a bargain to miss out though! Will grab Magicka tomorrow too, hopefully the game isn't too bugged anymore...

Trying to limit the damage but not going too well, especially that I just got F3AR aswell T______T

Can someone here confirm if Battlefield 2 has a fun and cool Campaign? as far as Military First person shooters go, is it good times or meh? be honest GAF, I know it's only five bucks but...

Air. Wind. Sun. Pain. I Am All of This, and Your Mom Makes a Fine Pasta Dinner - Complete the Summer Sun level from the main menu with full points

Okay, my tip for AaaaaAaaaaAaaa's summer time achievement is to NOT try and do a perfect run. That will in all likelihood leave you 1000-2000 points shy of the 5-Star score. If you have to, do a faceplant into a surface so you can rewind to a checkpoint for EVERY high score panel. You lose 250 points per faceplant, but if that nets you two 2000 point panels, that's 250 points lost for a good cause. Hugs and Kisses at high velocity on a perfect or near perfect run will always leave you short. Go for the panels.

Battlefield 2 has no campaign at all. If you're thinking of Bad Company 2 then it does have a campaign but it's completely awful. If you aren't getting it for the fantastic multiplayer mode then don't get it.

Battlefield 2 does not have a campaign, it's a great multi-player shooter though.

Bad Company 2 has a campaign, if that's what you're asking about. I played through it on PS3, it's fun. Nothing amazing, but where the game really shines is (again) it's multiplayer.

Completely awful isnt really accurate. I mean its a military campaign. Its basically call of duty without the production values. The campaign has its moments.

The wait on Bad Company 2 is killing me. Spent half the day downloading it and now I've been staring at an install screen for the past 20 minutes.

Man, today reminded me why I stopped playing Super Meat Boy. Terrible glitches and lag everywhere.

Now the glitch that killed, it doesn't but when I go through it I can't jump. What the hell?

? I just beat the first four worlds and A+'d all of them (for the second time) on PC and I have never experienced any of this. Could it be your hardware?

Punkbuster will do that to you. I eventually just canceled the install and re-tried, worked way faster.

Punkbuster is probably hiding beneath all your windows. Minimize everything, and you should see it.

It sucks big time.

Every CoD campaign is better than it and the new MoH is too.

EDIT: Oops I thought this was talking about BC2 :p

SON OF A BITCH

And I just accidentally quit it trying to get to the window. Is it going to reinstall when I try to join a server? I have a feeling I'll need it for the majority of servers.

If it is my hardware, then why so many people have this problem? Clipping walls, random deaths, platforms sometime move a little faster or slower than they should, etc.

At least that's what SPUF tells me, since there are quite a few people with the same problems. Also acknowledged by Team Meat.

i never had any lag issues, etc, with Meat Boy either ...not saying that they don't exist tho for some people.

my issue was that i just didn't really care for the game. found it kinda boring and definitely not worth the trouble that it takes to complete many of the stages.

incredibly overrated, imo ...but i only paid $2.50, so no big deal.

Well, have you tried any of the solutions in that thread? They all seem to be indicative of either below-par hardware or problems with certain video cards.

It's not. It has to do with how they script moving objects and other level props. I had problems with the game for being well over spec, and it's easy to manipulate the game engine by artificially throttling system elements. In fact I wasn't really aware of what was going on until I reached a particular level and it couldn't be completed because things were running too fast. It was a lot easier to design around that flaw on the 360 because they only had one spec to work around.

Bolded was your problem. Sounds like you expected some reward for finishing the hard stages. The reward is actually the satisfaction in knowing you have the skill to finish the stages.

yeah, after a while i got bored and the stages got progressively more annoying and i felt the pay off wasn't worth the trouble.

my backlog of games is way too big to be wasting time on Meat Boy. :p

Yeah, that's why I said below-spec or hardware with flawed compatibility. Like you said though, that's where console development really shines.
