Did they get rid of the crazy DRM on Assassin's Creed PC games?

I'm somewhat interested in Brotherhood, but if there's DRM I'd rather get it on PS3.
I think they drastically reduced it to an internet check on start up.

You need to be on the internet only to login. You don't need a constant internet connection to play the game. It's no big deal.

Better than the first 2 gameplay wise? I'd like to play some old school 2D game, so Reloaded (1+2) strikes my fancy more.

I haven't tried 3 yet but I like the first tropico a lot. Reminiscent in some ways of the late great Impressions series.

Haven't played the first 2. :(
Looks about the same with more stuff. Seeing the trailer from Tropico 4 also seem about the same as Tropico 3 but with more stuff.

It's extremely similar to 1, but it adds some really fun scenarios, far superior transportation mechanics and adds a number of new buildings.

Public Service Announcement: Don't buy The Polynomial, the gameplay is really bad. But it's fun to look at.

Seconded.

If anyone is going to buy a 360 wired gamepad, don't buy it from Gamestop. They sell their own shitty inferior version, get the official one from Microsoft at any other store or Amazon.

As far as Dragon Age II goes, I also think that waiting for an ultimate edition will be the best choice anyway. I hate how you can't get the DLC Content Packs through Steam. I bought the original Dragon Age and then the expansion, but if I ever want to get some of the extra quests, I'd either have to buy the ultimate edition, which is a bit redundant or buy them through EA - which would cost more than just buying the damn Ultimate Edition. Don't want the same thing happening with Dragon Age II.

You can actually play in offline mode. You just don't get access to the online content, like multiplayer and Uplay.

I wish they would have retroactively done that for AC2, but luckily I didn't run into any problems during my playthrough.

Hmm, that doesn't sound too bad. Is there software I need to install for it? Or do I have to make an Ubisoft account?

Brotherhood only requires you to be online to play MP. It has a launcher that lets you choose an Offline mode so you can play the SP.

Thinking about AC2 though I already own it on the 360 and haven't played it. I have a great graphics card so it's pretty tempting.

Can't decide on TWII, leaning towards no on this one even though the graphics look amazing.

All the games worth having I already have. Strike out for a second day. I was hoping for more indie darlings, and Morrowind since I can't find my CDs.

I think I have too many games, not seeing too much I want so far this sale :(

Day 1 - TDU2 £4.99, Bit Trip Beat £1.75
Day 2 - Just Cause 2 DLC £0.54
Day 3 - Nothing
Day 4 - Considering Two Worlds II, but need more impressions

Total: Just £7.28 so far.

download Motionjoy, emulate 360 controller, enjoy.

I just did this especifically for Super Meat Boy (works great with a PS3 controller), but I found out that in Dead Rising 2 it just won't work. It is set to only work with official Xbox controllers.

I have read that some people got it to work, but I've found nothing. The left and right triggers (pretty important to shoot) plain don't work.

If anyone has gotten Dead Rising 2 to work with a PS3 controller I'd be happy to hear from you.

Mmm, do I get Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate?

I feel like it's something I need to experience to keep my WRPG gamer cred and $10.20 is a pretty good price, but I just bought Oblivion the other day and I don't know if I'll have time for both.

Halp!

And Torchlight is a must get at $3 if you don't already own it. I picked it up for $5 from a Christmas Sale a couple years ago. Definitely worth that much even if you don't put much time into it.

Jesus christ, getting BioShock 2 to even launch was a massive faff on. Not had a problem like that with a PC game for years...

I had the same problem. I believe that for some reason, PS3 pads running through MotioninJoy are recognized as wireless 360 pads, and DR2 doesn't work with wireless 360 pads. Your only option is to use a program like Xpadder or Joy2Key to emulate KB/M controls with your PS3 pad.

MotioninJoy has a setting to emulate a 360 controller. I haven't tried it with Dead Rising 2 specifically, but it's worked for every other game for me personally.

It even shows up as an Xbox 360 Controller in the Control Panel option for Controllers.

Edit: Hmm, reading a few posts above, I guess not =/

btw, I just got here, so maybe I missed some torchlight discussion, but... ehrm... is it Diablo?

Yes, its Diablo and its great fun. It only has the problem that the level layouts are too similar, since they arent big areas but only a neverending dungeon with some asset swaps. Its fun though, but not quite Diablo2.

Tropico 3's soundtrack is worth the price of admission on its own. It does a great job of enhancing the setting.

Pretty much. But you have a dog/cat.

I don't think it's as good as Diablo but it's certainly more refined. Sending the pet to vendor stuff was a godsend. Also a group stash for all your characters.

If you're looking for a game, dont buy it. If you're looking for something like Audiosurf or Beat Hazard, dont buy it. If you want to get high and look at pretty lights and listen to techno music, then its worth your money in my opinion.
