Still patiently waiting for Fallout 3. My gut tells me it will show up towards the end.

edit: Oh yeah, and Assassin's Creed 2 is incredible in case anyone was wondering.

Hmm. What's the general consensus on Assassin's Creed 2? I tried AC1, but I didn't find it very fun, couldn't even finish the game on the 360, got boring quick. Is it more of the same?
The second one doesn't suffer from the repetition of the same mission that the first game did, if you enjoyed the gameplay mechanics and the level of detail in the world then AC 2 is worth picking up.

AC1 is poor, but AC2 is one of the best games Ubisoft has released in years. Way more refined and playable, more interesting locales, it's drop dead gorgeous... worth it even full-price, never mind on sale.

Its still the same game with similar (even though refined) mechanics.

I am not saying whether thats good or bad, but if someone found the first one boring, he probably wont enjoy the second too much.

Way the hell better. AC was a glorified tech demo. AC2 turned that into an actual game. Probably my personal game of the year that year.

Verdict on Dragon Age: Origins? IIRC people praised the hell out of it, but the sequel fell flat? It looks really cool and $10 isn't bad.

AC2 shits on AC1. It is possibly one of the best games this gen. Ezio is 100x more interesting than Altair. The missions actually have variety. The lead up to assassinations is not the same thing each time. The writing is improved. The gameplay refines AC1's mechanics. Everything in general is better than AC1.

You would be doing yourself a disservice in not playing AC2.

MotioninJoy has a setting to emulate a 360 controller. I haven't tried it with Dead Rising 2 specifically, but it's worked for every other game for me personally.

It even shows up as an Xbox 360 Controller in the Control Panel option for Controllers.

Edit: Hmm, reading a few posts above, I guess not =/

I mean, it works. Just not the triggers. So in the end, not really playable. I might have to go and get an Xbox 360 controller after all. At least MotionJoy works with 99% of the games I've tried. Just that damn Dear Rising 2 won't cooperate.

It's definitely worth $10. The Dragon Age universe is generic as it gets, but it's packed with content, deep and the KB/M controls are lovely. Plus, there is some legitimately funny dialog choices if you're playing as a dick.

It was a bug that Capcom never bothered to fix. It's annoying since I'd love to replay the game but it's one of a few games that I just don't like on KB/M. All my pad does is open up the stupid GFWL menu, which is most likely the cause of the problem in the first place.

All transformers fans should get Transformers: War for Cybertron. Remember it mimics the cartoons rather than the movie. Great game with good graphics.
Oh, I already bought the game because of the co-op features but this just makes it all the better.

Tempted by Men of War, Two Worlds 2 and Operation Arrowhead. I think today will be the most expensive sale day so far.

Probably one of the best AAA RPG's in the last few years. And yeah, ignore the second one.

Oh, DA:OU is on sale, and at the 10$ price I wanted. Consider it bought!

Second, Irongrip ticket. I played two games, and purchased everything, but no luck. guess is that I need to get it in one round right?

Probably one of, if not the best RPG to come out in a while. Dragon Age 2 was pretty much what a lot of people were afraid Dragon Age: Origins would be after Mass Effect. I maintain that it's still good, but it's shallow compared to Origins.

The general consensus is that they fixed it into an awesome game. I'm serious.

GAF, with Mass Effect 2, you buy DLC from the game itself correct? So even if it's on sale, it'd probably be cheaper to buy it on PS3 as it includes most of the DLC already?

If you disliked the first game, Assassin's Creed 1 is the tech demo for Assassin's Creed 2.

Actually the game launcher directs you to Bioware's website.

WARNING!!!

DO NOT BUY DRAGON AGE II.

I hate The Longest Journey.

At first I got that stupid "Steam not found" message when trying to start the game.

Then I finally got it to run and ... now the cutscenes aren't playing.

Two Worlds 2 and Torchlight now off my wish list.

66$ out of 100 spent so far...still need portal 2 and Bulletstorm. I don't think I'll be able to stay in budget unless P2 can hit $25ish and bulletstorm does better than 60% off.

Yep, the DLC is bought with Bioware points. Which is never on sale.

Between the different Origins (opening stories), the numerous abilities, the strategic game play and high re playability it's an absolute fucking steal.

If you just make it through 1 opening story it's worth it.

Seriously, ANYONE who liked the old-school Transformers Cartoons MUST download War for Cybertron. It's a fucking Nostalgia rollercoaster.

I promise you won't be disappointed. And you will probably cry at the Credits.

I'm confused. Dragon Age: Origins is 10 bucks and Awakening, the DLC, another 10. Why are people saying that the ultimate edition is $10? I'm not even seeing it on the store. (on another point, when I click the banner on the front page, it leads me only to Dragon Age 2. I have to manually search the store for Dragon Age: Origins)

Yep. They turned the game into more of an open world model, allowing you to progress the story without completing the sidequests. And it's made the better for it (get bored by sidequests, push the story forward whenever you want).

froliq said:

Yep. And the points are in denominations that would result in you oftentimes having useless points (can't buy anything with 50 points).

Still no buys yet. Either I own it or not interested or it's just a liiiiiiiiiiiiitle too much.

(Two Worlds 2 and Ass Cree Bro would be bought if they were under $14. MW2 if it was under $10 (Fuck sakes, that game is a couple years old. $20 shouldn't even be considered a deal))

I'm a Steam sales virgin (and a new PC gamer). 4 day total is 66 bucks so far.
You're first is always your biggest. Occasional stupid errors on non-daily deal purchases right off the bat, buying the packs(For me it was THQ's), and in general picking up many of the titles for the last few years. Heh.

Damage so far

Day 1: Nothing
Day 2: GTA Trilogy, Dark Messiah
Day 3: Nothing
Day 4: Dragon's Age Ultimate Edition

Total damage, 20.20. ^_^

How is Two Worlds 2? Is it like Risen/Gothic, I didn't care for those.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, is the Deluxe versions extras worth the extra cash? I'll only be playing single player.

Tropico 3 Gold, I know it's extremely cheap but with Tropico 4 coming out this year, should I really bother with 3?

I find the tower defense genre to be quite boring, is Defense Grid different enough in some way? It's the only ticket-game in the 3€ range that seems decent... (The Polynomial is barely a game, right?)
