Also considering Defense Grid. Though I don't think I've ever really played a tower defense game. I did pick up Plants vs Zombies yesterday though.

You've been missing out, TD is brilliant. W3 TD was where I started.

How accessible/fun is Defense Grid for someone who has very little experience with tower game?

And how is Trine?

I tend not to enjoy tower defense games at all and yet quite enjoyed Defense Grid...

Btw, just to clarify: Two Worlds II wasnt discounted at all, it has no discount for the duration of the sale

meaning that we now have confirmation that non-discounted games can get a daily sale, yay!

So I can expect Bulletstorm tomorrow right? For that reason, and because there's nothing better to play on America's birthday than a game about fun and creative ways to kill people.

Maybe DNF will get a daily. It could probably use the help.

mmhh, here's an older version (i think, might be a completely different one) but it should still work: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1085076

its a very very useful config tool.

Allows you to change the field of view (the default, consolized one is nauseating imo), disable the boring nvidia claptrap startup movies, between other things.

Its super straight forward so you should have no trouble at all using it.

Yeah , your right, it is simple. The only thing is, I'm using the new one but the field of view settings are grayed out and I can't change them?

you need to change one of the video settings from the game at least once, then enter a game and exit for the game to create the .ini files that this editor alters.

As of now it aint doing nothing cause it doesnt find the required files. Sorry i forgot that!

Didn't we have that with MoH and BF already?

Picked up Toki Tori and Defense Grid.

I'll pick up Trine before the sale is over, hopefully it's a daily deal. Same with Aquaria.

Any feedback on Lume? The artstyle is gorgeous.

Get past the initial tutorial which would leave you to think the game is shit, and you will find one hell of a fun adventure.

I found the combo of extreme jankiness and beautiful visuals an incredibly jarring experience.

So far i have picked up Hydrophobia: Prophecy and Devil May Cry 4 in this particular Steam Sale, I try not to pick up too much during these things these days since my Steam library is quite large and I don't like to get too backlogged with games.

I realized that I don't have much space on my laptop. Can someone suggest a good (but cheap) external harddrive that I can use for Steam games?

Wow, Dark Messiah is pretty awesome...a medieval first person action game, what a novel idea. I like kicking people into things. It's my sleeper hit of the sale so far, and I paid chump change for it.

And Dragon Age today. Looks like there is one big EA game per day so far.

All I want is ME2. Come on EA! I don't want to buy it on Origin.

I pointed out the Origin image with Bulletstorm cause its a "newer" franchise so idk if ea would do discounts outside of Origin. ME and Dragon Age get discounts cause they always did, im sure' youll get ME2 for like 10 bucks.

I'm kind of kicking myself for not getting it. Fingers crossed it comes up again, otherwise I'll get it on the last day.

Too bad you didn't experience the demo or the game back when it launched, because it came out beside Oblivion. The combat from Ob and DM were like night and day.

Defense Grid is a great game. I bought it for $10 and it was well worth it. It's one of the best, if not THE best, tower defense games ever made. There are multiple ways to win on each level depending on what towers you build and upgrade or what path you lead the enemies through.

I highly recommend it if anyone is interested at all in tower defense.

I can believe it, the combat is a blast so far. I'd love a fully fleshed out first person RPG with the same combat system.

So lets go back into the time machine of page 20 Mr_Elysia was kind of to say I was a winner for his dice roll contest.

TYVM...Mr_Elysia was true to his word and gifted me the two game pack on Steam. So Kudos and positive feedback for good man Mr_Elysia.

Took 9 hours to dl transformers. Loaded the game it says "Failed to contact key server."

Wtf valve!?
Keep trying, it will go through eventually.

Is that even a Valve problem? I've never heard of it before.

Defence Grid's summer sale Out of Bullets achievement is how you introduce and hook someone on your game. It's easily the best tower defence game that I've played and it's a game that'll stay installed on my machine for a good long while.

Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm is what I'm waiting for.

Otherwise, this sale up to this point has been a total let down.

That is a known problem, it means they ran out of cd-keys and you will have to wait hours or days for them to replenish it. Or something is wrong with Valve's key server.

Yeah, Defense Grid is really fucking awesome. I'm glad that they forced me into playing it (I had got it from a pack a long time ago but never touched it up until now).

Do you own everything that's gone on sale so far? Some really fantastic games up for very cheap. It has been an awesome sale for me so far. Today was kind of a dud because I already owned everything that I would be interested in, but if I hadn't I would've been ecstatic.

Well that is exceptionally shitty. Hopefully it's just the server getting hammered and they aren't actually out of keys.

Never beat Assassin's Creed 2...so was thinking about getting that, but then everyone is talking about how awesome Brotherhood and it's multiplayer are...

Would I miss anything by jumping straight to Brotherhood? Also are there still people playing the MP?

Very short but it has some challenging puzzles.

If you went straight to Brotherhood you would be out of loop on the story. If you don't really care about the SP story, you can read it up on wikipedia and just continue on with Brotherhood.

Also the game was just recently released on PC, of course there are people playing.

You would miss my personal favorite city in the entire series, Venice. Asscreed 2 has an awesome campaign. Brotherhood is also fantastic, but if you have the money I would say go for both.

I swore I wouldn't buy a non-mainline AC game (because I prefer to just stick with the numbered entries). But watching the Borgias made me wanna play some ass bro.

Bought this and Dawn of War 2 Retribution previously (along with Bit Trip Runner). Now I need Space Chem to hit that 5 dollar price again and I'm done.

Huh? That makes no sense. There are massive twists that happen in Brohood regarding the Desmond shit. Going into AC3 without knowing those things would be a real clusterfuck.

It's okay, he can just watch the "previously on" videos when AC3 comes out and be confused why he doesn't remember any of it.

No number, no buy.
