Holy shit. Iron Grip: Warlord is awesome and i haven't even tried multiplayer yet.

Best part of these activities is that it's making me try out all the Indie games that were part of the cheap packs i bought during the Christmas sale.

I didn't know they progressed the desmond story in ass bro. Hmm....

Bro is like 30% to 35% Desmond. Besides the "new time, new character" thing, it really is ACIII.

Why doesn't Steam record your time if you're playing offline? I played at least 2 hours in Torchlight today and it says I only played 15 minutes.

It is fucking amazing and it would literally be a crime to not pick it up at its current price point.

Like as in you detached the Ethernet cable from your computer?

You can still do that?

I'm playing on my laptop.

Proud of myself for not grabbing Kane & Lynch 1&2. The library completionist in me wanted 'em real bad... but then I looked at my 100+ (literally) game backlog. And I'm not talking bullshit Steam indie games. AAA games.

There's just NO WAY I'll ever play that shit. Still... it's so hard to resist...

I was joking, but I see where you're coming from. Comcast fucked up a while ago and I was without internet for a week, during which none of my play time got recorded. It must only take a tally while you're connected, probably in order to prevent cheating on playtime-related achievements, I would imagine.

Think of it this way, by the time you would've gotten around to actually playing it, you'll probably be able to pick up both for a couple of bucks tops.

Sorry to ask this again, but can I get Dragon Age to play like the console version? I'm not a PC gamer and I heard that console versions were simpler.

Does AC Brotherhood perform better on PC? Does it have that stupid Ubisoft DRM? I have AC 1 & 2 on the Xbox 360 (didn't play 2 yet) and I think I'm doing the same for consistency.

I came up with a rule to solve this.

If you want to play the game TODAY, pay up to your normal game threshold.

If you're not sure when you'll play the game, pay up to $5/10 depending how rich you are (I am poor).

In the worst case, you hate or never play the game, and you've wasted less than a lunch. It can go on sale for cheaper later and you won't feel ripped off (the difference between 2.50 and 5.00 is not a lot). And, if you end up loving it, you get the joy of finding a hidden gem in your giant pile of games.

Wow, Dark Messiah is pretty awesome...a medieval first person action game, what a novel idea. I like kicking people into things. It's my sleeper hit of the sale so far, and I paid chump change for it.

The story is a little cheesy at times and some of the dialogue is a little off, but the fps sword combat is out of this world.

And kicking people is a delight.

Random Question: Can you play the Crossworlds content before beating King's Bounty Armored Princess?

The two together is only $2 more than Armored Princess alone but I wonder if I'll ever get around to Crossworlds

Crossworlds has two mini campaigns that you can play from the get go as well as an enhanced version of the Armored Princess campaign. I haven't played through the crossworlds campaign myself yet but supposedly its more like a director's cut version rather than just adding stuff to the end.

This is basically what I do.

Is it above 10$? It will be cheaper. I have well over 50-60 titles in my backlog anyways and I keep adding to them thanks to GoG, Steam, and Goozex.

Below 10$? Depends on what game, initial price, % off, and everything it comes with. I put 10$ down as my bar for DA:OU. I didn't care for the DLC, but I wanted both Origins+Awakening. Lowest I would be able to get them would be 7$ish I figure.

While Dark Messiash was only 2.50$ and on a whim. Interesting videos were posted here and Stallion backed it. Why the hell now. I spend 2.50 on eating a single meal in most cases... if not more. These I don't mind at all adding to my backlog.

I wonder why people keep asking "is it worth it" when we live in an age where there are demos and LPs on Youtube to help you decide.

Thanks for the answer

Do you (or anyone else) know if a beginner could jump into a Crossworlds mini campaign or are they designed for experience players

I'm in the mood for a smaller RPG campaign, I think I'll pick up the pack and jump into Crossworlds

Hey guys,

I already beat both AC2 and AC:BroHood. And after the reveal of AC:Revelations, I was wondering if Assassin's Creed is any good for the given price??

Ah, The Adventures of Sir Kicksalot Deathboot in the Land of the Conspicuously Placed Spike Racks. It's a very unique game and reasonably good.

Defense Grid is a great game. I bought it for $10 and it was well worth it. It's one of the best, if not THE best, tower defense games ever made. There are multiple ways to win on each level depending on what towers you build and upgrade or what path you lead the enemies through.

I highly recommend it if anyone is interested at all in tower defense.
Yes. Defence Grid is amazing. For $2.50 it's a steal.

It's worth beating at least once if you are interested in the story and for 6 bucks, that isn't too bad. I don't feel the need or desire to ever replay the game again, but I am glad that I did beat it at least once because it set up the back story for the superior sequels. Sure, you can watch all the cutscenes on youtube, but IMO it's not quite the same.

I like AC1 but you might not because you'll be missing:

-kill streaks/combos in combat
-can't block with the hidden knife
-can't do cool assassination moves (double kills, from ledges, from above, from cover)
-can't speed climb buildings
-no subtitles
-"boring, repetitive missions to unlock the assassination"
they are only boring on the console versions
-not being a ninja because real Muslim assassins didn't sneak in and shank mofos in the dark like in AC2

I find it rather fun.

Well, I bought AC2 since I already played the first one on the xbox. Reading some impressions, seems to have improved quite a bit. I'm pretty excited. :D

I guess I'll add my voice to the chorus of people who've found Grid Defense to be pretty neat. Only finished the first few levels, but it's pretty fun. Still trying to figure out the best mixes and layout densities to get the most bang for my buck on the cannons. Nice game though. Glad I got it.

I have a GTX 570 but I got GTA VC in 1080p and its running choppy. Is there a guide out there for tweaks and such?

Awwwwwww. Damn, I guess I'll have to see once I finish downloading the game. I find it hard not being able to pull off various assassinations move.

I only tried the arena mini campaign but I found it to be pretty difficult (I had only played Kings Bounty: The Legend before). You start off at a higher level and have to fight a bunch of boss monsters so it seems to be aimed at veterans.

what do you guys think are the chances we'll see a Lost Planet daily deal?

and what about Ninja Blade? its currently @ 50% off ...$9.99. kinda want ...but will wait till the end of the sale.

i'm thinking slim to none for Ninja Blade as a daily deal ...slim for Lost Planet.

Not to rain on your parade, but assassins in the Third Crusade were pretty much suicide bombers in the sense that you made it as public as possible (which is why pretty much every target you kill involves you chasing them through the streets) before you get hauled off to be executed. They kept it more or less how it was but the only thing they really changed is the part where you get to escape to stab another day.

Which is kinda why I appreciated it, at least they tried to be historically true to the setting.

Same here.

RPG's have to be borderline awful for me not to enjoy them. TW2 looks pretty decent, plus there is a expansion coming out for it involving pirates. Pirates!

Just saw Torchlight for sale. My friend recommended me this, and now I'm sad that even though he suggested it at the price it was before, I can't get it right now for such a low price :'(

$10 till Friday is so fun right? RIGHT?!

Bad Company 2 doesn't support gamepads. :(

I'm fine for SP, but I'm unfortunately not good enough with m&kb for mp.

Spend some time learning then.... you will thank me later for this.
