That's on my last day purchase list.
If you're planning to get the ticket for the game, it will take you about 1-2hrs at most. First you have to land about 200 planes to unlock the map required, then use planes to keep umbrellas open. The good thing is, that I got the achievement while unlocking the map without doing anything extraordinary, then I went to the forums and noticed it is common to get the achievement out of nowhere.

Then get bloody good time. Only 3.74
I was going to say "or get The Ship there's probably more people playing that". So I went to see how much it was and it's 20. I guess this is because it was published by the now out of business developer. I wonder who gets the money for a sale.

It's 75% off, it almost certainly won't be a daily.

the rule of dailies isnt just for waiting on a game to get discounted, its best to buy those games on the last days because you should save your money for the dailies, even if its not the same game, maybe one that you really want will come up, and then you wont have enough money to get it for buying games that could perfectly wait till the last minute.

here:

Before the release of Bloody Good Time, Outerlight's website was shut down, its development team was disbanded, and its office was vacated. This is attributed to the net loss from The Ship. The company is not totally dissolved, and Chris Peck plans to continue it if Bloody Good Time is successful.

so i guess Peck still gets some money

The Steam Sale is definitely working its charms on me. Even though I already own Torchlight as a direct download from Runic Games, I am tempted to buy it from Steam so that I can earn the achievements for it.

Curse you Steam, and your ridiculously good deals!

So for the ARES achievement, what the hell is a bomber? And is the "zytron walker" the purple four legged robots or something else?

Can anyone tell me how to check my total stage time for Super Meat Boy? I've still got 8 or 9 levels to A+ but I'd like to know how I'm doing thus far.

Thank you, ma'am ;)

I wonder if people know about that.. too small of a thing to make a thread about, but its an awesome tool

also, fuck you :p

I suppose that's good. It's better than the money falling into a pit somewhere. Still though, I doubt the ship is raking in money.

game is still published by Ubisoft, they get most of the cash

Finally got it working. If anyone else has the problem I had this is the solution.

go to c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\transformers war for cybertron\redist and run the PhysX_10.01.29_9.10.0129_SystemSoftware

After that it worked perfectly.

The Ship? I know BGT was.

I bet there's a great in depth article to be written surrounding outerlight and ubisoft.

Yup, it looks like I'll have to just hold onto my copy of New Vegas until I get a more powerful computer. Too much mouse/keyboard lag :(

Still, I'm pleasantly surprised how well Defense Grid and Torchlight are working. They both had a bit of slowdown at first but after adjusting the video settings they run PERFECTLY.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate, but I need some convincing. 23GB install has made me hesitate a bit too.

What are the best things about this game and does it contribute anything special/unique to the genre or gaming as a whole that would make it worth checking out at least as a technical feat?

That would be breaking the first rule of Steam sales :)
I say throw caution to the wind, I broke the rule the first day and got to take advantage of a tasty little pricing error.

EDIT: Just bought and played a game of Flight Control, it's great.

picked up bfbc2 thanks to this thread. only problem is that I keep getting the same punkbuster errors that I get when I bought BF2 when it was on sale, lame.

I disabled Steam community in-game option and that sorted out my Punkbuster issues.

It's a shame the Steam overlay and Punkbuster can't co-exist with each other.

Works fine for me. I did have to dl and run PBsetup after I first installed BFBC2, though, or else I kept getting kicked from servers with PB errors.

Download the files directly from Punkbuster.

You mean all the DLC for all 3 games are free!?

The DLC consists of the soundtrack, and some random story-related images and artwork.

The DLC character in multiplayer can be bought by doing uplay achievemnts and doesn't actually effect gameplay.

I'm so bad, I bought almost $200 worth of stuff, and my computer can't run Minesweeper, much less Doom.

Any laptop suggestions would be much appreciated.

damn Steam is sure slow right now....Is there any region that's getting good DL speeds? I tried UK/Denmark and Taiwan. Nothing above 200KB/sec

I'm quite enjoying Defense Grid!

I bought it during the Potato Sack thing, thinking I would just play it to farm a potato or two.

Instead...I played it all weekend and had a great time. It's a really, really fun game. The maps are challenging, the towers are fun and they punish you if you spam towers instead of thoughtful upgrades at key points.

A marvelous game and easily my favorite tower defense game.
