You have to match up your string with the same unmoving string among the flashing letters and numbers. If you unfocus your eyes slightly it's really easy. As a minigame I kinda like it, you sort of have to get all zen and then rush to beat the timer.

Yeah I just figured it out, didn't realize I had to use the mouse to move around for the right side code. I wasn't understanding what the fuck they were asking me to do, and there is so much text on the screen it takes me like 8-10 seconds to get both codes. Are these frequent throughout the rest of the game?

Also, since I assume you have played it, should I use a 360 controller instead? Doesn't seem built with mouse and keyboard in mind.

It's not as much that I prefer the setting itself, just that Obsidian isn't as skilled at actually physically constructing the world. Bethesda has a lot more experience in designing this type of game in a 3D fully open world setting, and I think it shows when comparing the two games.
Hmmm really? I felt New Vegas was a lot better realized as a world than DC, technical limitations of the crappy engine aside.

So the best of the daily sales day is this Sunday, July 10th?

Most likely the 10th will just be a sale for the most popular daily deals. It probably won't have any sales that haven't come before.

Yeah, I reckon it plays better with a controller. You can try some of the .ini fixes in the OP here: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3423015 . Some of them make the mouse better if you want to persist with it, but some of them improve the animations too.

Yeah, pad is preferable but I found that the lockpicking minigame was a nightmare with the ps3 pad's triggers so I had to switch to KB/M for them.

(a pretty cool guy posted in that thread you linked)

What big games could still go on sale?

Majority of the Valve catalog hasn't been on a sale. Those will be coming. Everything featured on the wall of prizes will almost certainly go on sale. Deus Ex back catalog most likely with the new one coming. I don't think the Hitman games have been a sale which the will be. Honestly, we're only at the beginning so there will be a lot of big, popular games coming. We're not even at the halfway point yet.

Alright, I have one more question about saving game save files. I did the GameSave Manager and it seemed to save them but I don't really understand how it works so I have to ask:

If I go to Torchlight's "save" folder and simply copy the items to a flash drive, install the game on a new computer and paste those items in the appropriate folder should that work?

Even better.

Steam Cloud - Save your game progress to the Steam Cloud and resume from another computer. However, save games are not cross platform; PC saves will not migrate to Mac and vice-versa.

So I bought Singularity. Loved it back when it came out on 360 and still loving it today. Game is smooth on my pc and look all right (nothing fancy but it's playable).

The only problem I have is the terrible controls! They limited the number of actions you can do because the game was designed with a pad in mind. It's fine on 360/PS3 but they left it like that on PC too! For example, it's the same binding for Reload and Use! I can't get my head around using R to "use" and I can't use anything other than R for Reload....so I'm screwed.

And even worst, even if I would want to play it with the 360 pad, the game will play fine but it doesn't officially support the 360 controller so instead of the real button icons you geat "Button ##". How am I supposed to know which of the buttons on the 360 pad is Button 11? lol.

Anyway, I'll get used to the controls I guess but that's really annoying and that's something that could have easily been fixed when they ported the game.

Tangent here: Anyone know where the Zombie Driver save file is located? I can't find it.

In case you haven't figured out AppData in your Start button search box.

Patch is username>AppData>Roaming>ZombieDriver on Win 7 anyway.

Woke up this morning to find the 24 gig download of DA:O:Ultimate finished. I went onto the Bioware social site and registered my codes, hoping the DLC ingame will drop the "Unauthorized" tag soon.

Is there any content I should not have installed? I mean there's any over-powered "exclusive" items that will make early loot useless?

EDIT: What the f-ck, DA:O installed a system service just to handle content updates for a single game! And it's not doing a very good job at it either, DLC still not authorizing.

Follow the stickies in the steam Dragon Age forum. I had the exact same issue during the Christmas Sale. Thankfully after getting it working you can just copy/paste the folder for dragon age in documents and if you reinstall the game just replace and it and everything will be there.

Under downloads in game, there should be 19 items. Make sure to check the Other Campaigns tab to see if 5 entries are listed. I had the issue of Awakenings and a couple of others that were not listed.

There are a few player posts as well that should help. I don't remember which ones I looked at, at the time though.

Anyone tried Shadowgrounds Survivor?
If it's anything like Shadowgrounds... Dunno, I wouldn't buy it.
Just my 2 cents. I didn't like Shadowgrounds. It felt too dated. And this comes from someone that has a laptop that barely runs TF2.

Nightsky is awesome. God, I love indie games.

I got a free copy of Saira, too, so I figured it was the equivalent of paying $2.50 each. I kinda feel bad for not paying more. I guess I can fix that, though...

What is Saira?

Question.
Is there any way to play something, and keep downloading games?
And I'm not even talking about online games like TF2. But something like Recettear... It just stops my downloads.

Alt tab back out after you started up a game and hit the little button on each download twice. It should change it from 'suspended' because you started a game, to 'paused', then to 'downloading'.
