Frozen Synapse is fucking awesome. I completely and utterly fail at the game so far though :(

Can't even complete my first mission correctly lol

That depends. If you are up for old school style run and gun pure action FPS in maze like levels, it's the one that started it all (Wolf3D notwithstanding).

If you're big into the new Halo/Call of Duty style FPS, it's quite possible it will not connect with you.

For the price though, I would probably say yes if you have any interest.

Dont let the first mission mock you. Its one of the hardest, especially for new players. You are not as bad as the first mission makes you out to be.

Ultimate Doom is the first Doom (it was the retail name for Doom that had an extra campaign over the shareware version).

If you are picking and choosing over getting the pack, I would strongly suggest Doom II or both of the originals.

So FS sounds awesome and looks pretty neat. However I probably won't have anyone to play it. Is it mainly a MP experience or does it not really matter what mode you play it in? (Sorry if this has already been answered in here)

Went and bought the Doom pack. As is a motto with the steam sales, it's just nice to have them in my collection, and hey, I love Doom, so it's win win no matter what.

It TRAWLS to this point and then just stops and I can't get out of Steam without force closing it. Any ideas?

Those playing doom who want to play co-op with their friends should check out doomsday instead of zdoom. Played episode one with a friend last night, pretty sweet.

Still can't get the TF2 summer heat achievement to shown as completed in the steam site, it appears as completed in the in-game achievement list, tried getting new achievements to see if that fixes it, but haven't had any luck

Anyone know a way to force achievement synching?

Make sure you have hard drive space. I've noticed that Steam does some weeeeird stuff if it is trying to download stuff but the hard drive fills up.
