but you prolly still have tons of new games for that money :D

Bought like 4 things

Penny Arcade combo pack - 1.80
BFBC2: Spec ops DLC - 2.06
Back to the future - 12.50
Alpha Protocol - 7.50 (priced gouged by 2.50 on Aussie Steam)

To be honest i have like 140 Steam games (despite Steam community saying i have 230 games). I have bought most of the games I want, It's very easy for me to say no to alot of the daily deals.

I would have bought Frozen Synapse if it was a single copy for $6. As it is, though, I don't think I'll bother. Maybe next time. What kind of stupid idea is this anyway, selling two copies together?

Yeah, I don't like that at all. Why make people jump through hoops for no reason?

They should have done a single copy for $6 or a double copy for $10. Probably would have sold more IMO.

No doubt about that.

You can't argue with the price considering you get a 2nd copy to trade or gift to someone!
yes you can

I want one copy for 6 dollars, not 2 copies for 12.

I have no use for a second copy. I don't want to gift it, and I don't have any irl friends who use Steam, and I'm not trading a random Internet person another game for it.

So I'm stuck paying double for a game I only need 1 of.

I have somehow been spared most of the sale so far. I will probably grab a lot on the final day since most of the daily stuff hasn't been on my wishlist.

Does anybody have any impressions of Winter Voices? Reviews haven't been kind apparently but the game looks pretty interesting. I'm trying to decide if I should grab the Prologue now so I can play around with it enough to decide if I should grab the rest of it by the end of the week.

Damn, Bit.Trip Runner is hard as shit. Is it worth spending my time on or should move on?
I made it to level 2-7 by sheer willpower. Even though it's ridiculously hard I'm still enjoying it and I think it's well worth the €2 I spent on it.

Running out of time and still haven't decided on whether or not to get AP.

If I do, at 11GB it's going to be hard to buy any other game and not getting dangerously close to my bandwidth limit :(

I like it. Prologue is pretty weak, unfortunately, and that's what a lot of the reviews are of. Rock, Paper, Shotgun will be re-reviewing it soon given the progress the game has made. The writing is pretty good and it's very interesting thematically. I'm not sure how much it is on your store though - each episode is £1.74 here and you could do a lot worse I think.

Bully is bought. Homefront... eh, not sure about that one. I might get the X360 version instead down the line.

I'd remind everyone interested in Homefront that it's in the THQ hits pack for $49.99 which includes Company of Heroes, DoWII and Chaos Rising, TQ and Immortal Throne, Metro 2033, Red Faction Guerilla and on and on. That's a crazy ass deal for $50 if you were thinking of dropping $25 just on Homefront.

I remember when Homefront came out and it got smacked around; reviews were not very kind. Now its cheaper and people will consider picking it up. Makes me wonder if the execs look at the sales and go:

"Hmmn our game sold horribly at full price, but is selling reasonably well at this lower price point. Maybe we should launch our (crappy) games at this price, or make a high quality game if we want to release at $60.

More then likely it goes like this:
"Hmm our game sold horribly at full price, but is selling reasonably well at this lower price point. Probably just the economic downturn; lets get back to work making Homefront 2:The return of horrible ethnic stereotypes and crap!"

Thanks for the head's up on the prologue. Yeah, they're $2.49 each during the summer sale.

Looking over the achievements, it appears there's a summer themed one so I'm guessing it has a slight chance of being discounted a little more when it is featured during the camp activities. Either way, I'll probably grab the prologue and first episode when the ticket pops up and hope I get a good enough feel for it before the last sale day.

I'm pretty sure as far as their business model is concerned, you're not paying $12.50 per copy (at non-sale price). They probably thought the game was worth $20 but they could throw in an extra copy for $5. The extra copy is to give away and help evangelize the game. They weren't really expecting you to coordinate with strangers over the internet on sharing the cost.

Damn, everyone is so crazy about Frozen Synapse, I might just cave in to peer-pressure and buy it myself.

It's a pretty fun game, but it's not a genre-leaper for me. What I mean by that is, if you don't think you'd like a turn based strategy game that looks like a snazzy Rainbow Six pre-mission planning map you won't like this game.

Much like Demon Souls on GAF it's getting touted as this amazing game, but only you know deep down inside your little heart of hearts if it's right for you or not. Don't buy into the peer pressure if you don't think you'd want to play a turn-based strat game!

Anyone think Terraria will be a daily deal?

That's what I've really been waiting for.
I'm not sure. It's already pretty darn cheap.

It's more than worth it's full price. First game I have put over 50 hours in since Oblivion.

Decided to skip on Alpha Protocol. Hopefully I find some good stuff today.

I doubt it, it's fairly recent and has been selling really well, no need to put it on special. I could be wrong though.

They are losing a sale because I'd rather just buy the one copy and I refuse to buy an extra copy.

Imagine of EB bundled two copies of Halo together and that was the only way you could buy it.

Well, I finally picked up my first game of this sale...Alpha Protocol. I really want Fallout NV but I know that a GOTY addition is just around the corner and with my backlog, I wouldn't be touching it until Christmas at the earliest anyways.

I think we'll see a 50% off sale. Maybe 66%. It's selling enough without sales that the they're not going to drop it drastically.

Guys, is anyone having the same problem as me? i've had steam for a while and this hasn't happened besides this week. So every time i start steam, Half Life: Lost Coast keeps downloading itself and i have to delete local content every day. what's up with this?

Has there been any explanation as to what is up with that damn canoe?

P.S. Please let us know if you have seen the camp canoe. It seems to have disappeared during the night.

P.S. Beware of beavers today. One of our counselors (cough Burton cough) started dismantling the beaver dam so he could build us a new canoe. Have you ever seen angry beavers after you’ve stolen all their twigs?!
And so on...

There are still 2 more DLC to come and the next is coming end of this month, GOTY is pretty far off.

I think a similar thing is happening on my account with Beat Hazard, every time I turn on my laptop it downloads 230.8mb. Whether that's the full game or just an update downloading itself each time I'm not sure but...what the hell.

Runner is great because even if you hit a stage you can't beat, it's so relaxing and fluid that restarting the level is really no big deal. You can hit a nice groove with it too where everything just falls into place.

Thats fine, but its wrong to think they would have sold one copy for half the cost.

Two Worlds 2 has some of the absolute BEST terrible dialog I've ever heard! At one point, that evil dragon Sorceress from Cinderella (I guess she's a "prophet" now) says in response to a "will this happen" type question "That remains to be undetermined". How did the voice actor let that one slide?

I haven't bought a single game during this sale. I'm quite bummed out about that, but on the other hand I wouldn't want to buy something I'm not going to play too much.

Still hoping for Batman AA and Crysis maximum ed., at least.
