I'll keep my eyes on Europa Universalis Complete, seems very nice. How are those Hearts of Iron games?
I bought some of the Hearts of Iron games... and just couldn't make heads or tails of them very easily. They're pretty complex or at least the shit interface makes it seem that way. I had a tough time doing anything.

It is objectively speaking, one of the very greatest games ever made. Fact. Indisputable. Is it possible it's too demanding for you and you won't like? Very possible. But in the words of the immortal Barney Stinson: It's LEGEND-DARY.

k...but it's the same people in the same thread, generally speaking. They are going to give you the same opinions, rosy shades and all.

It won "best PC game of all time" in PC gamer, if that helps.

Ok, thanks. I don't know why I've never played it before...

Stealth gets 10x harder in the last half of Deus Ex, it's far easier to just kill people who get in your way. Grab the GEP gun and blow people up.
Completely frustrating for those taking a more role-playing approach (of course an agent would prefer to sneak into facilities under delicate contexts rather than going in full guns blazing) but unfortunately the only really viable option in the first. Stealth is so flakey and broken sometimes.

Completely improved upon in Human Revolution.

Sims Medieval on daily omg!

Not a great price - not even close - but I might buy anyway, I really want that game. Depends on what else pops up.

Hopefully it will be cheaper when the deals are ready to go live, some of these prices have been wonky at first.

Jamestown is also a daily ($5)
Hot-damn, yes. Just about the right price for that sort of game, too. Hopefully the UK price will be fair.

But I'm still waiting on Portal 2. That's my big wish for this sale. At the end of it all, I will be buying Bloodlines if it doesn't go daily.

If the Sims 3 mega bundle is discounted enough, that'll also be bought.

And thus it will be the first day I do some actual spending.

I can't decide if I should buy Monday Night Combat or not. Only 5 minutes remaining... sigh, why do I have to face such hardships in life :/

If I'm only getting one King's Bounty, which one should I get?
.

The Platinum pack for $6.99 with all three games. But if you insist on 1 it would be Armored Princess. Crossworlds requires it, so you can't get that as a stand alone.

The original's probably the best, certainly in terms of the extra 'powers' you can take into battle. In Armoured Princess/ Crossworlds, you can only have your dragon. They're all very good, though and you'll get dozens of hours out of whichever one you go for.

When you purchase EA DLC from Steam, do you get a viewable CD key?

I'd like to be able to add my Steam purchases to Origin at a later date.

I'll chime in: I thought Deus Ex was somewhere between 'ok' and 'good'. I had a real hard time with the monotone voices, Matrix meets Robocop style, and thought the graphics were ugly. These were day-one opinions and I feel the game hasn't aged well.

Freedom Force isn't THAT old.

So is Jaded by Aerosmith but I wouldn't call it old. Pong is old.

Well in a sense, it is a bit old.

Or obscure.

It's one of the best superhero games, but it's obscure in a sense that it isn't mainstream.

It's been on sale before, like twice.

But what about this steam summer sale?
