I need some help with the Spiral Knights ticket, please!

Someone told me I need 3000 crowns to buy the Firecracker Bomb, but I have no idea how/where to buy it. I have the 3000 crowns. Could someone tell me where to get the bomb?

edit: I'm in 'Haven' now, or whatever it's called where you start out.
This guy sells it, he's somewhere in the Baazar area of Haven (area to left).

Pretty sure it was 5$ back when it was last on sale a year and a half (or so) ago.

I think they sold it in a four pack or something along those lines. Both games are $5.01 in the pack. I'll just be patient and pick it up last day of the sale. Even though I doubt it'll be a deal you never know. Plus I have a bazillion games already.

I started with $20 and 7 days later I have $7.09 left. Steam is losing it's power over me!

You can also check the auction house in Haven (probably near a house where the giant crowd of people are in the middle). Right click or use whatever your attack button is when prompted. Sort by buy price, search for the item and purchase with the buy now option.

So, NeoGAF, what has been your best purchase of the sale so far? That is, if you've actually played any of your sale purchases yet.

Even though it wasn't a daily, I'm gonna have to go with Terraria. It's like crack. 9 hours in and I still have a lot to learn but I went from burrowing holes in the ground to building a pretty pimp mansion. It's stolen my attention away from all of the other games I've picked up.

Frozen Synapse is the best so far, but I haven't started Just Cause 2 yet.

It truly is like crack when you first start out. I was enamored with it for a while. Great game, my biggest surprise of the year so far.

Bit.Trip.Runner would be mine so far. Such a simple game, but really slick presentation and execution.

Reminds me of my days playing BC's Quest for Tires on Colecovision. I've also got some good fun out of Toki Tori.

I've been chasing Summer Camp achievements like it's going out of style.

I actually own KF already, but would anyone care to explain what makes it different from Left 4 Dead? I've played an hour of it and didn't really see the appeal, but then again I didn't give it much time either.
Left 4 Dead is all about the journey from point A to point B, Killing Floor drops you into fairly confined maps with ever increasing waves of zombies with a shop opening up between waves so you can spend money you earn by killing the zombies. Zombies in KF are much slower, but also tougher. KF has a points/leveling system where you get class perks when you advance after you meet specific level conditions (get x number of kills/hit points etc). Also, the director in Left 4 Dead will help or hurt you in Left 4 Dead given your current situation, if you forget to buy ammo/armor/weapons in KF you are screwed or will have to run around checking the few ammo/armor/weapon spawn points for slow spawning items. The two are very different games beyond some basic similarities.

How is Killing Floor's single player? I don't need another L4D clone so I'd only be interested in it if the single player was good.
Left 4 Dead (2008) was influenced by the original Killing Floor UT2k4 total conversion mod which was released in 2005, not the other way around.

Borderlands. 14 hours in, nearly completed the vanilla game. Can be a bit tedious at times but quite happy with it.

SpaceChem- horrendously addictive, mind-bending and immensely satisfying.

I'll be playing Synapse tonight since a fellow GAFer hooked a brother up. It seems like the big hit of the sale, it has blown up on my friend's list. The two for the price of one sale was a pretty genius plan.

Spacechem and Torchlight have owned me. Great buys.

Can you guys help me? My friend hooked me up with Stalker SoC last steam sale, and yesterday reminded me of it, and I installed it, ran it once, then installed complete. Now I have these fucking blue lines bordering my left and top sides of my screen that grow every time I look around. What the fuck? It's super annoying. Does ANYONE have the fix for this?

Here's video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5R6Y0xjxnM

Without a doubt Borderlands. My other purchases I had already had on consoles but I just had never taken the leap on Borderlands. However at 8 bucks I couldn't pass it up and I am glad I did. I'm 11 hours in so far and loving every minute of it.

So whats the easiest way to take the MNC ticket? Have tried to play with assault and use the bomb, but I´m really not any good at this game, so no luck so far.

I don't think L4D was influenced by it at all, they are so ridiculously different.

Frozen Synapse.

I played through the tutorial and thought to myself "this game is pretty cool".

Tried a skirmish, couldn't kill more than one enemy before being obliterated.

Prototype's price is a bummer, considering when it came out and that there's a sequel coming. Played it back in the day but never finished it.

Was ready to buy for 7.5usd, then i scrolled down.. yeah, no thanks.

It is a great game, you will be missing out on a brilliant deal if you pass all that quality gameplay for only $5.

BIT.TRIP Runner. I don't generally like the Canabalt/RUA/whatever genre, but the addition of a rhythmic element and fixed stages to it works really well. Excellent beats. Makes all of my muscles tense up as I'm playing. Very challenging in a good way, but rewarding. 10 hours or so played.

Also ran:
- Hamilton's Great Adventure
- Garshasp the Monster Slayer

To get the L4D2 achievement do you have to complete the campaign from start to finish?

Didn't get it from the Steam Sale but definitely Civ 5. The next day I spent about 14 hours forgetting to eat and such I was so engrossed.

Bionic Commando/KOTOR.

I had forgotten just how fun BC is. So good. Sure, there's lots of loading and it breaks the pace but swinging around feels amazing. Really great game.

I'm also liking KOTOR a lot; I finally got my first party member able to use a lightsaber. 8 hours in. Why isn't KOTOR II on Steam? =(

Plus, didn't Prototype get some harsh reviews?

Yeah, I was hoping for more of a price drop on it and Lost Planet 2. Oh well, maybe next year.

Frozen Synapse is awesome, CIV 5 is awesome and Beat Hazard is amazing. Haven't really gotten into too much else yet. Oh wait, Recettear is pretty sweet, need to get back to that. Haven't even started Alpha Protocol yet, among others.

Already owned Frozen Synapse and SpaceChem, so probably Recettear. I haven't played much of the other games I've purchased yet though.

It will hopefully be VtM:Bloodlines and/or Terraira when I buy them on the last day.

Totally agree! 15$ for it is ridiculous, this game is no Call of Duty with it's multiplayer that can still convince people to purchase it at a high price after so many years. Considering Transformers was priced appropriately I am kind of surprised at how expensive Prototype is :/

I haven't played anything I've purchased yet...

But I'm really happy I got the Longest Journey games and Alpha Protocol finally!
I'd wanted them forever, and glad to finally own them.

If you havent bought Left 4 Dead 2, buy it, play it 4 player co-op with GAF or others on the hardest difficulty.

The most fun you'll have with zombies. Guaranteed.

I'm never going to be able to play stuff like Killing Floor without controller support. Moving around with the asdw and being expected to also hit al the other keys over there just isn't something I can do. Is there an easy quick way to get this Killing Floor achievement so I can put this thing back to bed?

*edit*

I'm trying to use Xpadder as I've seen it recommended, but I keep finding versions with google that don't support Windows 7. Could someone link me to a version I'd be able to use?
