Been trying off and on all day to gift a $3 game, keeps hanging at the "working.." part until I close it out. It's a good thing they aren't using any of this sale money on anything wasteful like investing in infrastructure or anything.
I'm kinda interested in Left 4 Dead 2, but is it too late to get it? Does it still have a strong online community? I don't have any friends with it so I'd probably just be with strangers too. Maybe I'll pass...
GAF help me out here. I have Batman AA for PS3 sealed, haven't touched it. I kinda want to get it for PC for the better graphics but I dunno if I should do that. I could always sell or trade in the PS3 one I have... Should I just keep the PS3 one?

Arkham looks great on PS3, but it looks fuggin amazing on PC. Plus, 60FPS is always nice. I think you could offset the price of the PC version by selling the PS3 version.
The one downside would be that the Joker maps are exclusive to PS3, and they're pretty damn fun.
Valve needs to invest in better servers. If gaf can make it through e3 without any trouble, surely Valve can keep Steam running smoothly during a sale.
You can probably Youtube a solution, but just to give you a hint.
You can probably figure out that the red cube needs to go in the "top" teleporter and the orange cube needs to go in the "left" teleporter, right?
So you've probably figured out that in order to make that happen, you need to put one of the rotating green pieces between the two teleports and the red cube needs to get to that area first. Rotating green pieces make the first cube that hits them turn right and the second turn left.
Since there's no way to delay the orange cube, you need to speed up the red cube. You try speeding it up, and it still doesn't get there fast enough. So you need to speed it up again by making it go over the speed up tile twice. To do this, you need to make a circuit of arrows. But since the red cube needs to leave the circuit, part of the circuit needs to be a rotating green piece. If you want a further hint, I'll tell you to put the red speed up piece
in the middle of the sort of 3x3 "entrance" area on the red cube's side.
Once you've got the circuit assembled, the red cube will make it to its teleporter and the orange to its. Then it's just a matter of using your remaining symbols to simply direct them to the end goals.
I finally figured this out, but not after a long, long struggle to make it work another way. It sounds stupid now but I didn't know that it could be sped up more than once. So I was having orange go first, turning onto red's lane with the green piece at the teleporter corner, then turning back with an arrow at the next corner before red gets there, and then turning again back into its own lane, resetting the green piece. By now, red has finally gotten there and turns into the teleporter and I used the only forward-facing arrow in orange's lane to make orange go back yet again and turn into its teleporter. It would have worked with one more right-facing arrow, so I figured I was just off by one little thing. But no.

Are you kidding? There are thousands playing all the time. There are lots of online play modes. User created campaign maps. Valve drops free DLC every now & then . . . like now with this Cold Stream map.

EDIT: I'm thinking of just selling my GTA IV since the PC version is on sale...but I also downloaded Ballad of Gay tony awhile back...and have no way of selling it. Maybe i'll pass on that since i've already got both.
I bought Deus Ex yesterday and tried playing it just now.
It asked me to press F1 or F2 to bring up inventory, but when I do that Windows automatically opens up some help menu. F1 is a general keyboard shortcut for the help menu, and I cannot figure out how to fucking change it.
I know I can just change the keys around in Deus Ex, but I really would rather get rid of the shortcut. Anyone with Win 7 know how to do this?

Just yesterday I finished Arkham Asylum on PC and it was awesome, but I also finished it in '09 on PS3. I went back to get riddler stuff I missed on the PS3 version yesterday too and the differences I noticed were the lack of anti-aliasing, lower framerate, and some longer load times. The PC version's only downside is that the cutscenes are either 720p, or 1080p which look kind of crappy on a 1440p monitor.
The PC version also has optional Phys-X so you can cut caution tape and kick around paper and leaves on the ground to your hearts content.
But, if you have the PS3 version there is still that Joker Challenge stuff.
Ok heres the deal, buy Batman if you havent played it. As someone who wasnt looking forward to this game 1 bit, not even 1! I rented and beat it on 360 when it first came out, it was AMAZING. And then i was messing around on the steam store and downloaded the demo and forgot how incredible this game really is. Bought it again and plan on beating it again, Im also someone who doesnt beat games twice, but holy crap this game.
This same exact team needs to make a superman game
Left 4 Dead 2's community is roughly the same size Team Fortress 2 was before it went free to play, fairly large and active. This isn't Lead & Gold or Section 8: Prejudice niche.
Hmm, I've got some money to spend and I really really want to buy something. Sadly it seems like the sales and even the prices have all been available before. 50% off old LP2 and even older Prototype is a joke
The last day will probably a best-of already-been-there sales
I have a giftable copy of L4D (l4d1 not 2 sorry!) remaining from the golden potato reward thing. If anybody wants it, I'll be happy to gift it to whoever is the first to quote this post.
Just remembered I have the Spiral Knights item if anyone wants it.
I'll be going to bed one hour from now and you have to have reached Haven but otherwise, it's yours.

King's Bounty: Armored Princess is $5. The Platinum Edition (Legend, Armored Princess, Crossworlds) is $7. If you're going to get AP anyway, why not just spend the extra $2 to get another complete game and an expansion?
