Yeah it came for free with HL2 so how people don't have it is beyond me. I thought everyone bought HL2 day 1. One of the best multiplayer components ever to release with a game.

Id pack if you don't already have most of them from a Doom pack or something. The Doom games are worth owning too, although a couple of the old ones play weirdly. Newer stuff like Doom 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein is definitely worth owning as well.

edit: How do people learn how to play Frozen Synapse well so fast? The game makes me feel retarded constantly. Also, are the servers faster now? I got it near release and it took forever to do anything because of calculations and shit.

Okay, I have to just say, Frozen Synapse is a great little gem, perhaps the biggest surprise this sale so far. I already love the tutorial (and the music, too!)

I did not like it. I guess it's too much of a thinking man's shooter for me. Even after the tutorial I was real confused. With that said - no regrets. Love the sale so I can take "risks" on games. It led me to trade my extra copy of Frozen Synapse for Shattered Horizon which is a fun space FPS from 2009 that taxes the hell out of my OC'd GTX 580.

I loved the classic action/puzzle mix in Legend (more action with setpieces) and Anniversary (more puzzles and platforming with less combat). Underworld looks cool, but I haven't played it yet.

Guardian of Light is very different, but it is one of the most fun games I have ever played.

So just played a round in Sanctum, and gotta say that as a sp it's pretty fun(my turrets slaughtered those hamsters). Gonna try multiplayer later.

I just bought kings bounty for 6.99 the complete prenium edition :p played it for about 45 min to see what it was about.. I know i'll enjoy it!

Reminds me of heroes of might and magic.. pretty much a clone but a little different :) worth the price no doubt!

I don't mind hosting. I'm in the UK though so I think it's a tiny bit more expensive.

CSS is definitely worth the $5. I wish there was a demo or something, because it is easy to get discouraged with the experienced community that plays. It will probably take some time before you don't feel like a piece of shit.

Doom 3 visuals aged spectacularly apart from the character models that looked terribad even at launch (for artistic and shader reasons).

Just did the RUSH ticket.

1. This game is fucking cool!
2. The challenge itself was very hard, but
GlaDOS was a surprise.
3. The music is pretty sweet.

These ticket things are a pretty great way of getting people to play good games. Some of this stuff I would have never bothered with.

Shattered Horizons got kinda shitty via patches. They added a bunch of atrocious looking weapons that couldn't be less fun to use.

Also, it's severely dead. I didn't even enjoy it with friends (and friends can make damn near anything fun).
