It's a great game, but it's multiplayer only and they are people who been playing it for ages. The maingame is not very newcomer friendly due to the round system and when you die you lose all your guns, but you have some mods that are pretty fun. For example gungame, were you upgrade your level by killing someone with a specific gun, and upgrading gets you a new gun. Those games are relatively short and there's no big penalty to dying (unless you get knifed)

Anyone able to get the Movie Night ticket? Each time I try to download a trailer it won't download...
In other news I got the AaAaAA!! ticket after about 70 minutes total and a broken keyboard* later...at least 30 minutes of that was at 34,xxx. The ticket will be used for DLC for that game...
*-One of the legs couldn't take my hulk-fist...my first incident of nerd-rage too...

Damn i have been getting pretty awful DL speeds on Steam lately, i'm pretty sure it's not my internet because i have tried downloading non steam stuff and i get normal speeds then. I have tried changing my download region to a bunch of places but it's still pretty slow, any suggestions?

Why does everyone keep saying noobs will get owned in CS:S. I think it depends on how you play. If you are smart you can do okay. Its not COD though, so you cant just rush. Youll die fast and often. Stick with the rest of the team and be cautious. Once you play a map a couple of times you should have a good understanding of where people camp, where flash bangs are typically going to be thrown, the map layout (maps are pretty simple in CS:S), what equipment to buy, etc.
Also, maybe play on a server that gives you max cash so you dont have to try to save up to get the equipment you need.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned Risen, but yeah, it's a no brainer if you like exploration RPG's. It's not the most polished game out there, I don't like the combat very much and it can be frustrating at times, but it's beautiful and packed with detail. The skill system was really neat too, I liked the cooking skills for hunting boars and roasting them over an open fire.

I bought Risen in a previous sale. I still haven't beaten it and the combat was wildly frustrating at first (it gets easier as you level up and get the hang of it), but I still love that game and recommend it to fans of the genre. I just got to a good stopping point and when I tried to get back to it after an extended time away it was tough. Great game though and worth the $10 if you like that type of RPG. I love the dialog in it, it all feels very natural and I felt like the dialog options suited what I wanted to say at the time.

Steam servers am hammered? At least now its letting me download stuff (Audiosurf demo and Back to the Future ep 5 trailer...which will finish in 40 minutes) rather than doing the: "Steam error all are lines are busy at the moment" *elevator music* "please hold your downloads are very important to us".
