So the power just went out for all of 10 seconds while I had Steam up and was downloading a game.

I restarted my computer and when I went to start steam up I get an error box that says:

"Steam.exe (main exception): CMultiFieldBlob(pSerialized): Bad Field - extends past end of blob"

Every time. I already tried restarting my computer again. I need help

You need to press Up right as you're in the middle of the springboard. The game's pretty unforgiving about this, I found. If you press Up while even a little to the left or the right of the springboard, you're out of luck.

What usually causes Games for Windows Live problems anyway? I dont think i've ever had any problems with Bioshock 2, Batman, or Fallout 3...but then again my email is Microsoft based, so maybe that has an effect?

I can specifically see exactly when Games for Windows live loads up when I start Dawn of War II and the sound stops working in my headphones. If i unplug headphones music plays fine. While wearing my headphones I hear music from the first 2 splash pages then GFWL loads after that and music cuts off.

if I could rip out Games for Windows live out of my computer I would.

Lost Planet 2 looks friggin awesome. i'm impressed at how well it runs while looking like that, too.
