What the hell? Valve did it again and increased the price of a game from its inital sales price? Why the hell are they doing this? Glad I got Terraria for $2.50 or I'd be really annoyed about paying $5 for the game given the experience I've had with it.

I know this post is a couple pages back but i have this same problem. The only fix i had for it was:
  • Don't use VATS (create a character that doesn't use VATS)
  • Save often (i save before i enter a door that loads a new area and usually have killing something
I haven't found any fix for the crashing so i just have to put up with it. You would think after making PC games for XX amount of years Bethesda would know what the fuck they're doing and fix it but they haven't.

How do I make sure that I have all the DLC for Fallout 3 game of the year edition on Steam? When I check the GFW Live store it still prompts me to pay up for the DLC content...

Valve makes the initial screw up of setting the price lower, most of the times

Since we're all trading stuff, I've got a copy of CivCity: Rome still from the last sale for trade, as well as a copy of Terraria I'll consider trading since it was for my g/f who will never play it.

Also, MNC 3 day pass somebody can have if they'll actually use it.

To be honest mate I don't even remember how many of these big sales they've actually had. I want to say the first one was either in '08 or '09.

well I was considering grabbing Terraria if a friend of mine did a 4-pack but now I say screw it

don't raise the price mid-sale you assholes

So Valve makes a mistake and the publisher says wtf, increase the price? Valve is slipping if they keep making these mistakes. I was on the fence about buying Risen the other day but then they increased the price and I was like no thank you. Luckily I got in on Terraria before they did it again.

Publisher/dev sets the price at $5 for the sales, Valve screws up and puts it at $2.5 by mistake, they realize this and put it back on the price the publisher/dev wanted it to be.

How is it valve's fault that the game is $5? also its worth 3 times that, i mean shit, calm down people.

Best advice I can give is don't buy Terraria if you're a miser or an asshole. Everyone else should hop in even at $5. ESPECIALLY if you have people to the co-op mode with you.

Valve has actually made that mistake in the past and the dev after seeing the initial flood of sales told them to just keep it at the lower price (I forget the exact instance but it might have been with Recettear?)

in this case I would blame the devs, also note how Terraria isn't even in the top 20 for best sellers anymore (I think they were earlier in the day?)

i wouldnt blame anyone, it was a mistake and they stick to the plan. I guess it sucks for those who wanted it to be cheaper, but seeing how Terraria was recieved it is more than worth it at $5. Its a shitty situation, sure, but it makes sense that the dev doesnt want the game to go for $2.5, that's half the revenue.

A lot of people were able to get it for $2.50 today. I now feel disappointed that I can't get the same deal. I'll hold until the Christmas sale.

deal headers have been popping up the previous days during the whole sale.. we're not seeing anything today

I did a quick search for X3: TC ticket on here with no dice.

So I just bought the game, really liking my time with it so far but I haven't even figured out all the controls just yet.

What do I need to do to get the summer ticket. Open star map or w/e, then how can I get to an area with a sun?

Pressing all the buttons I did manage to get a list of all the structures in the 'sector' so a Solar Power Plant should show up if I can find one.

I got the prize so maybe that area has one? Also am I just going to be able to waltz in there and blow that shit up? lol

Sorry for the ignorance.

That could well mean we won't have new sales tomorrow. It probably does, but unless I'm looking in the wrong place for the header images, I don't see images for most of today's sales either.

The only header images I see for today are the ones that 3chopl0x confirmed - Dead Space, Hitman, POP and the X games.

Oh wow I noticed they raised the price on Terraria. I hope everyone who wanted it cheap got it, but anyone discouraged should still get it. With the amount of content in the game right now and the amount still coming from updates, it's worth far more than $10.

I just can't bring myself to buy it knowing that people got it for cheaper earlier in the day. If they had just released it at that price at the beginning, I would have probably picked it up. I know, it's silly but I just can't bring myself to do it now.
