And more than a few were complaining they had to think about it before deciding whether to buy. Really? Is gaf-age that poor? 2.49? I wasn't sold on whether I'd actually like/play it, but I didn't need 5 hours to decide. It was 2.49. What the heck.
Many were at work or had thing to do. It is a 24 hours sale, they didn't expect the change in price.

EA support, take two:

Oh boy! Wonder if I'll get escalated again.

Why didn't you just create a new EA account with your current email address? Seems kind of odd to jump through so many hoops for something of no consequence.

I obviously did create a new EA account with my current email. You can't talk to support without an account. But I would still like access to my original username (Stumpokapow) rather than the alternate one, especially if future EA games become more tightly tied to EA accounts.

It was fun hoping each day for a Vampire sale, but I won't bother waiting for a sale three years from now to save a couple dollars. Today you are mine.

Is Neverwinter Nights 2 any good? I really enjoyed the first one in the view that it had, but the videos it shows for the second seem more like Oblivion or something instead of the glorious top camera view like BG2 and NN1.

Any opinions?

EDIT: Bought it. Really had no choice with the clock ticking down =P

That's the difference between two and a half McDoubles, and five McDoubles. And five McDoubles is just too much.

I have the 2nd and 3rd Seasons of Sam & Max but not the 1st. Is the 1st season needed for story continuity or can I skip it until later and play through 2 and 3 because I am low on money?
Could someone answer this please? I have five minutes left.

I'm not saying everyone, but if you browse the threads, there were a couple that stated they needed to think about it. Those people complaining are pretty ridiculous.

Ok, so it is going to be recaps. Last games I'm going to buy are Bloodlines, Retribution and hopefully Batman AA.

It was an epic sales thread folks. I think we can do a hall of shame by tonight.

OMG, in a complete fucking haze I bought DoW2 Retribution. I noticed when chrome asked me to launch Steam I was like wtf?

Glad this sale is ending.

Sorry for such a dumb question, but does this game have RPG elements? Someone made a post suggesting this, but previously I just thought it was a straight strategy game.

I might get it since it sounds like the recaps are all for games I already own. :(

There's gear, levels, and a skill chart system in single player.

It sort of is but just in the way of returning characters for the second. You can skip it.

BUY DAWN OF WAR ASAP, IT'S A PRICING MISTAKE!

Oh, I see.

I guess I could see how it would be hard to verify that you're the actual owner of the original EA account, without access to the original email address. May be lost to the cloud at this point.

You can do Kalt solo. Just need to spawn a bot through console, set sv_cheats to 0 and enter retry so the session retries. That's how I got it. Also need to set the bot to imitate you.
Oh, snap! That would've made it a little easier :)

Damn it. The Retribution price mistake is seriously tempting me.

Then I look at my friends list. Nobody has any hours playing this (seems everyone is under an hour). A person I know who sunk a ton of hours into the earlier games has .5 hours. That has me seriously questioning just how good it is.

EDIT: Nevermind. I see he was 53 hours total. .5 was just for the achievement farming.
