Steam Summer Sales Thread: remember: you can actually play after buying

So to recap...

Almost all games are on sale, individually and by publisher.

Then you have the super packs heavily discounted.

Then 12 dailies instead of just 1.

And don't forget the ticket earning system that changes every day, wins you things that you get to claim for added fun, and gives you a place in a giveaway of your top 10 on your wishlist.

Where.... where did the SSFIVAE deal? Oh man... :-(

Had an emergency call from a customer. /cry

It's still there. I'm of two minds about it. I doubt it'll go on daily sale, but it could. The price could change because it doesn't seem right to be 33% off before it's even released on PC.

Third mind: I suck at SF and shouldn't be buying it anyway.

What was the sale price on SSIVAE?

$26 and change.

LOL. Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition's sale was meant for Street Fighter IV. You can see that that is on sale now and Arcade Edition isn't.

That actually makes me feel a bit better because I just pre-ordered it a few days ago. :p

Guys remember that MoH includes a beta key for BF3, question is... does that key is worth 10 bucks to you?

Owners of Medal of Honor will also receive an invitation to the beta for another highly-anticipated EA shooter, Battlefield 3™.
Battlefield 3 is the latest entry in the award-winning shooter franchise from DICE in Stockholm, Sweden.

So does anyone know if MoH is worth it @ $10? Or is my money better spent elsewhere?

I guess I'm in the minority, because I thought the SP campaign was quite good. Short as hell, but worth $10 IMO.

I'd like to know this as well (assuming you mean Steam, not a juicy steak).

I'd say maybe, if you're into multiplayer. If it's just for the sp I'd say no.
Oh god. My bad I was typing on my iPhone. But yes steam steam not a steak.

SSFIVAE isn't out yet, so I wouldn't be surprised it doesn't drop any lower during the Summer Sale.
I meant it more like "the -33% (or -40%) isn't a mistake", which I was totally assuming it was, given that it's Capcom and all :p

EDIT: shit, spoke too soon :(

I recommend playing the demo first. It's a good game.

With my slow internet, I'd be done downloading the demo after the summer sale ends :'(

No but seriously, if it's less than 500mb, I'll test out the demo

OMG the demo is 34mb!!

So The Witcher 2 is $36 on Amazon. Does the physical version come with anything extra that I wouldn't get if I bought it on Steam? Also can the physical copy be registered on Steam?
Reposting this for a new page. Just want to make sure before I purchase.

Impressions?!?!?!?!?!?!

Seriously looking into this title :'(
People always talk about how good it is on here and it's only $5. I've never seen it for less personally so I'd say go for it. I did.

Jeez, thank God they gave TF2 a week before starting this. The servers are a mess.

Had to disable Steam Guard to effing checkout out. Made me re-enter my user name and password at checkout and after I did that, started squaking about how the computer wasn't authorized.

Considering Steam Guard is a complete POS for me and doesn't properly authorize anything other than my main computer, I was worried it fucked that up too and I was gonna get locked out completely.

Nothing in particular jumped out at me, but it looks like a few on my wishlist should have a daily.

I went with Bit Trip Runner and Oblivion. Bit Trip looks neat and I'm always in the mood for a good platforming game. I played Oblivion to death on Xbox but I thought it would be nice to have it in have it in my collection for some reason.

I think day one is going to look like so for me:

Bit.Trip Runner
Bit.Trip Beat
Recettear
Medal of Honor (mostly for the BF3 beta promotion)

I just bought The Witcher 2 over the weekend, but it's a steal even at $49.99 so I ain't complainin'.

Just got a perfect in 1-1 of runner (it's very easy) and it's not being recognized. Think that challenge might be borked, for now.

Edit: Just did the swords and soldiers one as well and it didn't unlock either...

You guys honestly thought that Crapcom would do something nice for gamers?

The same one that is shitting on paying customers with DRM and no resave on RE: Mercenaries?

The last good thing they've done is bringing TvC Westside.

Maybe I'll wait until $5. :/

So many people are against it, I'll get TDU2 instead.

Wait a minute, MoH = BF3 BETA. BOUGHT!
