Steam Summer Sales Thread: remember: you can actually play after buying

People need to let the SSF4AE thing go. It is fairly obvious that it was an accidental inclusion to the 33% Capcom published games portion of the sale (http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Capcom). If you got it for $26, grats, if you hesitated, be more decisive, if you just flat out missed it, it probably wasn't the first time and definitely won't be the last that you missed a deal. We'll see if it gets 33% off when the game releases mid-sale, but that'd be awfully generous of them.

Recettear and Bit.Trip are mine!

Can you mod the Oblivion GOTY version? For some reason I've got it in my head you can't.

Oh Fuck....

THQ pack has Titan Quest....

I need this....

Does anyone want a Steam Code for Brink and a D2D code for Hunted:Demons Forge in exchange for this pack? Please?

Okay, I am rocking a year-old Netbook - is Recettear low-spec enough to run on this? I might just buy anyway on the off chance I upgrade sometime soon, but input is appreciated. I am not a PC gamer in any capacity but Recettear always looked like an awesome concept.

Hows the Borderlands PC port? I remember hearing awful things back in the day?
Other than the FOV being weird, it was fine for me when I got it a few months back. There are fixes for the FOV but it's still annoying since you need to set it to a button and it reverts back when you get into a vehicle.

I'm going to wait and see if the Borderlands GOTY Four pack goes on sale as well, I'm sure there will be three others that do the same and will join me if it pops up. :)

How is Retribution? Worth the price? Considering picking it up while it's on Daily Deal, even if the price is bad compared to the US price.

From a quick Googling of "Oblivion Steam Mods" it sounds like most stuff works with it, but you need to do some hurdling to get some "Mod Extender" thing to work.

I'm guessing it's recommended to play the original Longest Journey before Dreamfall?

Yeah, but it's great. Just be sure to have a guide near you when you're stuck for long. It's classic point & click adventure (despite 3d graphics) so you WILL be stuck.

For those people wondering about the "Get a Tan" Steam achievement on Toki Tori. On Forest Falls: Level 6, there is a sunbeam in the upper right corner that you can stand in. There are 10 of these you can stand in.
Thanks. How long does it take to get to that level (I'll be buying TT tonight).

It could probably run on a PS1. There is a demo on Steam if you want to be sure about it, but you'd have to have some seriously outdated hardware to struggle with Recettear.

For 15€ I say you'll have a pretty good time. I think it's a great game, especially if you like RTS/RPG blends.

To all the people asking about Longest Journey, don't buy it until the end of the sale!

At some point it seems kind of silly to wait on the edge of your seats when the game is 2.50 right now.

At most you'll save, what, an extra dollar if it becomes a daily deal?

Ok I had to bite the bullet on Borderlands. I've wanted to play that so much but the rental stores here suck and don't carry crap for 360 and ps3 and my PC can run it so what the hell. 8 bucks is amazing.

Telltale complete pack is so mine, have been waiting on that pack for a long time. How is Medal of Honors single player? Would never play any multi. How does it compare to BC2s single player, paid 7 and change for that.

That level doesn't take very long to get to, but that's where the first sun beam is, the other ten are in the other levels somewhere.

Ugh. The Witcher 2 is 33 dollar/euro, but 33 euro is closer to 22 dollar.

Any US gaffer that's willing to gift me The Witcher 2? I'll refund by gifting a game or games that add up to 33 dollar that have a better euro/dollar exchange rate.

So essentially clearing phase 1 should do the ticket for BEAT right?

I haven't played Lead and Gold =/

With the shit pricing and the original "I'm going to fuck you in the ass" DRM plan?

The game should be $30 MAXIMUM.

If you say so.

Actually, Super SF IV getting an arcade release was pretty nice of them too when you think about it.
