It seems like a really good advice ..... but ...

I not really sure if I should listen to you ^^

Well, I cant do anything about it. You asked whether its a good game and I told you, yes if you like the genre, support to devs, which made good games.

If this is putting everything a bit into relation, I only bought 2 games this sale so far ;)
And lots of the 150 games was from huge developer packs, because they are so dirt cheap.

Tnx Toma, I may even get SpaceChem as well to thank you properly. ;-)

If you can buy ONE game to thank me properly hold your horses and buy Frozen Synapse please if you like xcom/chess, it is strategy GOTY material. I hope I'll find a few more people to buy it later next week before the sale ends. But right now SpaceChem deserves some love.

ok i bought spaceChem, this better hold up to your promises or i'll hold people responsible

Ask away if you got problems starting. Thats really the only complaint people have about it, that it has a bad way of introducing you to the game. If you got problems, in my huge ass post I wrote a basic tutorial at the end.

Should I nab KOTOR for $2.50?

Is it really as good as people say? Has it aged well?

NOTE: I don't care for Star Wars.
I played it last year for the first time, on the Xbox. Absolutely amazing, and I don't care/know the slightest bit about Star Wars. A must play.

Oh and I wouldnt recommend Dwarfs!? to be honest if anyone is curious. They took the basic digging idea of Dwarf Fortress, really, really dumbed it down to flashgame level.

From the screens I was expecting way more depth than it actually has. Also its not quite .. comforting that it doesnt seem to run on W7, 64 bit. If anyone else got it to run, thats fine, but I read that some configuration wont allow you to play it.

Ops, it seems I had already purchase Frozen Synapse... You're in luck, gentleman. ;-)

.
I was just kidding ;)

Spacechem sounds good too but it's more a game that I would like to have on my iphone rather than on steam....

Well downloading the demo, so let's see.

Asking again for the new page:

Any good aerial combat games? Don't care whether it's 2D or 3D, but preferrably arcade gameplay.

Looking for multiplayer experience?

This received some love I believe:
Dogfighter

I played it as well but didnt have a few friends to play it with, which kinda bored me after a while because I dont like to play these games with strangers.

Not enough SpaceChem love, I am updating my wall of impressions right now. Be prepared, unprepared Gaffer.
Here's the deal - you're buying Eschalon: Book I or II and I'll join your group of Spacechem-addicted. :p

I'll buy both and you consider (i am not asking for more than a serious consideration) picking up Frozen Synapse as well. Deal? :p

(The price of Frozen Synapse is for 2 copies and it may get a daily deal, so waiting doesnt hurt.)

Edit:
Because thats the game I actually want you all to play because we need a few more people in the community to play games with.

Well, point taken then. I'll buy the Eschalon games later this day.

And please come back to the FS thread after the steam sale, I'd like to organize another tournament. :)

So far couldn't be happier with picking up dark Messiah. What a cool game. Can't believe I missed this one. Yesterday was a great day. 20 spent 11 of that on Civ V off gamersgate and activated on steam. Damn I love steam sales.

Later I need to team up with someone to get lead and Gold achievement!

You just made me buy SpaceChem instead of Bloodlines. Good job.

Oh shit, I know a few guys who will kill me for that. Hopefully they dont read this page.

And bloodlines was fuck awesome btw. If it gets a daily deal I am def. going to pick that up again.

The_Player said:
To be hones, Bloodlines not as good as other gafers describes. It sure has both fantastic story and very deep game world, but it's also almost unplayable. Of course, if you ain't masochist.

Yeah well, the games sure gotten a bit old. But in terms of depth its quite in the top league of RPG's.

"Almost unplayable" is also a description some would give Dwarf Fortress, which indeed is the most complex game ever made, but nonetheless one of the best as well.

Did I already mention that you guys really should buy SpaceChem?

Here is the updated list why:
You can add me to the list. I spent over two hours with this game yesterday and had a blast. The "rules" are simple, but the game becomes very complex and fascinating. I love it. The music is kind of cool too.

One question: after every level there are detailed graphs that show how you did compared to others. These graphs seem to consist of large data sets. However, when I press "Tab" to show leaderboards, I only see about three entries. What's up with that?

They have a patch for that. Anyways can somebody please grab SpaceChem for me? I would do it myself but I'm going to bed. Yes this is a strange request lol but if somebody gifts me the game I'll pay them back immediately through paypal when I wake up in like 8-10 hours.

I've been good for it previously with 4 and 2-packs before.

Steam id: TheWaqman

If I wake up to owning this game somebody pm me and let me know who the santa claus was. peaceeeeeeeee

You only have friends shown in your leaderboards. You mean that? They dont show the whole thing.

It's just a warn that the game isn't for everyone, but for those who aren't frightened away by the bugs, shitty graphics, and lack of actually gameplay.
Also, can't say for everyone, but my head starts aching after, like, 40 minutes of playing Bloodlines. And graphics... I just can't stand it. I did enjoy the game, though.

Is there anyone who could gift me Dark Messiah from the US for 2,50$(or wherever its uncut)?

I dont have paypal though :( I'd gift you back a surprise game during the sale if you are fine with that.

What? This game still holds up extremely well.

Free copy of Saira, you have 4.5 hours to get your copy. The dev will email the codes after that time apprently.

Normally 10 bucks on Steam, and is 2.50 during this Summer Sale.

Heres the Steam page for referance.

I kind of wish Knytt and Stories was on steam so I could buy it and support those awesome games, I heard some iffy stuff about Saira but i'm up for giving it a try.

Grabbed Dark Messiah.

Portal 2 still downloading. I am distracting myself with DIY (actual work - not the name of a game) and Football Manager.

I really want to buy Vampire but I'm holding strong in case it's a daily deal, which it probably won't be.

But still... these sales really test my self control like that, haha.

Yeah well... its not "bad" bad actually. And it certainly looks fine for a 3D game this old.
