But did all those other levels play themselves? That's what was being implied.

They didn't but I didn't really try that either. I was just commenting on the game itself I think I meant to quote a different dude. :p

I want Shogun 2. How cheap is the deal today? Has it ever been cheaper before in Steam or anywhere else?
Like most PC games, it was cheaper than £18 on launch day at retail. This isn't much of a deal at all. Avoid.

It's an FPS RPG that has rock solid melee combat, excellent environmental interaction and still holds up decently in the graphics department.
Only 2.50 anyways... it can join the backlog!

Then you have your answer.

Bloodlines is the perfect answer to your question. After that, I'd recommend the Witchers and Alpha Protocol, but none of them compare to Bloodlines.

Damn CIV 5 is GUD.. literally had to force myself off of it after getting stuck in the one more turn, one more turn, one more turn, one more turn, one more turn, one more turn.

Fucking paradox.

So what do you guys think of the chance of Metro 2033, Stalker, and Crysis becoming\daily deals?
Metro is very likely, Stalker there is a great chance of too. Doubt Crysis though.

I'm really not feeling the sale this year, I think after a few steam sales you end up purchasing most of the cheap games you wanted

Yeah. Even after careful perusal of the catalog, even a wishlist of everything I think I might sort of theoretically someday want is only 17 titles now.

I could live without Crysis for a while, I hope you're right about Metro and Stalker, they both look amazing.

It would help if some of the games didn't take so long to update. I already had Shogun downloaded but it re-downloaded the whole game for the summer challenge update.

How are people getting the Summer Hits ticket in Lead and Gold?

I played the game quit a bit, and I just don't see how you can get 7 headshot kills in a row.

No kidding, I haven't gotten to play any games I've bought yet. On and off downloading at around that speed.

Buddy up with someone and headshot them 7 eyes.

Looking forward to Blood Bowl (23%).

I gave it a very brief chance on 360. A combination of better looks, more suitable controls, and more patience should do the trick.

Has anyone played Dungeons? It actually looks pretty fun but seems to have fairly mixed reviews. $13.50 isn't QUITE into impulse range yet, but it's also a daily deal...

I bought it awhile back when it was on sale for $20 during a Midweek Madness or weekend deal, don't remember which one it was. Anyway, I haven't played it a lot but from what I have played it was fun. I can tell I'll get my money's worth out of it.

I think i'm gonna get Space Chem since everyone is raving about it. I'm still waiting on a Morrowind daily deal and maybe a Penumbra Black Plague Gold Edition daily deal? Yeah i'm pretty sure it's that's not gonna hapen and i might just buy Black plague gold at the price is right now.

Bought one game so far, Dawn of War II; Retribution, and have played it for an 1.5 hours. :)

Also played 1h of TF2 and AaaaAaAaa for the tickets.

Wish I could see progress for the Dawn of War II ticket.

Tried everything and I still can't get KOTOR to work, what a ripoff

Have you tried playing the game in windowed mode? I was having a hard time getting it to work too but I got it to work perfectly when in a window.

Australian right? Had the same problem, switch to a US server and you should get better speeds.

I personally went to US - Seattle and my speed went from 10kb/s to 300kb/s

I've been combing through this thread, but couldn't find anything about this, so...

Is Hamilton's Great Adventure worth it for $5? The trailer makes it look pretty decent. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets included in some pack later, though.

There's a demo. Give it a try.

I love that Steam sales actually have a (minor) backlash, now. Never seen that, before! You can get he first five GTA Games for $7.50 today, and yet the response is still meh for some of you, somehow.

I mean, if you have a Steam library of 200+ and have already picked up The Usual Suspects (Valve pack, id pack) then I get it. Although, eve then, what did you think was going to happen? Brand new games were suddenly going to materialize?

Im just trying hard not to buy stuff Im probably not going to play. Majesty 2, Mass Effect, NeedFSpeed:HS, and others are already bought and I havent come close to playing them yet. Im pretty sure even though that GTA pack is nice, I might never get around to them. Theres not enough time.

lol bought that alien swarm game for the summer achievement (and also just to add to my big list of games) and tried to join a co-op game... couldn't find a single game during the 30 minutes I tried. Maybe I'll have better luck with it after I get back from dinner but I did not see that coming haha.

getting all excited to play a game before realizing you didn't install it yet is :(

That's why you start installs before you go away/go to sleep.

consider it a learning experience

It's really not a very good game.

Also check your videocard settings from CCC or Nvidia Cpanel. Forcing AA or some other setting may cause crash.

No cloud support for Recettear. :(

Only a few support it.

Is electricity free where you come from?

No, but I won't go broke from not shutting down my PC every night. Seriously, does anyone here actually do that?

Also, the stand by feature they put into modern 'puters is very helpful.

I use "sleep" mode. Much faster startup and saves more energy than keeping it on.
