People are saying that reviewers were hating the game before it coming out, but I say a lot of people from this forum are loving the game before coming out and loving it more because it was hated.

Both point of views are biased. The comments about EVE being unrealistic are dumb though.

A character should be whatever the developer wants it to be.

Me personally, reviews are good. Might get it on sale but it feels like a weird game to play. Like I look at how the character is portrayed and makes me feel uncomfortable playing it as it seems it has too much sex appeal. The character could look how they want it to, but adding sexual content in a game is just unappealing for me, no matter how the character looks like. Softporn just feels icky for me.

This might be offensive but needs to be said, but for the people who are fighting over how great she looks and are obsessed with her body over the internet. Just think how a long term partner would react to you getting triggered to the whole EVE’s situation. Any mature woman would find this behaviour creepy and uncomfortable. Just the mentality would cause long term problems. There may be exceptions and that’s great, but just seeing the people who want to buy this game makes me even more uncomfortable buying it because I don’t want to be associated within that group. Sorry.

Game looks uncomfortable to play and people who really want it and are proud of it makes me want to buy it less.
Klepek is that you?

You can already tell there are bunch of purple members who most likely got ban hammered from that suffocating echo chamber and came here instead. I have zero problem with that. They can voice their opinion without getting banned, as mods in this site tends to be a lot more lenient and mentally sound when it comes to getting triggered and banning everyone, so they can voice their opinion as however as much as they want as if they were in purple chamber, doesn't matter if they say this game is anti-female or overly sexualized but just don’t expect people to quickly agree with your posts and don't be too surprised when they throw heavier, explicit personal insults at you.

Why are you bothered by sex appeal?
Enjoying the sight of hyper femininity is perfectly normal if you’re a heterosexual man, in real life, art, movies, games. It’s pure biology. There is even science proving that looking at nice breasts makes you happier and makes you live longer. Look it up. Don’t let internet trick you to think you should fight it. Enjoy it! 🙂

Lol dude I showed the demo to my wife and said to her "look. 2024 is a great year. At first I thought, Tifa got the best tits of 2024, you remember that game I showed you a week before... now it's stellar blade".
She nodded her head disapprovingly and laughed but also approved lol.
I am a grown ass man. I can find attractive whatever the hell I want and I am not going to be playing a game on ps portal in a bathroom to hide from my wife lol.
She doesn't care and she had a good laugh.
I think having intimate seeeeeeeeeeeeex with real wife in real life everyda... at least once a week is a bit more graphic than fully clothed anime girl lol.

My gf had fun looking at me playing the demo. What is actually uncomfortable about playing this game unless you are a minor maybe?

There is a weird relationship between religion and wanting to be the knight for extra diversity, it doesn't actually go together so you gotta pick unless you just have an agenda.

Nonsense. A mature woman would have the mental maturity to understand that its just a video game. A good wife would be supportive of her husband's interests. He's not cheating on her with Eve. He's literally playing as her. And most women like to see attractive people on screen, male or female. its why most female focused entertainment features more sex and nudity.

If your wife is upset that you find Margot Robbie attractive then she's the immature one.

Wide linear with some large hub like city areas where you're able to take on side quests and stuff. It's not open world. I dont even think there's a map.
I think it's a bit more like GoW according to a couple of reviews I saw so semi-open I think is the term

My assumption is that most folks bothered by the sexiness of EVE are American and would rather see her intestines torn out of her body and her brains splattered all over the floor..again just my take based on 50 years of life

So the controversy was all a big nothing burger? Much like Hogwarts Legacy, it ended up in the respectable mid to low 80s. I expected at least a few crazy 3s and 4s, but no, the lowest is a 6.

I don’t think it’s just americans but I agree. Many gamers are desentizised on violence and want brutal death scenes but essentially virgins when it comes to anything sexy and think it’s awkward to look at a hot game character.
I find it strange tbh. But I grew up playing Sex Games on C64, and Barbarian too, ruined for life! 😋

The people who whine at sexiness have no right to complain about the ones who whine about violence.

Any reason why ACG and Skill Up didn't review this one?

ACG I know he sticks to PC mostly, but a lack of the Austrailian douche is a bit surprising.

I find this juvenile take on sexuality cringe af

She can be hot, but dressing like a sexy maid while killing some monsters and trying to tell a serious story doesn't work for me

Same shit with Nier Automata. People say the story is incredible and mature, but sorry, cant take it serious with a protagonist dressed like that just for some horny bait.

This is why Bayonetta works for me: she is sexy and the story doesnt take itself seriously. It knows its ridiculous and over the top, so it doesnt feel jarring.

Sucks that I cant ger over it, 'cause I played the demo and the game seems pretty great in other aspects.

If bayonetta works for you, I can't understand what's so different with nier or this.
It's just looks. If Shakespeare was a booby goth girl, would this change his work?

All outfits are optional you dress her the way you see fit. Game has around 30 outfits for ppl to have fun. If you are not into it, dress her with an outfit you see its apropriate for the setting, thers lots of them.

My wife doesn't really a gaming forum dweller, but she seconds this brilliant post in every way possible.

Also, smotimes women love to see really sexy and beautiful women in their entertainment too. Wild idea, I know.

Is Gaf gonna be okay when Stellar Blade gets below an 80 on MC?
Step 1) Gets a mid 70's score,
Step 2) People have meltdowns about woke journalists.
Step 3) Pretend like it's a masterpiece as some sort of protest against game journos.
Step 4) A month later no one talks about it because it turns out that it was in fact slightly above mid, and isn't really worth talking much about beyond culture war brainrot.
Step 5) Onto the next culture war talking point.

So about that...

This is what the sexually repressed degenerates at Reeee don’t understand. Women are just as obsessed with sex as men. They just express it differently. My fiancée and her friends are all avid smut readers. The shit that flies out of their mouths after they’ve had a few drinks is OUTRAGEOUS and would make a group of construction workers blush. They talk about sex way more than me and my male friends. Guy talk is mostly “nice tits huh?” Meanwhile women be sharing every intimate detail about their sex lives amongst each other lol

The weirdos at the other place are often porn addicted shut-ins with bizarre fetishes who have little to no interaction with women out in the real world. They feel deep shame over their degenerate sexual desires and project said shame on everyone else.

What the f*ck is this analogy? Shakespeare is the writter, not the actor. And I've already explained why it works with Bayonetta.

Of course looks matter, ffs. Try to imagine a scene from a movie where you got emotional and put a thong on the character. Looks ridiculous and takes you out of the moment.

All outfits are optional you dress her the way you see fit. Game has around 30 outfits for ppl to have fun. If you are not into it, dress her with an outfit you see its apropriate for the setting, thers lots of them.
Even the basic outfit is already sexualized and ridiculous. No woman would fight monsters using something like that. She wears heels on the battlefield, ffs.

Exactly! in Silent Hill 3 which super dark game you can dress her up like this.....
73C2AA1E86C957B65FE96BC3B1560A002E24D15E

Some of these complains are so petty.

There's a reason why this is not her default outfit. I wonder why that is ...

I dont have a hate bonner against this game specificaly. As I said before, Nier Automata is just as ridiculous, and 90% of those anime japanese games with girls in bikinis fighting monsters during medieval times.

If you dont mind it, more power to you. To me, its ridiculous af.

That's something i noticed as well, unless the dude is a creppy porn addict, women talk about sex much more than men, specially along women.

The people bashing Stellar Blade because of the character's attractiviness just want to put themselves on some kind of pedastal or are looking for clout.

So about that...
The crazy thing is I was wrong about Step 1 and STILL somehow right about Step 2 lol. They just decided to direct their anger towards IGN for *checks notes* a 7, you'd think it was a 3, but no, a 7. These people literally can't function without making enemies, their entire identity depends on being outraged, they've become everything they hate, the nu-SJWs.

This has nothing to do with so-called culture warriors though. I've been here long enough to know this happens with every game that comes with some anticipation. The people hoping for a good score will flame every review that gives a score lower than what they think it deserves.

Women just tend to be more abstract in their sexuality, which is why they often gravitate toward smut novels, while men are more visual and prefer porn. Cause we just wanna see ass and titties lol

First their bodies are artificial and second this game about fighting alien monsters, are you seriously expecting "realism" here?

Also you have show like Ghost in the Shell which is known for dark and mature stories and Mokoto is dress like this.

In the original movie she literally goes to missions naked.

In this specific case it is, anyone who's been paying attention knows it.

In this specific case it is, anyone who's been paying attention knows it.
In this case they are blaming it on culture war issue bias, but in another game they will blame it on console war bias, or anti-japanese bias, or whatever, the behavior is the same regardless of what is attributed as the bias leading to the lower score. The motivation behind which is that people don't like it when a game they want to do well gets a low review score, so they try to find a cause as the reviewer having an innate bias against the game.
