Found this in the subreddit. If they couldn't make it more obvious.

I don't think there's much doubt; it uses the same prism motif, the same title and it's on a video game cabinet. It'd be a hell of a coincidence!

Speaking of, MrCheez, how's that sequel to Attack the Light going? Like, you're totally working on one, yes? Because it seems inconceivable to me that you wouldn't be after AtL turned out so great.

They've said on numerous instances that it's on CN if they want a sequel. I believe Grumpyface would jump at the chance of an Attack The Light sequel, especially since they have a proven engine that screams to be expanded on. Limit Breaks! Party Combos! Steven actually being able to join in on battles! The mind boggles.

It means a ton that people are still interested in a sequel -- it's really super motivating! And yes, there's SOOooo many possibilities when it comes to expanding on it.

There were already so many exciting ideas we wanted to include but couldn't attempt due to a lack of time, and since then the show itself has continued to grow and become even more amazing, introducing so many great new characters and an expanded world/lore that beg to be featured in another RPG!

So, with all that said: I don't have anything I can report right now... but stay tuned :)

Playable Connie? God, yes. Can we also have Greg as the character who transports the team around the map in his van? That way he could be a summon who can run over enemies on demand.

Oh, I will. You have my undivided attention :)

Friendly reminder that the book "The Answer" releases this Tuesday. Rebecca Sugar posted some pics of it:

The Answer Children’s Book is coming out this Tues, Sept. 6th!

Written by me and illustrated by the incredible Tiffany Ford and Elle Michalka!

You can find it at a bookstore near you, or order it here !

So, so excited for this book to be out, so glad to have had a chance to expand on this story with Tiffany and Elle, please check it out!!!

The top and bottom borders seem to have running commentary by Rubes and Saph, I wonder if it's like that throughout the whole book?

The art is great. If I ever eventually have kids I might grab this book.
I haven't quite gotten to the point where I'd buy a children's book just because I enjoy a show.

I would love to see the reaction of parents
(who haven't seen the show)
who buy this book only to find out it's about alien lesbian lovers with tons of barely hidden metaphors for sex.

So... I kinda did a "Steven Universe" marathon this week-end, and I'm almost done.
I just want to say one word (season 3):
Bismuth
.

By know, I should know what to expect of the show, but this episode turned everything up to eleven. After the many (too many if you ask me) breather episodes where we had to follow the muggles' lives of Beach City, the show suddenly goes back to being serious, with the return of
Jasper (Alone at Sea was a disturbingly convincing example of an abusive relationship, and I witnessed quite a few of those in my life)
, an incredible fight between
Steven and Amethyst
, and, finally,
Bismuth
, an episode which sets the mood very quickly with subtle hints that this episode in particular is not going to end well. And boy, I was not ready for that.

Really, I wish I had grown up with a show like this (and MLP:FiM). It is funny, it is colorful, it is clever, it is tragic, character have flaws and depth, and they all develop into better persons with time (well, except Lars), the show depicts love between girls tactfully (bonus points because lesbian love is incredibly rare in medias or said medias bury the gays very quickly; really, aside from Dumbing of Age, a webcomic, I don't know many fictions in which lesbians aren't treated badly or forgotten very quickly after a few episodes)... I know I sound like I'm gushing (and well, I guess I am), but I'm having a blast.

... I am so going to have withdrawal symptoms once I'm caught up...

Edit: Well,
Bubbled
was anxiety-provoking.

Interesting.

I hope we get another barn-style arc soon. That was one of my favorite moments in the whole show. More long, 10+ episode arcs with everything happening immediately after the last episode would be great for the show.

Honestly, I wish the entire show was like that, with occasional beach city episodes sprinkled in between. Not a fan of the "waiting for 10 episodes, something happens for 5 episodes" type of format. It results in the show always having to reset to the status quo for the most part shortly after something big happens.

Any other college Gaffers, what's the reaction to SU on your campus? I see a shitload of love for it here. Lots of people with Steven shirts and bookbags, I always end up getting a lot of compliments for my shirt when I'm walking around with it.

Although not officially credited on the episode's title card, Tiffany Ford also worked on the episode. Apparently, a few days ago she uploaded a promo pic for Last One Out of Beach City but then promptly deleted it (too early?). She may yet re-upload it in the future, but if not it's a good thing someone managed to save it:

I consider it somewhat spoilery: much like some of the recently-leaked screenshots it makes it plain to see who the focus of the episode will be on. It's a very nice sketch, though.

Episode leaked.

Last One Out of Beach City

Pearl episodes are fucking best episodes. And that's another song I want the full version of. And somehow they've managed to make the show even gayer than it was before lol.

End credits were amazing.

Anyone know of legal ways to stream this show? I have hulu, netflix and crunchyroll. Hulu only has seasons 1+2 sadly and the others don't have it. I don't have a cable subscription so I can't stream it via cartoon network apparently.

iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play. None of which are free.

It's pretty lousy that you can't stream from CN unless you have a valid cable subscription.

Last One Out of Beach City spoilers:

"I'm going to try drinking."

This easily has to be one of the best episodes of the entire series.

Full version Songs?
Here ya go

He seems to make short songs.

Pearl episodes are always topping the charts on my best list

Dat episode
Dem songs
Steven Universe reminds us why the show rocks. Oh, and
Pearl is best rock, Amy is best wingman, Steven still makes dem faces
.

Considering how much he's done with the music (especially in the Bismuth episode), I wonder if we might see Stemage in-universe at some point (even though we wouldn't get to see Metroid Metal in the show). Jenny apparently goes to metal concerts, after all.

oh my god this is so simple but so effective (it's an edit of Gem Drill, no spoilers)
That was pretty cool.

It's so weird seeing some tropes applied to gems, specially Pearl.

Another great quote:

"That's the most scared I've been since you almost let me die."
Steven has this thing where he makes everybody around him uncomfortable (with the truth), I wonder if it'll be referenced someday.

Just saw the episode, and I loved all of it. This was so much better than I thought it was gonna be. And I really hope
we see more of mystery girl.

I hope this is the beginning of pearl getting some legit character development. It would be cool if she finally moved on from rose finally and started dating someone else

This episode was AMAZING.

So thirsty. Pearl is so, so thirsty.

Only thing that would have made this episode better would have been Pillows music.

LWOoBC spoilers

When the girl with the pink hair entered the store, I sucked my teeth. "Great, more of Pearl crying about Rose like she's the only one who misses her. Shit's getting old."

But then... that tired dramatic point didn't happen! She... had a mature reaction! And the problem of the episode wasn't about Rose at all! Now I'm actually excited to see how she's gonna develop.

Finally, I can like this character again.

Absolutely gorgeous episode, definitely one of my favourites.

gaaaaaaaaaaay

Pleeeease can Hot Pink Human stick around. I need more hilarious accidental suave as hell Pearl, it was magnificent. The driving, the juice, trying to get out of the jeans - Pearl is the MVP.

Yup, I'd thought the exact same thing, and was really relieved when it wasn't the case.

I was not necessarily disappointed by last week's episode, but it felt like a step-down for the show.

But every time I feel that way about the show, they end up blowing me away and reminding why I love the show so much.

Last One Out of Beach City isn't the apocalyptic season ender we thought it would, and I love it even more.

New Pearl is awesome and her character growth was fucking aces in this episode. I can't wait to see how she continues to move on from Rose...even if it involves getting a number from someone who reminds her of Rose.

On a side note about the guest star,
it's fucking weird to have the show refer to a real musician (Mike Krol) by name, describe his type of real-life music, feature two of his songs as a major part of the episode, and a cartoon version of him singing his own song. On any other show, it would feel like a celebrity tie-in. But instead it's just the show plugging an indie musician they like. I'm sure his sales for the two songs ("15 Minutes" and "Like a Star") are gonna shoot up, or at the very least his Google Trends will.

Line of the episode was definitely
Steven calling out the elephant in the room: "Okay, nobody's gonna say it? She kind of looked like Mom. You noticed, I noticed, we all noticed." I was utterly dying with laughter that he would be the one to point it out so blatantly like that.
Steven Universe's cute humor doesn't always make laugh necessarily, but when it hits, it hits HARD. I also loved Amethyst
almost saying "Pearl, you're a badass!" before getting cut off. Of course Amethyst would be the one to use human curse words.
