Strange request: Looking for an app that marks the roads I've walked on.

Yes, metroidvania style. I want to walk through every road in my city, and have the app automatically filling the map until it's 100%. Does such app exist? I've been looking but at most they're fitness apps that fill the path you walked on, but the next time you take a different path, the previous path is no longer filled in.

TL;DR: Remember Test Drive Unlimited? Roads you've driven are marked in blue and roads you haven't been to are in gray. I want something like that but for my real life walks.

Here we are, people now want to 100% real life, achievements / trophies related to real life activities next!
I actually wonder if this could kind of work as positive reinforcement and motivate people to do things, like imagine kids getting trophies on their online account when they get a good grade at school, I'm actually pretty sure it could change things :messenger_grinning_squinting:

You could always hire a pilot and a programmer and make your own :) I actually spoke to someone who worked for Microsoft and flew planes for Bing maps. The federal government might have even purchased some of that information as well. It was an interesting discussion.

This reminds me of when i was playing Xenoblade and trying to "un-fog" all the areas in the map. :messenger_expressionless: I do have this type of OCD but thank God only for games that i love.

But it's a cool idea especially nowdays where gyms are closed in most countries and people like to walk outside more.

I think I found not quite what I was looking for, but damn close. It's not cheap, though so it'll have to wait:

I was going to suggest this app when I saw the title of the thread. I used it a ton when it launched and it was a lot of fun but ultimately just showed me how little I deviate from my habits. For $25, if it’s something you’re after, I’d say it’s worth it

Persona 5 encouraged me to be more charismatic/outgoing and care more for my relationships with my friends and family. Pretending I was building up my social link with real life people helped me literally break out of my comfort zone and become a better person no cap.

Sounds like a nice niche product, if you can’t find it why not consider making a business plan, getting some investors and having it made? Many banks will lend to you if your developing an app with a good plan.

I use Pacer but that only tracks number of footsteps, not actual locations.

I would imagine such a product would have crazy privacy implications, tracking every place that a user has been, and doing that for all users, seems wild. Maybe it would be possible though...
