Laura's english voice is so bad, only good thing is that taunt. Japanese isn't much better, but atleast I can't tell what she's saying.

Yeah. They really screwed up with that one. It would have been cool to get someone with a thick accent, like Chel in Rising Thunder. Her look does not go with her generic white chick voice at all. Keeping it Japanese for sure.
 
I love Street Fighter V. This game is more however plays the game with proper fundamentals win. 4 and V are way different games.

My UK PSN account that I created for the sole reason of testing games has been invited to the SFV beta. I don't recall every even trying to sign up. This is not a game I could be good at. LOL. Buy maybe after my trip this weekend I will try it out.
 
I tried to play the beta early this morning....

Was very surprised when it logged me into the sever and then told me I needed to update, but still let me into training mode while the update downloaded.

After it was patched I attempted to get some matchmaking done, but after 30 minutes waiting, no matches ensued.

Played around with Nash some. I didn't expect to like him, but damn... He's got some nasty setups! Might have to main him if Ken doesn't work out till Ibuki drops. Not a fan of his critical art... But I guess you can't have it all.

I missed out on playing the beta this morning. Can anyone confirm any differences with the current characters? Especially Nash, since I heard he went through some rough patches inbetween Beta 2 and now.
 
Out of curiousity are the Beta codes region specific? because the codes I gave a friend didnt work. I am using a US psn account.

Must say it was fun to play decent Nash players, but tired of all the Ryus as usual.
 
Have two US PS4 beta codes for those who don't want to go through the amazon process. Can't seem to give these things away.

Just got home from first job, beta down...heading to second job in an hour....hope I can get some matches in tonight when I get home.
 
That's pretty messed up that they start the beta at 3am then put a hugeass maintence window smack dab in the middle of the day :/

I saw James Chen tweet that as well and went to test it.. they're both still there. Not sure exactly what he's talking about unless it's that you can't do LK-MK ~ LP-MP combo. I think the pushback might be too far and the MP won't connect.

Only tested that on Laura though.

Gotcha. I know about both the target combos being nerfed with more pushback. Thanks much.
 
Anyone else kinda dissapointed that they introduced breakable walls for stages and only have them in 1? And special round enders like the bus and the noodles for that matter.

Hoping they are just saving the rest as a surprise. The other stages have stuff suggesting they have other rooms. You can straight up see one of them on the waterfall stage right side.

Don't think LK-MK got more pushback, but nobody will be doing cr.LK into LP-MP in this beta.

I think that the Nash thing was that you can still link the TCs, you just can't link into the first TC from a crouching light and still combo the whole thing? Something like that? I dunno, I haven't put much time on him

They link, but the MP whiffs.

Kinda, but the stages themselves have major performance issues, so that's a secondary concern at this point. I just want everything in them to run at the same frame rate. Overall, they're worse than IV, which I would not have expected.

Yea I'm disappointed in that tbh. I think I noticed that they made the bus closer after you break through the doors on the left side. Probably so the stage wouldn't be very long.
 
Yes. Really hope they don't skimp out on this one.

I am 100% sure that the new Zealand stage is getting at least one other side.

We can see inside the temple on the right. They would have never bothered to model it with that much detail if it only appeared 1 second during the intro of some characters.
