After an hour of trying I was finally able to connect and create a name. Then I promptly got disconnected again. lol
Is story mode the only thing that gives fight money and character exp? I'm afraid to play anything when I can't connect because I don't want to miss out on the fight money/exp.

using one right now, seems fine. although i'm wondering if my dual shock 4 is going to time out. this needing a ds4 to "authenticate" is stupid. I guess if you're going to tournaments you'll need a ps4 stick

Maxed out on a 970 at 1440p and the framerate is perfect. I realize a 970 may be better than what most people have, though.

. Should've read up more thoroughly on what was included but I figured I'd spend the first night just learning combos and stuff. Can still do it in training mode on my own, but damn those were useful tools in learning the very basics of a character.

I miss traditional Capcom bosses. This feels like it doesn't have one at all.
I like it, but it really feels different compared to the decades of fighters we've had. Maybe it has more? I'm not even joking, extra content could be packed in like they're suggesting, but it feels like it doesn't have its final boss yet.
I did 5 story, one round, and it feels slim. The game is great, but if you're looking for Seth or Shin Akuma then I'm either missing something or what.
I played for an hour. What's with such small packages this gen? SFIV felt a bit thicker in content even though I like this style. It feels fresh and new in some ways. A larger cast will make it stand out even more.

Did you go at 50 resolution with post processing and anti aliasing set down?

You can still be signed into PSN and not earn fight money by not connecting to the Capcom servers.

This game looks and runs amazingly on PC.
It is so smooth and responsive. It is awesome. It looks fantastic at 1440p.
i5-6600k, 980ti. So on the higher end of things obviously, but man.. it is great.

Servers seem to be getting slammed was on for a while then got booted. Having a difficult time picking a main everyone's so damn good. My gief is a monster.

Was able to log in long enough to register my ID. Gonna try some stuff out in training and head to bed.
That's because it's an Xbox controller. Native PS3 stick recognition is rare on PC, but almost every fighting game I've played that's on Steam (including USFIV) has it. Can't seem to get it to work in SFV.

I finished every story mode for all characters you end up with easily over 100,000. If I remember correctly it was around 160,000.
On PC my game was running slow.
So I changed the "Resolution Scaling" (2nd Option)
I turned it down to like 40 and everything else Low,
except Medium for anti-aliasing, shadows and textures.
Game seems to be stable at 60 FPS.
That's all that's important to me, game still looks fine.
Do whatever you can to get the game running at 60FPS.
Online matches will go smoother for both parties.
Seems the network code is based on the FPS of the 2 players.
