Has anyone gotten FRAPs, MSI Afterburner or anything similar working with the game? I can't get anything to work on Windows 7.

...wtf

those photos are old though I believe, it says they were posted 4 months ago, so the palettes may be incomplete or wrong now

I have Rashid's "normal difficulty" colors. Some do indeed make him lighter toned.

Edit: oh wow, his later colors are kinda lame. Not sure if worth the hard difficulty.

Do we know the date for the 1st content update & DLC character or is it still just "March"?

EDIT: I also just thought of something, presumably the DLC characters will also come with Story & Survival modes right? Should help the Fight Money grind.

Alt colors have been changing skin colors forever.

SFV Server ‏@SFVServer 54s54 seconds ago
We will bring down the servers at 7pm PST, to apply a fix to our servers. We hope to be back and function by 10pm PST at the latest.

welp, there goes my online training for tonight then. Wont be able to play after that.

I hope the 4 guys they have working on this game won't have to postpone all the March update content because they had to work on fixing the launch for half a week.

Posts are moving fast so ill re ask, i completed 3/4 of the story mode offline and not noticing i wasnt getting cash and all that stuff, its only when i relaunched the game and got online that i noticed that those STORY mode clears gave cash and other things... did i completely lose on getting that cash now that its completed and ive done like 3/4 of it offline?

Awesome I hope this fixes whatever is the issue! I'm going to be doing local matches with my friends tomorrow but it would be nice to play some online tonight.

Doesn't this imply that the servers were up in the first place?

They were sort of working at one point. Lobbies were busted but you could still get matches at an okay pace.

Run through it again and you should get your fight money and exp

->

1 and 2 are unlocked by default, 3 by survival on easy, 4 - 6 survival on normal, 7 - 10 survival on hard

I still can't believe colour unlocks are costume specific, though. they were on some crack with that one

Costume specific? You mean I have to do survival mode again just for new color options every time I get a new costume?

Just came from my friends house since he bought the game. Really liking it, more simple to understand and apply v-trigger functions compare to focus stuff. We were a group of 10, manage to go 10 wins in a row.

It was actually fun playing with all the characters. I like the simplicity of moves now, instead of seperating move toward the air and fowars moves, is all about the button used. This was most noticible for me with Ken's hurricane kicks and Laura's grab.

I can't say much for online or single player since I didn't get to experience that. Hopefully they add some of my favorites back (Sakura, Yang and Guy :P) in the future. Can't wait for Alex!!

Are the pre-order costumes available yet? I entered my code for Cammy's, it downloaded but isn't there as an option to choose on the char select screen..

Survival Mode is pretty imbalanced. Steamrolled my way through Normal until the last 5 when their AI suddenly pops off and gets really good.

You may not get the points, if you didn't you didn't lose out on ever getting them. You may have to replay the story portions, I heard someone deleted their save and then redid the story portion for them, or they may just be given to you.

This didn't happen to me so I can only go off of what I have seen some others say.

Alright, here are my general impressions of the Prima SFV Collector's Edition Guide. I really wanted it more for the novelty of it owning it, plus the Ryu/Ken art that came with it.

Also, forgive my potato quality pics.

Overall
Top notch. Great quality, awesome art inside, tons of good material. I can't judge it on a veteran fighting game player, but from a new person coming in.. it is amazing.

It comes with a voucher for an eGuide that contains all of the same information- plus any frame data, balance changes, etc for the first full season of SFV (calendar year).

This has a ton of common terms used in fighting games. It explains the various frame stages of the animations, footsies, frame advatange, chaining, trading, etc etc etc. Lots of good info here.

Character Pages
They are awesome. There is a main page for each character that lists standard moves, Pros/Cons list, and also how it changes when V-Trigger is activated. It lists all of the information you could ask for.

It also has pages on combos, any extra information about how to situationally use them, etc. Each character has an overall guide regarding Short, Medium, and Long Range.

Archetypes.jpg

It breaks each character down into an archetype and how they rank them for ease of use. It also lists each character and basically a scouting report about how to defeat those characters online/VS mode.

Concept Art:

The new characters in SFV all have a few pages each of concept art showing the evolution of the character from inception to what we have today in the game.

Like I said, I am more than pleased with it. It is a ton of good information, and a good primer as introduction to Street Fighter.

...now if I could only use their online network. ;)

Why thank you Moiraine ;)

Survival mode is SUCH GARBAGE.

20 minutes of playing nothing but braindead scrubs, and then Level 29 Necalli hits. This trash needs to be retooled.

This stuff should be in the game. Videos, something.

Crap. I might have to upgrade to windows 10 then :/. Thanks for the reply!

Wait for other replies, it would be weird if it was because you're using Win7! Maybe just a bug or something... :/ You can try with Shadowplay if you have a nvidia card.

hey y'all. got my copy in from Amazon today. not surprised about the server issues (works in my favor too because I have an exam tomorrow). anyway, ive been trying to find some info on this because when i first launched the game and messed around some with cammy in training mode, i noticed this really annoying scratchiness (this is the best word i can come up with to describe what i'm seeing) around the characters and is worse on brighter stages. now, i know this game has a little of the sumia art effect that sfiv had, but i'm shocked because it honestly looks like crap and from what i've seen (at pax and on the web), the characters look super clean and DO NOT have this scratchiness around them... is this the same for other people or do i need to heavily tweak my tv settings? not really sure, just have been disappointed by the visuals because when i saw this being played at pax, the game looked CLEAN... anyway, anyone else having this issue??

no offline content? wow thats odd ive spent all day playing offline have over 200k FM

I said ALMOST no offline content. And that's true. You get the barebones minimum, so I guess you can play through the ridiculously short story stuff over and over and stick to Survival (but better hope the server doesn't boot you as you make progress... because playing "offline" gets you no Fight Money).

Be reasonable; everyone and their dog at least expected an Arcade Mode.
