Just realized that I never use st.mk.
Yes. You can also view replays of certain people. The collecting 30 replays trophy takes like 1 minute to do. And FYI, for the watching 50 replays trophy you can just start the replay then exit immediately and it will still count.

I feel a little lost without Rose, Guile or Blanka.
Enjoying Rashid and to a lesser extent Chun, but it sort of feels like I'm wasting my time learning a character that I'm going to ditch as soon as Guile releases (as long as he plays like his traditional self - and I have a feeling he will).

Cammy's is definitely as good if not better.
You can beat it with Karin's st.mk with proper spacing, of course, same as any move in the game.

Cammy's st.mk starts in 9 frames and is -2 on block, Karin's st.mk starts in 7 frames and is 0 on block, which makes Karin's a bit better for frame traps. I think Cammy's st.mk reaches a bit farther though.
Everyone is pretty simple it's just that most people don't know how to develop a game plan.

An EX move is done by pressing two buttons of the same type (P or K) instead of one when you're doing a special move. This takes 1 bar of EX meter.
So for Nash as an example, ex Sonic Boom is the same motion but with two punches instead of one
Apply that logic to any other special move and those are EX moves

EX moves are performed by pressing 2 punches or 2 kicks.
ie: EX Hadouken = HCF,PP

What are the essential Ryu combos in 5 and when should I use them? There are a lot of combo videos online but most of them don't seem necessary, so I'm trying to narrow down what I absolutely should learn.

It doesn't, you set that in the Battle Options menu under Favorite Character (bottom left section of main menu).

Fang has so much potential
Gave up maining Ken, he plays differently than SFIV and I cant unlearn the muscle memory for it... Everyone sees my game plan coming and I get wrecked.
Switched to Karin, am winning consistently now and will use her till my girl Ibuki becomes available...
Thanks guys. I'm gonna look into this in Training when I'm finished watching Infiltrator. Seems like a good idea would be to be aggressive with Nash and corner my opponents.
