I've seen 2 hot Ryus.

Still looking for the Cammy costume in EU. Probably no chance now. I ain't buying it off ebay so I may as well wait until it appears in the store.
Might finally redeem the hot Ryu code I still have
I'm in the same boat. Want that Cammy and this Hot Ryu is just sitting there.

nah. Im in portugal with a portuguese flag, my matches were vs: UK, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Japan

Ok thank you, this makes me feel better, I couldn't get any matches last night because of the problems, & some people were saying that I would end up playing others with poor connections or no countries because of selecting the SFV flag

As I say the map shows my location as the UK which is where I am & people on PC who have used VPN are showing up in the VPN location & it is not changing for them, I hope these people can get the issue sorted out.

Is there any confirmation on the locations or flags etc?

won a match earlier with a air spinning piledriver... that I did by mistake.

ill take it :3

No problems remaining signed in last night, but I couldn't find any matches. Even tried joining lounges, but it told me each one was full. Things are at least better than launch day, & obviously a lot of other people are finding games; hope I have better luck tonight.

"Hot" Chun's hair is gross. Like MK9 Sindel-level. Hope someone one day improves it or replaces it via modding.

Dude, so terrible. Has happened to me way too many times now. I'm afraid to do HELL because A: I'll probably still die eventually and B: I'll probably just get kicked from the server when I'm close to beating it.

I know them FeeLz bro.gif

The main reason I'm not even touching that yet. That sucks man.

Final Destination confirmed
It wouldn't be that bad if it was normal, but this was my first hard run and I really wanted those damn colors for Fang.

At least I've figured out the computer for the most part. This shit is like playing SF2 all over again.
Yeah, I'm average with Ryu. Problem is he such a known character, I feel most people know how to counter his stuff and end up lacking confidence as him. So I would need to be a bit beter than knowing the basics, like, parrying stuff.

Weird, my connection is super stable today.
Well good luck sir. For what it's worth, the only thing I parry is obvious jump ins.

Luckily I finished Karin's normal survival when it disconnected from server 10 seconds later.

I found Karin's mp shoryu, the lp ressenha (qcb+p) is spammable against the AI, sometimes it's better to do cr.lp before lp ressenha.

Disappointed Karin doesn't have a white color outfit... Capcom pls.

I love how the guide has these ancient FGC terms like "neck kick" for cross-up. Never heard that before, but I can totally see it being used.

I still say top-down sometimes instead of overhead.

People neutral jumping over Bison during wakeup / jumping at Bison during wakeup when he has a CA stocked....what're you thinking?

the same thing people jumping at Hakkan with ultra 2 stocked were thinking

So I heard there's no character selection screen per se, you set a default main, is this an issue or non-issue?

Also, does anyone know if any American B&M stores got any of the Mad Catz sticks? I've seen absolutely 0 evidence that any physical stores got any stock.

I'm dying I'm having so much trouble activating CAs from the right, I can do it no problem from the left side -_-

Training mode.

10 reps on each side. You mess up once, you are back at 0.

Once you get that down, then 10 reps off a typical combo you do it. So a basic ryu one is something like jump in HK, crouching MK, Fireball, CA.

Consistency.

It's a non issue for ranked since you can always just change your main ahead of time. For endless battle; it's definitely a problem when people don't set their lobby to have character select on. The default is off and I feel like people forget to touch it.

I'm at work and I can't help but fantasize about a handheld version of this game :( I'd buy a Vita just for this game.

I'm doing that ATM :P can get ten CAs in a row with no mess ups from the left but I can't even get one or two in a row from the right. Just end up doing Shoryuken.

Has anyone found any Rashid tech or tutorial videos? Seems like hardly anyone is playing him.

Rashid seems like he's my go to character right now. I love his moveset, design, personality and his theme is probably my favourite in the game.

I'm pretty awful at the game right now... But he's my go to now.

Any Bison tips or strategies online? I'd appreciate the help.

As someone who has played a ton of this character I can say your crouching MP into LK scissor is super deadly.

If you do a MP into LK Scissor, and they block---try it again right after. If they don't hit a fast enough normal or block again, then you are going to counter poke them into damage.

Standard combo:

Jump in HK or HP, Stand HK, Crouching MP, into MK or LK Scissor. (Does not work if you are in v trigger)

Cross up combo- Jump MK, Cr LK, Cr LP, Fireball.

On your wake ups where you KNOW they will do something-Ek Scissors or Ex Devil Stomp are great options.

In V trigger abuse devils reverse. That shit is a 50-50 on if you hit them behind or in front. If you hit it, confirm into CA If you have it right away.

Dash through fireballs.

Stand MK is a great footsie poke.

Crouching HP is your best anti air along with stand jab and st HK. Just depends on range.

That should give you a good set of things to work on and set up into your play.

How do people feel about the Hori Fighting Commander 4 Fightpad? I'm just not feeling comfortable using the d-pad. I think it is keeping me from consistently pressing the same combos (mainly Ryu's Dragon Punch and Fireball). When I try to do either combination it feels like either one is likely to come out.

I used to have the same problem! But then I got a tip that totally changed how I was thinking about it. Go to training and practice doing the critical art from your deficient side. Notice what action your character performs INSTEAD of the critical art, and that will give you a clue on where your inputs are lacking. Does your character do a crouching attack instead of a critical art? Chances are you're pressing the attack button too soon. Does your character do a standing attack (or even a jumping attack) instead of a critical art? Chances are you're pressing the attack button too late, or your quarter circle movement is slipping too far and extending into the up-toward direction. Pay attention to the negative feedback the animations are giving you and course correct accordingly.

Appreciate it. Can't wait to relearn him all over again.

I think it's fair to assume a lot of people aren't actually rage quitting right now, and it's probably why they're holding off on punishing it. The stability just isn't there atm.

Turn on inputs so you can see them if you haven't.

Slow it down to idiotic molasses slow on your inputs. Just do Down, down towards, towards. Don't even add anything else. Just do that 10 times in a row. If you have ANY extra arrows as you do 10 of these super slow, restart.

Once you have the motion down slow, speed it up to the normal speed you do it in a fight. Got that? Now add the punch. If you are seeing extra inputs at any point, then start from 0, slow it back down.

Still having trouble after that I'm unsure what to say. Slow it down, break it down, rebuild it back up.
