Same here, except I've been playing SF my whole life! (Well, not 2/30 bad. More like 1/5. But still way more losses than I'm used to.)

Error 4006 is the bane of my win existence right now. Fml.

Finally getting together with my Ken. Learned a safer string to catch shit...but I still think his V skill is meh compared to some others.

As for the above quote - We had 4 betas to learn, and there is a flood of information in video and written format online on all characters to find already to learn combos, frame data, etc.

Plus some are just good at fighters over the course of playing them for years on end.

Just have to carve out the time to "prakteeeeec". :)
 
So like everyone else, playing CASUAL match and the game sais it cannot send my info to the servers...

Do i get cash for casual matches? or is that only in ranked?
 
A Nash just killed my 20 wins streak in ranked :(

Man, Vega is so, so, SO fun. Keep away with the claw, get in their face without, is such a cool way to play and it really makes this character unique.

I've been downing people trying to get in like there was no tomorrow, people just don't stop pressing buttons and getting claws to the face lol

Oh i know, i think chun isn't the character for how i usually play fighting games and i'll have to hit up tutorials eventually.

I just thought i might snag a few wins against other newbies with a short stint in training. No such luck ;)
 
so uh...when i get knocked down as dhalsim...how do i get away or what do i do. in sfiv i at least had ex yoga blast to trade. I miss my anti-air knee :(

teleport seems to recover so slowly in this. also what are some good uses of yoga flame in the air?
 
There is no way in hell there are this many quits before stats hit the server. I keep getting 80006 and 40001 (I think those are right) like 2 or 3 times in a row. It has to be a server issue and not that many salty people. I've probably lost a good 1000 or so points by now.
 
Ok, I'm logging out until the "failed to upload" error is resolved. I just had a great close match and won, only to find afterwards that the game didn't register it.

I can barely deal with the occasional disconnect, but this stings even more. Hope they take care of this quickly, because this game is too damn fun.

There are only two names. Your Steam username which pops up on your community profile and on the Steam menu, then your account name which is next to your wallet. Not sure what they could do with either unless they explicitly asked you for your Steam username.

I was very surprised you could combo into his super, I had to do it a few times in training to convince myself.

cr. lp > cr lk > lariat is a combo

counter hit things like cr. mp > cr. mp, crush counter things like st hp > dash up hp spd, not to mention comboable super work. he's not overflowing with comboability, but he doesn't have zero
 
Matchmaking is still utter garbage. Been waiting in practice mode for 20 minutes now with all settings set to any and nothing's happening.

When I actually manage to get into a match, results fail to upload
, which is fine since I lost all four matches that I've manage to get into so far.

Can't play with friends since for whatever reason they can't join my battle lounges and I can't join theirs.

I'm REALLY starting to regret buying the game.

EDIT: And disconnected from server. Lovely!

Guess the online population is higher right now than late last night west coast. I was getting a match (both types) every 30-45 seconds, had even some of them time out because I wasn't quick enough to accept.

Doesn't his v-trigger combo into the air grab? Pretty sure I saw that in one on the pre-release tourneys
 
So today I'm just getting kicked out all the time but when I'm in everything works pretty well. Every day is a new surprise with this game.

Not consistently. It will whiff at the worst times. Thats why I throw in a kick grab in there or an air grab to throw them off.

Edit: We can't be depending on V-trigger combos for 80% of the match...

His crush counter combos are deadly as fuck though.
 
So just to be clear, every arcade stick in the OP from MadCatz will work on PC but you need to download some third party software to get it to work?
 
Crashing quite a bit on PC. Don't have this problem with other games. Or maybe I'm getting disconnected, I dunno. Either way the SV5 window is completely gone without so much as an error dialog.
 
God damn it, Capcom.
I get a match and it starts to transition, then bam! Error 40002. Connection lost to my opponent, and then connection lost to the server. And in just that moment I get the achievement "Waiting Is Half The Fun".

The servers sure don't feel ready for prime time yet ..

Which buttons are you using? I keep getting stuffed when I try to slash anyone.
 
Got booted out on PS4 guess the servers are down again, I was playing just fine for the past 3 hours or so

Edit: Right as I posted this I logged back in
