Either there's a lot of use for it that hasn't been discovered yet, or it really does seems complete crap. The recovery on it after you start it, even if you cancel it immediately is sooo damn long, really seems like a really really really niche move

The timing on it seemed to be purely luck on my part but the one time I felt I put her V-Skill to good use was against a Ryu spamming hadoukens. Used the hit of armor, threw the mic which bounced and canceled a second one.

It's useless because she can only armor one hit. Not only that but she still has to complete her mic toss animation after.

Activating her V-Skill is like sending an invitation to the opponent to come from across the screen and combo her face in.

That's the point. You want the opponent close to you as Mika. It makes them approach.

To add to the other side, i just played with no RQ for about an hour and a half, so there's that.

Super smooth connections too as long as I only accept 5 bars.

Oh the pad I got is ps4 version so is direct input. I assume I have to wait for capcom to add support before I can use the controller?

Any software I can use to get round this in the mean time?

And combo her.

The animation is too long and leaves her too open.

The buff isn't worth it either since it's just for one throw and getting hit even once removes it. And the most basic buff is all you can hope to get unless your opponent is very inexperienced.

It's basically a really, really, really garbage version of Chin's drinking buff from KOF.

Not completely sure if it works with 3rd party controllers, but InputMapper, DS4Windows and x360ce should do the job.

If all they do is throw fireballs, then can't you just armour through the first one and cancel before the second one reaches you?

Mika's V Skill has a long ass recovery. That isn't viable.

You can armor through the first and hit the second with the mic.

I just finished survival with a character and my player level went from 144 to 0.
What is going on? Restarted the game, but still level 0.
Server error?

How do I beat Mika as Ryu. That's probably my most difficult matchup. I know nothing about her.

What's exactly getting you killed in the matchup? For general matchup knowledge, two of Mika's most important attacks to start her offense are charge HK and her slide, since they can lead into combos or mixups, both of which can be neutral jumped on reaction and let you punish with full combo. If you can prevent her from doing those two things, she's pretty much forced to jump to get in as you should be able to control the mid-range game with fireballs and Ryu's normals like c.MP or c.MK.

DP her jumpins. DP after getting knocked down. She can do litterally nothing other than raw super on her wakeup, so when you knock her down, you get free attacks on her.

More "advanced" stuff would be footsies, you can look her out pretty much entirely with good footsies, using your fireballs and normals at the proper lengths and moment makes it virtually impossible for Mika to do anything to you

"expert" level stuff - Parry, parry parry parry. If you can parry her consistently on her jumpins and charged HK's, you get a free win. It litterally gives you huge punishes off things that would normally be safe if they connect.

Why not use that EX move with armor on wake-up?

I defeated that "bipson" guy a few times in casual matches. He is very good, but funny to see him in that list :)
Damn, people are so strange and crazy, when online.
Wait...is he German? I played him, too

Haha wow. Have been trying to get through Normal Survival with Nash multiple times today only to get blown up by stage 27 Zangief everytime. Decided to try remote play on Vita just for laughs and managed to beat Normal Survival with Nash first try. I guess I should just stop using stick.

so we can all just agree that mika is pretty damn bad right? :(

She's great if you are great at reading your opponent and mind games. But in terms of solid mechanics she's lacking.

I generally use it when people want to zone. It gets them to change their mind real quick.

They could also just keep throwing fireballs and you'd end up with a ton of grey life an nothing to show for it..Well, maybe you be able to get off a marginally better than normal command throw...but yeah :/

Capcom please nerf the Vita.

Opponents used to do that in earlier leagues for me, but now they just patiently sit back and continue zoning. I'll only do it when I'm against a character who doesn't have that sort of reach, and we're relatively far apart from each other just so they can approach me instead of the opposite.

About the usefulness of Mika's V-skill...
I think the main use of that V-Skill, is fill your V-Meter. The only two V-Skills that give v-meter for just pressing medium attacks are Mika's and Birdie's. And Birdie doesn't have armor. So you fill your v-meter and get a throw buff as a bonus. I use it after I knock down an enemy.

last time was a good success, made it past ultra bronze with help from tips from chat, maybe I can get back there again after my awful losing streak since then.

time to take the Vita online and level up in rank matches

I just quit the fuck out of a laggy game. It seemed completely one sided since the Ryu had no problem reacting to everything and hitting all his stuff, while it was completely unplayable for me. No regrets.
